The food is okay, but every single time I've ordered from here, it's almost a guarantee my order is going to come out wrong. At this point, I get home expecting it to be wrong. Which I was right about again today when I stopped by there on the way home from work. Oh Seguin, you weird little town. You make me rediscover my love for things like Dairy Queen, Chili's queso, and Bill Miller BBQ. I've eaten at this location a few times and it's food is just like any other, but what really makes it stand out is the service. Let's be honest, these San Antonio Bill Miller's are full of less than well-equipped customer service types, so I'm always pleasantly surprised by the small town friendliness of the Seguin location. Most recently, I stopped off to buy my brother a gift card for his birthday (he lives in Seguin) and it took less than a couple minutes, plus the girl at the register complimented me and said, "Well, that is such a nice gift. You have lucky friends." Three stars for compliments! Haha just kidding. Three stars for friendly service and standard barbecue at a fair price. I can see why this place hasn't gotten the greatest reviews. I went in at 6:15 pm and it had a line to order and I should have gotten a clue when a customer said she hope that she would get her food before dark. I decide to order any way. From time of order to getting the food was 52 minutes. So from time in the door to foow was 1 hour, not acceptable. The food was also not the greatest. The casings on the sausage links was tough and almost not chewable. The sausage meat was very good. The brisket was burnt and chewy with a lot of fat. Everything on the menu is definitely worth eating. The smoked Brisket to the smoked sausage you won't be dissapointed. We love their sausage and egg breakfast tacos! We tried their chorizo and egg tacos Sunday morning, but, while not terrible, we probably will not be ordering them again. Breakfast service is always fast. My only negative comment would be that the cashiers should be more attentive. She was rather forgetful and seemed to be having some difficulties taking orders. I give this place 5 stars for the value alone. Their meats are excellent, the chicken sandwich with bbq sauce and pickle is great. They also have wonderful breakfast items which include great tasting bean tacos and sausages. The superstar on the menu though is the pies they serve here, the meringues are only around $5 for a whole pie????!!! And they taste marvelous. But their pecan pies will spin you right round baby right round, like a record baby right round, round round. Their pecan pies taste homemade and fresh, and for less than $10 you can't beat them for the abundance of flavor. The sausage was decent, turkey was okay, but neither were that remarkable. The bread is not made here, or doesn't taste like it. Yep, molded and green. When I spoke to a manager, I was told that he was not responsible because all items come from the commissary. As a manager, where is your due diligence? Stopped in after a trip at Garner State Park heading to Houston. Yeah, no. Ordered a beef poor boy. 50% was fat and what meat there was was very little. The portion was small but what do you expect for $4.95? The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because my buddy said the biscuits and gravy were good. Kinda hard to screw that up. Ok I'm giving one more star because upon leaving the little girl working the counter was very sweet and nice. At least the customer service is decent. read more

Driving from San Antonio back to Houston and was hungry so we stop here and eat . It is counter service. So you order what you want and they call out the number and bring it to you . The wife order scrambled eggs and sausage for my 2 young boys . She order the bill miller special and I had the one that has your choice of 3 meats . I had chicken, pork rib and brisket. Comes with sides , cream corn , potato salad and Spanish rice . The ribs are dry with a few moist spot depending if it had fat where you bit it . The chicken is a leg quarter so it is somewhat moist. And the brisket is dry too except for the fatty part . I think the sides are the best part of the meal . They have a self serve bar for like pickles, onions , And bread and few other things . I think since we arrived around 10:45 in the morning on a Sunday that the bbq would be fresh , those that we had that day at Bill Miller taste like they was heated up from old bbq the day before . I hate leaving bad reviews, but either lower the prices or increase the quality of the food. Like really. We spent about $35 for 3 people, and needless to say we only ate maybe half of our food & picked up hotdogs at the gas station next door. The hash browns were salty, and the beans tasted like they just pulled them out of a can & onto the plate. The food overall was just bland, no seasoning or flavor. The brisket had a lot of fat & the links were chewy (as if they weren't cooked long enough). Probably the best fast food BBQ in the Great State of Texas. There are far better places for BBQ all across Texas but if you are on the go you cannot beat Bill's. My favorite thing to do is grab some breakfast right before I hit the road when I am leaving San Antonio. They have great breakfast tacos as their sweet tea is so good I have even began to drink it with my breakfast meal. Some of my favorite BBQ items are their ham, sausage and their turkey. I grew up with Bill's in San Antonio and I accept what Bill's is.....Fast Food Commissary BarBQ & Basic Fried Chicken. The price is right and I am a customer. Now the bad news: Breakfast. Good plan....bring in the dough roller and make some fresh tortillas. Bad plan....market breakfast tacos at $2.49 each. Dumb. I can break down the concept into 10 factors...and not one of them makes any sense. Now...if you could make a full 8" Tortilla and evenly distribute the ingredients from one end to the other....I might give you half a point for ease of eating in the car.....ie.....I get two tacos in one taco and have less juggling to do in the car. But the last taco I got there had a tortilla shaped like my liver....6" on one end, 3" on the other end....with one glob of egg on one end....and once glob of gross mashed potato on the other end...it was disgusting...I mean horrible....and this is supposed to be a $2.49 taco? If you can't execute it....you are only executing your name. Within one city block of this location in little bitty New Braunfels I can buy better and cheaper breakfast tacos at 7 different places. Holy crap. What a mistake this was. Was in town and wanted some BBQ so I looked on yelp and found this place. It seemed that the good reviews kind of out weighed the bad ones. I should have went with my first instinct and stayed away. I didn't. I called in an order to go. Easy enough. Friendly people. I wanted to try a little of everything so I got 1 lb. ribs. 1 sausage link. 3 pieces chicken. Beans and potato salad. Picked it up. Went and grabbed my trailer (yes. I am a truck driver) and headed north. Got down the road a few miles and pulled over to eat. Everything was still good and hot. Good sign. I pulled out a paper plate and dug in. 1 sausage link. 1 piece of chicken. 2 ribs. A few beans and some potato salad. Excited to try a new menu. Took a bite if a rib. Not good. Tasted like it started out as old meat. Maybe freezer burned. Yuck!!! Ok tried the sausage. The casing was so tough I couldn't bite thru it. Ended up stripping the casing to get a bite. Tasted like bologna with more fat added. Yuck again!!! Took a bight of chicken. Cooked well. Hot and juicy. Not really any flavor. Disappointed!!! Next. The beans and potato salad. Beans didn't have much flavor and were way too thick in consistency. Potato salad was very bland. Overall very bad. What I thought would be 2 or 3 meals ended up being a bag of garbage. When I got to new braunfels I stopped at the loves and dumped it all in the trash and went in and got a hot dog. Now my frig is empty and my wallet is $30.00 lighter. Definitely would not recommend to ANYONE nor will I ever go back. Next time I will try a different BBQ in Sequin. read more

Not everyone likes their food swimming in sauce, maybe the person taking the order should ask. That was not creamed corn and the green beans were in some strange sauce, but the potato salad was good. I go to Bill Millers for two things, the fried chicken and the pecan pies. EWe alway normally take a full pie home with us after eating. The bar b q is also good and we change from time to time. Parking on the lot. You order at the counter and pick your food up at the counter. look for the specials listed on the board to the left of the ordering liens. Many include a drink.
