They are terrible with outside work. They do not clean up. Sinkhole within 24 hours, they filled the hole w/asphalt. When asked why they didn't backfill the hole with the dirt that was removed the worker said talk to my boss. Called the office, secretary was hesitant when I explained the issue. So I called this company to come out to remove a dish rag from my toilet drain. The young man was very nice but didn't explain the process. He used the auger for about 15 minutes and then he told me that I was being charged 100.00 just for that. Then he tells me that because he didn't get it that I would have to pay 400.00 to take my toilet off so he can try it that way! If he had told me in the beginning that he was going to charge me 100.00 to snake my toilet I would have used my own auger. I had a water heater break leading into a holiday weekend, expecting a house full of guests. I called Frusco at 4:00 on a Thursday and had a fully operational replacement by 10 am Friday. Andrew, my technician, was courteous, extremely clean, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything, explained how to operate it, explained what I needed and also pointed out what I didn't need. This company is terrible! Simple as that. They were hired by the management company in charge of the house I'm renting. Our radiators needed new piping. When we moved into this place, it had been vacant for a year and a half. Due to the negligence of the owner of this house, the pipes had not been weatherized and therefor were busted. Bill Frusco sent several different "plumbers" to our house and even came over himself one time over the course of nearly three weeks. They ripped out several walls, made a huge mess, and even left holes in our walls to the outside world. Most of the workers he sent seemed incompetent, were rude, would not properly communicate with us, and some of them even made sexually suggestive comments towards both me and my roommate. We do have our heat fixed after the whirlwind that came through our house(aka: Bill Frusco.) However, we still have holes in our walls, some of which lead outside. I supposed that is the responsibility of our land lord, but they could have at least attempted to plug them with something. I will never ever send these guys to even my worst enemies. I suggest that you find another plummer and never ever call the incompetent jerks at Bill Frusco. Btw, there may be some good reviews on here, but I highly suspect they are from "friends" of Bill Frusco. Don't trust them. Plumbing emergency - Don't even bother! I just used this company in the past few months, which is the reason why they were my first choice for my emergency. This time, they said they we coming, stayed home and no one came. So, last evening, the shut off valve from the hose bib on my patio began spraying water everywhere in the basement, when I attempted to turn it off (it needs to be replaced). To stop the water from wetting the entire basement, I shut the main valve off for the night. We had no water in the house. Meanwhile, the pipe is still heavily leaking and filling up buckets that need to be watched. The next morning, I called them at 7:39am and spoke with a person that said "we will let you know when a tech is available today." They then called me back at 10:39am with a "courtesy call" to say that they will call me back as soon as someone is on their way. So, all day long, no one called or came out. Then at 4:02pm - I received a text message from them saying "This is Bill Frusco Plumbing we just want to confirm that we can have a technician out to you tomorrow. We will contact you when a technician is available and on the way. Please reply Confirm or Reschedule." I texted "confirmed." So again - all day and now night with no running water in my house. Today at 11:58am, I got a call from someone saying "I am calling because no one can come out today. We have other bigger emergencies, so we cant't send anybody today." Okay, so let me get this straight, I called you yesterday morning with an emergency, but now my emergency is no longer an emergency because other bigger jobs have come in and take precedent? His tech came and said i had a major leak in my HVAC system. He said all the refrigerant is going in and blowing right back out, and we needed a whole new system installed for $4200. My system was installed in 2016 first of all, second, another HVAC contractor was called; he did a sniffer test and found out I had a leaky valve stem (rubber gasket was missing inside of stem). So $460 later I had a brand new valve stem, I had a sealer/UV dye put in incase i get a leak in the future, 13 lbs of 410a, and a perfectly working HVAC system. read more

Total hack. Gave him a deposit on a job I was running without a set date when we were going to start. He called me Thursday demanding he wanted to start Monday. I tried to explain to him that we wouldn't be ready for him Monday. We were going to have sheet rockers and flooring guys in all week and besides there being just too many pEople in a small space, I didn't want pipes sticking up out of the floor that one of the other people could trip over. Perfectly reasonable as far as I'm concerned. He flew of the handle and said "sounds too complicated. Find someone else." This of course was after he already had my deposit. I live on roosevelt blvd and on july 25th while i was at work the crew dug up an electric line and severed it creating a power outage on my block because they did not care to "call before they dug" any utilities. When i returned home later that day my power was still out and all of the fish in my 90 gallon reef tank along with a majority of my corals were dead. About 10 years and $4000 investment gone. Years ago i had just finished my baaenent when i had a clog in my kitchen stack. I called Frusco and somebody came out, tried to snake it with a barely running snake. They told me i had a broken pipe, $6000 to dig up my whooe basement. I got 2nd opinion ( which people dont usually do and he knows that), James michael fay came out unclogged my oioe abd said NO LEAK. Since then i noticed he dug up approx. 20 homes just in my neighborhood alone. Thars how he initially made his money with tgat scam. I called and asked him about it. He got very defensive and cursed me out. Real professional, professional scumbag. They were working on a neighbor's drain line about half a year ago. The pipes were frozen and clogged over with cooking oil. Due to this, they had to dig into the ground where the pipes lead. To do this, they had to dig into the asphalt underneath where the pipes ran. It took them a relatively long time to do this. After fixing the pipes, they had to fill the whole back in. They did a very bad job with this. After they filled it in, the spot sunk three weeks later with many dips at other parts. After coming in to fix this a few weeks later, it was still just as bad and they did not come back again to try and fix it. Now, there are many ditches and dips along the previously dug up spot. Recently, there has been a lawsuit filled against the neighbor's due to someone tripping over one the ditches and breaking their ankle. read more

