Honest Review This company installed an AC unit at the property in 2022, before I owned the house. I purchased the property in 2023 and later began renovations under a valid building permit. During the renovation, a Philadelphia L&I inspector advised that a mechanical permit is required for the existing AC installation. I contacted the HVAC company multiple times and followed up in writing, requesting that they pull the required permit for the work they performed, which is the contractor's responsibility under Pennsylvania code. Despite repeated calls and notice of the issue, the company has not responded and has not taken steps to pull the permit for their own work. This has left me responsible for resolving a compliance issue tied to an installation I did not authorize and that occurred before I owned the property. I would have preferred to resolve this professionally, but the lack of response and refusal to address the permit issue made that impossible. Based on my experience, I would not recommend relying on this company for HVAC work unless all permits are confirmed and documented upfront. read more

I called for an estimate of an oil to gas conversion, install of combi gas boiler and decommission of oil tank. All in most like a 20k - 25k job. This company does not confirm with you the projected window of time they will arrive until the morning of. Any other service company will schedule the window in advance or at least the day before. I received a call around 8 am and a voicemail noting a tech would be by around 10 - 10:30 am. I call back about 11 minutes later when I saw the missed call, the call center answers and I leave a message confirming I am home. I call back shortly thereafter and speak to someone in the office to confirm that I am home. Around 11:30 am, 1 hour after someone was supposed to show up, I receive a text saying I was next and please confirm I am home. I have confirmed twice at this point but within 3 minutes I respond saying yes I am home. The response I get is the tech was already sent somewhere else but I would be next. Why didn't they text me first thing in the morning? I had confirmed repeatedly I was home waiting. At that point I cancelled. Poor customer service before the tech even arrived. read more

Your technician said the shut-off valve needed to be replaced first, yet he still changed the water heater without fixing it and ended up soaking my carpet. He also never told me that the water pan had to be metal. Now you want to charge me extra for issues that should have been addressed from the start. I also offered to show you video proof, but you refused to review it, which felt unfair. After his work, another pipe that was not leaking before began to leak. I don't believe I should pay for additional repairs caused by the technician's improper work. I am ready to share the videos so this can be resolved properly. Never recommend them!!! Im still waiting for a technician to call us 22 hours later. I called the office today and was told I was on the list for today. We'll it's near 7pm I called back and got the same after hours call person I talked to last night with still no idea why no one has reached out or have been to our home. And the high fee for the emergency call is ridiculous as is it really still able to be called an emergency 22 hours later? Used them twice this year, call center service did not get back to me at a reasonable time. I had to follow up both times and then both time it was hours of waiting for the call to let me know a tech would even come out. Just terrible tech didn't explain anything. Was in his phone. I used to recommend Bill Frusco until he took me for a $1,500 ride to replace 1.5 feet of Pex pipe. Tried to discuss the price with him and figure out why it was costing so much. He refused to budge and was a bit rude. That being said the technician that was out was super friendly and helpful for the 45 minutes of work it took him to do the job. If you want the nitty gritty I had installed shelves into the wall and poked a hole into the supply line that was slowly leaking (it was installed too close to the drywall!) - this was discovered by myself yesterday after the first technician left unable to find the actual source of the leak. When the shelves were still up Bill's technician wanted to cut out the rest of the wall and thought it might be the PVC drain pipe or the Pex line. They quoted me at $2,000 to take everything out. find the leak and replace it. I thought that was an insane arbitrary number without knowing what was causing it. As soon as I took the shelves down I knew what I had done. I cut the dry wall out, turned the water off and found the 2 tiny holes I had made and sealed them for a temp repair to be able to still use toilets. I called them back and asked them to come back out to replace the bit of line. Bill's technician came out 2 days later and was here for 45 minutes. Ran into an issue with the AC today as we are having an unusual warm up today. Unit did not come on and reached out to the Bill Frusco Team & Company and they were able to jump on it later in the afternoon. Much appreciate the attentiveness an efficiency. I had the pleasure of meeting and having our unit serviced by Luis. He was top-notched and really knows his way around an HVAC unit. He diagnosed the issue in short order and had the unit back up and running within 20 or so minutes of starting. Explained the issue and educated me about my unit. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. We had them come out to do a simple repair on our furnace. The work, as mentioned numerous times, was planned to be covered by our home warranty provider. All they had to do was have a simple five minute conversation with our home warranty provider. On the day of the scheduled repair, the owner himself refused to do this very basic and simple task. They immediately canceled the job and left. The owner's attitude was completely unprofessional. Had electric water heater replaced back in Oct-2024. 1. The final cost is much different than the original quoted price. Because the new water heater warranty will be not cover without a replacement of a new expansion tank. Which they never mentioned about it until they showed up. Note: Expansion thank is a require plumbing code for my county. Is it Ironic? 2. The workmanship is very questionable - I specifically asked to replace two new shut off vaults with the new heater. They mentioned it would be extra charge and gave me a quote. (I found that strange why a 50 years' experience plumber does not believe in new vaults are needed with a new water heater.???). We agreed with the quote. However, when they showed up, the technician told me the quote did not include the extra vaults. If I needed them, the part and labor for two vaults is around another $200. I spoked to office while this whole nightmare was happening. Someone claimed he was the manager/ owner, denied the agreed quote was included the vaults, and even claimed the quoting conversation was recorded. When I asked to send me the recording, it never happened. My new bill was $1650 (One water heater and expansion tank), And this company did not leave me any manual or instruction how to use the unit. Without much option, I had to pay for the expansion tanks to have warranty for my water heater. But I refused to pay extra for the vaults and live with the old vaults for now. I will hire another plumber to have the vaults put on. I assume it will be more expensive because, it will be a new job. But I rather do that instead dealing with Bill Frusco again. Additional note: If you need to call the office for question or clarification, expect being pass on from one person to another person, unfriendly tone, agitation, falsely accusing. Once again! I should have read the other 1to 2 stars reviews before wasting my time with this rip off of a company. I feel bad for the people that actually hire this company! Needed an HVAC check up and a hose bib replacement. Was told that Freon needed to be added to the air conditioner (BUT that to check for a leak would be VERY expensive and that it probably wasn't a leak!). Freon and a new battery would be $800. Then I was quoted $650 for a HOSE BIB replacement! It cost me $150 to have it installed NEW! This place is a total rip off. Hope people read these reviews. I never used Bill Frusco for actual services, but I had a very unpleasant experience with getting an estimate and placing a deposit. After receiving only one estimate, I hastily put down a deposit by phone with the office. The next day, I realized that I should have gotten more estimates before making my decision. When I called the office to cancel my deposit, I was told the air conditioning unit was already ordered and they would have to check with the owner regarding the cancellation. I called another company regarding an estimate and mentioned my concern about getting my deposit back. They advised me that I had three days to cancel my deposit under Pennsylvania law. Armed with this new information, I called Bill Frusco's office the next day and-questioned them on why they had to check with the owner when I had 3 days to cancel. Again, the second person at the office said she'd have to speak to Bill, the owner. Bill did call me back and REPRIMANDED me in a very agitated way of falsely accusing his office of misleading me and giving them a hard time. He informed me that the first person I spoke with was " just a secretary" which is why she didn't inform me about the 3 day cancellation policy and said she would have to speak to the owner. His tone was so aggressive and startling that at one point I had to tell him to " take a deep breath" and then the conversation ended with him hanging up in my ear. While I cannot review the actual installation services, I strongly advise others to avoid speaking to the owner , Bill Frusco . His unprofessional behavior made the experience highly stressful and unpleasant. The company I finally used for installation services were so professional and courteous and I was so highly pleased from beginning to end. read more