If I can save any reader from wasting their time, money, and possible hassles with Bill Frusco and company I would feel vindicated. I'll save you the long read in list format: - Bill Frusco contacted in early March to unclog backed-up pipe in duplex. - Initial work performed using snake and charged for it. Work never properly completed. Mentioned problem with outside main. Required jetting and charged separately as unrelated work. - Jetting performed but did not resolve issue. Mentioned major excavation work needed to replace main costing over $3000. Again, assessed as unrelated job. Another additional cost. - Jetting caused waste refuse to spew out of toilets and sinks in building. Major mess created. Building never inspected to see if pipes draining properly after work performed. - Did not proceed with excavation. Needed 2nd opinion. - New plumber had to redo same job not handled properly by Bill Frusco. More costs. - New plumber more professional, detailed and upfront with costs and work, meticulous and thorough in checking pipes and building, very clean, etc. Discovered no issue with main. Excavation not needed. Only unclogging of pipes never done properly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING ZOOM DRAIN Overall company... - is unprofessional in demeanor - over charges for unresolved issues and creates separate work - does not make proper assessments - is not thorough in completing work - is not upfront with explaining work, costs, warranties, terms and conditions, etc. - does not clean up mess they create I could continue but completely not worth the time or effort. I had to have my pipe replaced at the curb. It was the pipe that allows waste to be drained. They came out at the time that they said they would and were finished the job within a reasonable time. They made sure to to explain the process of the entire job. They cleaned up the area that they were working around. The water department told me that the job would cost approx. $5,000.00, they charged me $1,800.00 . I really don't have any complaints. read more

They appeared to be a reputable outfit, but it turns out it's just their advertising. They state they have the latest technology for drain cleaning, but they clearly do not. The website states $149 for this service, but it starts at $199. A young mechanic showed up and gave a veiled attempt to clear the line before quoting thousands to dig up the yard and replace the curb trap. The next day, a different outfit arrived and fully cleared the drain. I called Frusco Plumbing back asked for their thoughts about this and the service manager's answer was, "They got lucky". Caught off guard, that conversation ended quickly. read more

As stated in my previous reviews, Bill Frusco does a great job on small jobs - water heater replacement, drain clearing, etc., but I cannot recommend them for large jobs, especially ones that require excavation. My lateral pipe (that goes from the house to the street) broke and sewage was backing up into my house. They came out an told me it needed dug up (which was thousands and thousands of dollars), I probably paid too much according to a neighbor who had a similar job. The problem is that the property rises to the front door and there are stairs in front, so 12 feet of hill had to be dug through just to get to street level, then dig down to the pipe. About 4 guys showed up to the do the job and were there for 14 hours. They dug that deep trench, and used no shoring along the sides, which seemed very unsafe - and not to code according to my construction worker neighbor. The guys were walking through the ditch and they could have been buried at any time. After finishing and filling in the dirt, they left a pile about 3 feet high above the trench, which they said would sink and level out. They then brought out a dump truck to take away excess earth and this was the problem - what comes out, must go back in!!! They said it would take about 6 weeks for the earth to settle and it did. After 2 months, we replanted grass and rebuilt our brick retaining wall. A few months later, the entire ditch sunk 3 feet and ruined our yard and retaining wall. They said they can always bring more dirt, so we called, and they said they only have rocky fill and they don't recommend putting that where grass will be planted. So, we had to buy 4 tons of top soil from a landscaping company, replant the grass, and rebuid the wall. It has been a year, and it looks like the yard is sinking again. What a disaster!! read more

First, I reached their call center when I called after business hours, and they returned my call quite promptly even though there was no emergency. They confirmed my appointment and address before arriving. The repair men were courteous and honest - not trying to sell me anything I didn't need. They also wore covers over their shoes. My kitchen sink broke on Saturday night and I called them on Monday, the day before the Fourth of July as I had to have my sink fixed before the Holiday. (They came out in December to fix my kitchen sink and the pipe broke again). The two workers who came out were very helpful and thoroughly reviewed the situation. Instead of just replacing the pipe they looked at the source of my problem first and went to the basement which no one ever did before. They replaced the pipe, got to the route of the problem and I didn't have to pay anything as it was covered under warranty. read more

First rate customer service! I hired Frusco to replace my bathtub. From Billy to Dana and Katie and Andrew and Nick, everyone was polite, respectful, professional and and courteous. My previous tub was bone color and they brought a white replacement tub. When I brought the issue to Andrew's attention, he immediately got on the phone and called suppliers until he found a bone tub replacement! Once the plumbing work was finished and the tub was installed, the tile guy came in to replace four of 17 rows of speckled tile. Much to my surprise, they were not able to match the old tile so we settled on a solid tile. When completed, I did not like how it looked (the workmanship was excellent, it just looked like two different tub surrounds). When Andrew and Nick came back for final touches, I expressed my dissatisfaction and Andrew immediately got on the phone with Bill to discuss. Within minutes Bill agreed to a reduction in price so that I could hire someone to complete the tile surround. I am so impressed with the level of customer service! While I think their prices might be a little higher than some competitors, the old adage that you get what you pay for is certainly true. I've been a customer of Frusco Plumbing for ten years and I've seen their repair service deteriorate. While the women in the office are most gracious, their technicians seem rudimentary in skill level and you hardly ever see the same technician twice. Thank the Lord I woke up during the early morning to detect the smell of gas leaking from a boiler repair performed the previous day. Frusco Plumbing could benefit from quality assurance audits to measure performance and quality of work in order to maintain standards of integrity. You have to do better, lives are priceless, I could care less about a lawsuit. read more

This company came out to my property to snake my drain and never once assessed the fact that there was sewage backing up just TEN FEET away in the same yard. I had another plumber come out and ask why they snaked the drain in the first place without letting me know what the BIGGER issue was. If i can help even 1 family make sure they do not use this company it will be worth it. We called them because we had water leaking form the AC Unit. They sent out 5 different workers all of them obviously incompetent in their job. 1 made us change part of our AC unit that wasn't even broken. They never found the leak, I had to find it myself. Even after i found the issue which they swore was a broken water heater!! come on now umm the leak stops as soon as the AC is turned off and you want to give me 3 estimates on replacing the water heater...No no no.... finally after I found the issue and called them back the worker told me how they absolutely had to replace everything, how this model was no longer working and blah blah blah... i took the estimate and called 2 different people to show them what i found not what they said... they both told use the condensation catching tray needed to be replaced which is what we thought from the beginning and kept saying. we hired one of those men they fixed that piece and all has been good for a month now. This company lies and at the very least has not clue how to do their job. They basically stole $250 from us not including all the time wasted and having to go without AC during one of the heat waves. read more

Horrible experience with this company. I used them a few times over the years and they did the work I asked them to do without any problems. The last time I called them, I needed to have my furnace serviced. I called to make an appointment and was given a date and a window of time when their techs would show up (in this case, between 1pm and 5pm). They said I would get a phone call from one of the techs when they were on the way, just to give me the heads-up. I left my job early to go home and wait for them. 5pm rolls around and they still haven't shown up, and I didn't get a phone call, either. I called their office and got their answering service and was told the office was closed for the day. I left a message asking for a return call. The next morning I get a call from someone at Frusco and asked him what happened; I told him I was scheduled for work to be done the day before. No one showed up and no one called. He placed me on hold and then came back on the line and said they do have a work order for me, but he could not tell me why no one showed up or called. He said "I don't know what to tell you." So I basically said WTF? (in a polite way) and told him I took a half-day off my job to go home and wait, and that's the answer I get? So what does this kid do? He hangs up on me! It wasn't an accident, either. He never called back, nor did I hear anything else from anyone at Frusco. It's like they don't care. A very poor way to run a business. I was a good customer to them and was nothing but polite every time, and they have the nerve to hang up the phone on me. Needless to say, I will NOT be using Bill Frusco Plumbing again. I had used Bill Frusco Plumbing on two prior occasions- once to replace my hot water heater, and another time to replace most of the sewer pipe in my basement that leads out to the street. Didn't have a problem with either of those jobs. I had scheduled them to come to my house today for their $125 furnace cleaning special. I left my job early to come home to wait for them (they said they would be here between 3 and 4pm). At 3:20 I get a call from someone at Frusco, and he tells me they can't come today; they want to come tomorrow. I told him I left my job early so they could come today; they even called me yesterday afternoon to confirm today's appointment. So when I start saying this to the guy on the phone, he hangs up on me! No "sorry" or anything like that- jerk just hung up the phone on me! Totally rude and unprofessional and needless to say, I will NOT use Bill Frusco Plumbing again. That's a horrible way to run a business and treat a repeat customer.