The sewer line failed. They showed up on time, dug by hand, and put almost everything back where it had been. They did concrete work which required leaving things elsewhere while it cures. They did an excellent and careful job, communicated as things were progressing and didn't stop until everything was perfect. read more

My husband picked this company for a new water heater(1/18/21). Well just over a month later on 3/3/21 we've had a small gas leak. Well this company charged me $69 to come out and fix their mistake. Well luckily I could smell gas. I was informed that it's a usual $125.. WOW..how nice of them.NOW,I've had a small leak from one of the water pipes that's apparently been leaking slowly on top of my brand new water heater.. I had a leak in the hose from the dishwasher to my disposal. I was quoted $750 to replace it. I can by a new high quality dishwasher and have it installed for $740.00!!!!. I receive a quote for 2 other small plumbing jobs that were also OUTRAGEOUS. I paid $50 for the visit. Run far away unless you have money you want to give away to this company. I was referred to this company by a family member a couple of years ago. Reached out to the company for an estimate. It took a bit to be contacted and for the estimate to be completed. Decided to go with this company to get my plumbing stack pipe replaced. The rep also looked at my kitchen faucet. I received the non itemized estimate, paid the deposit then maybe a week or so later was contacted and told when the work would be done. The total invoice was paid in full before the appointment. Two of their techs came, began working on the pipe but needed to leave due to another customer emergency. They came back maybe a couple of hours later and finished the work on the pipe. The other part of the estimate was for the kitchen faucet (customer provided). I didn't realize that I didn't have the faucet so the work could not be completed that day. The main tech added ANOTHER quote to the original invoice which included prices for a faucet provided by the company and the amount for the faucet provided by me. This quote attached to the invoice clearly says PENDING. I also confirmed that the company was aware that the work on the faucet was NOT completed even though the total invoice was already paid a couple of weeks later via phone. I admit, I forgot about the faucet. Had other things going on. I went to replace the faucet this year and remembered I already paid the company to replace it. I contacted the company via email requesting the money back for the faucet since that work was never completed. I figured that the company would've had some sort of documentation system because who doesn't these days? Apparently not this company. First email was sent 9/4/23. Realized I received no response so I followed up 9/11/23 then received a call in the afternoon from the owner basically saying he couldn't help me. He said something about "looking at the books" and I said I'd look to see if I received anything from after the work was completed. I looked, didn't find anything but remembered that this company does everything electronically. I went through my text messages and sent texts to two different people who I talked about the work with, including the person who recommended me. in the text messages, I mentioned that the work went fine BUT the faucet wasn't replaced because I didn't have one. One of the text messages also mentions the name of the office assistant who called me to confirm they were aware that the work wasn't completed but was paid for. I also resent the invoice that the company emailed to me with the PENDING faucet information on it On 9/11/23. I asked the company to reply via email ( since it's clear they don't have an internal documentation system) so that I at least had that for my records and so that there would be no miscommunications that may happen via phone. Yes, I forgot about the faucet but I did confirm with the company a few weeks after the work was completed and figured if they knew the work was paid for but not completed then, they would still know now. I would've COMPLETELY understood if they said "hey I looked at what you sent and unfortunately, we don't have any documentation of that. This was awhile ago and we don't keep notes that long." Again, I waited a long time to even request the money back and that's completely my fault. I would've accepted that as a loss and moved on. TIP: Reply to customer emails in a timely manner. This review WOULD NOT have been written had I received a response to my last email from 9/11/23. A simple ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of the email and a response (either way) about the refund request would have been acceptable to me. Consumer beware, I hired Bill Frusco to tune up and repair my heater for no pilot light. The tune up price was within reason however, he charged $350 dollars to replace a $10 dollar thermocouple. I had to call him back after the problem was not fixed. I was then quoted a price of $699 dollars to replace the gas valve. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you need heater service. To correct a typo in my original review: Within the year warranty, two other plumbers saw that the connection between the pipe and the hot water heater was prematurely *corroding* due to a failed solder job and suggested I contact the installer to fix it. To Frusco: I hate to point this out, but if you in fact want to resolve this issue, you would contact me, apologize, and compensate me for the fix rather than post a form response. I'm confident you know that, but it's easier to post a professional sounding form response. My posting this even feels foolish given that you have proven many times over that your company isn't concerned about fixing this work or apparently your public reputation more broadly. The 3 man crew arrived at my home a little after 9 a.m. for a complete HVAC installation. They worked from the time they arrived until the install was complete. The crew was of course courteous, professional & neat. I observed how they were also courteous & respectful with one another. The communicated & worked well with each other. DO NOT USE FRUSCO PLUMBING. I had what appeared to be a routine leak coming from where a pipe connected to my water meter. The leak had been a steady flow and was filling up a bucket every hour. I knew Frusco plumbing from ads in the Philadelphia area, so I decided to give them a call. Once someone came out, they couldn't have been more unprofessional. I took them to the leak in my basement and they opted to not even attempt to shut off the water from the inside, nor even attempt to examine the leak and its source. Instead, he proceeds to go outside and chip off my metal water cap on the sidewalk (which was unnecessary as it can be unscrewed). Once the water cap was off, he put on a poor performance acting as if he couldn't turn off the valve without force (I have had plumbers come out and turn off this before). When he decided that he could not turn off the water, he wrote me up a bill estimated at $1,995 which included breaking up my concrete (to turn off my water) and replacing the valve as well as the water meter in the house. He left me with the estimate and said I should act fast on a decision as my house was still leaking. This is absolutely unprofessional behavior as he was clearly trying to take advantage and make a profit off of a young homeowner by quoting for an absolutely unnecessary job. Fast forward a few hours later, I had a second plumber come out that simply tightened the connection between the pipe and water meter. It took him less than a minute to resolve and he only charged me $90 for the fix. MORAL of the story: Do NOT use Frusco Plumbing and ALWAYS be sure to get a second opinion/estimate. read more

I'm very happy I walked to the door of my home and told them to keep going (((until they heard the door close behind them))). The technicians called someone at the office for a quote to give me (the Customer) after explaining what had to be replaced (to the person over the phone). The individual on the phone started asking the technicians questions and told them to "also" replace other things (which later I found out I did not need). The technician looked confused, but quoted the price anyways. Welp, I got another diagnosis from AIRMASTER HVAC and what the technician (from Bill Frusco) explained had to be repaired was correct. Due to the MONEY HUNGRY person over the phone, they got NOTHING!! AIRMASTER came out quickly and repaired the issue less than an hour. I dealt with B Frusco in the past and had no complaints, at that time. They had fast response time and reasonable rates. Well, all that changed as of yesterday. I needed a toilet tank to bowl gasket replaced. Actually not a big job, you just need the right tools. Anyway, after waiting about 5 hours , some young employee calls me back stating he will swing by to take a look at it. Before he looks at it he is quoting me $390 for a gasket replacement (with NO guarantee) and over $500 for a new toilet. I said "Are you kidding me, $390 to replace a gasket?" He tells me, "I don't make the prices, the boss does". He says it involves draining the tank too, which I guess he didn't even notice, I already did ! So, no more B Frusco for me. I told the employee good by, and I say the same to the company. I was very disappointed. I thought I found a good plumbing company. I was wrong ! The search continues. DO NOT USE B Frusco Plumbing. We called Bill Frusco because our kitchen sink kept clogging. We'd run the waste disposal and it would go down, then shoot back up like a geyser and fill up again. I tried to snake it myself with a small 15ft snake I have but couldn't clear it. So I figured the clog was deep in there. I decided to call a pro. I was afraid this would cost hundreds of dollars since you hear stories of people getting exorbitant fees when getting plumbing work done. The technician they sent, Matt Foy, had it done in a jiffy for a very a meager $99! He (and his helper who I believe was named Frank) showed me where the problem was, no way I was getting to that myself, and how he had to go through a "clean out" pipe in the basement to fix it. While I was at it I had him look at my 10 year old water heater. We just bought our home 6 months ago and although it still worked, the water wasn't staying hot as long as it used to, so we figured it would break sooner than later. Matt told us about a water heater special they were having and we went ahead and just replaced it while he was here. It took him all of 40 minutes to install that thing! We put it on the card and for $1500 we now have peace of mind for the next decade. Thanks so much, Matt! I will definitely recommend this business to all my friends. I can't tell whether I was over charged or what but they made up for it. They also gave me some other estimates for other work in my home. Since l had used the company before did not get a second estimate . My bad but they did put booties on to save my hardwood floors and helped me out with a kitchen issue. I am a disabled senior on social security and I called for an estimate and the men came out and said I need my garbage disposal replaced. The price would be 800.00, then the price dropped to 700.00. They found a small crack in a pipe in the basement and that was 300.00 to fix that. The day they were here my thermostat worked after they left it no longer worked. The men returned and replaced the batteries which I supplied and after calling the office told me that my charge for putting the batteries in would be 70.00. Since I had already paid an enormous fee to come out the day before I thought it was not appropriate to charge to come out and return things to the way they were before they arrived. read more

I initially called because I thought I had a problem with my sump pump. The technician that came told me the sump pump was fine but my main drain line had a clog. I told him I had insurance through American Water Resources that would fix the drain free. Since water was flooding my basement I agreed to pay him what he asked, $250 if he could fix the problem right away. He said he could. Several moments later he told me he was unable to locate the curb trap. I told him not to worry about it, I would get the American Water Resource people to come out. He continued working anyway trying to get to the clog from another drain opening and it did not work. Then, he tried to convince me to try the camera service for an additional $350. I declined and he told me I still had to pay the $250 because he tried. So, I was charged $250 and still left with a clogged pipe and flooding basement. The next morning a plumber was sent out by American Water Resources, the curb trap was located and the clog was removed in less than 10 mins. read more

Hello world and Pennsylvania, I would like to update everyone to an educational but friendly phone call from Mr. Bill Frusco himself. I was wrong. A camera head is made extremely sensitive and not as strong as a Jetter head. The camera head has a lot of expensive imaging pieces inside of it. So, of course it would make sense not to ram a camera head in a drain. The Jetter head is just a solid piece of metal with holes so you can easily ram that in a drain. Also again I was able to sell the house and made friends on my old street and no one has said that the new owner has complained about anything. She loves the house. Bill Frusco stands solid behind his work and I see why. He explained everything in a even tone and listened to my concerns. Awesome person. My parents experienced an issue with their AC last week . Called this company who sent out a guy who identified no Freon. He replaced the Freon so their air conditioner worked through the rest of week and heat predictions. Yesterday they returned and replaced the heater and AC unit. The guys were so professional, friendly, and very courteous. They even cleaned up which was not expected but very appreciated. Their work is impeccable. Price was very reasonable. I purchased my second home in 2016 and was referred to Bill Frusco by my realtor. Thank goodness because the water heater that came with my house was 20 years old. His team came in (with booties), removed my old water heater and seamlessly installed a brand new 50 gallon Bradford & White heater. Needless to say it's been performing amazingly well. Most recently I scheduled Bills team to come and service my Carrier HVAC unit. Again, they entered my home with booties,explained and walked me through all that needed to be done.
