He's repairing and reworking my 84 RX7s custom exahust system that CJs Custom Exhaust and Fab originally did and messed up. Also reworking some of Jerry's Automotive and Exhaust work too! He is coming in on a Sunday to do work on my car. He's is very friendly and willing to work with his customers. Only day he probably will not do work is Saturday, becuase he's racing at Evergreen. $75 an hour he charges, which is cheap these days. I was paying this back 15 years ago for labor. The staff at BOR were very receptive and responsive to my needs and arranged to replace my converters. Unfortunately, after all their hard work my check engine light came back. It turns out that when BOR discussed my repair options I opted for the cheap route and asked them to buy aftermarket converters. When I came back they found an exhaust leak and fixed that, and the light came back a second time I relented and asked them to get OEM converters. The OEM converters fixed the problem and my pickup is running great again! I have nothing but praise for how BOR worked with me, accommodated all my choices, and bent over backwards to help me get my truck working.

I gave them every benefit of the doubt. What I got in return was a $10,000 engine replacement estimate and a lazy guess. After eight full days of silence, they finally looked at the truck and performed a basic compression test. They found low readings on two cylinders and immediately recommended a full engine swap. No leak-down test. No spark plug inspection. No timing verification. Just a vague shrug and a five-figure solution. Here's the kicker: * They performed the wrong test first * Then charged again to do the right one * That's double billing for diagnostic failure A leak-down test is the industry standard when compression is low--it tells you why it's low. They didn't perform one until I hounded them. That's not oversight. That's negligence. When I finally arranged a tow to get it out of there on October 22, they refused to release the vehicle until I paid. Fair enough--but their phones were "offline for two days," yet their voicemail worked. Convenient. Then they charged me a 3% fee for using a Visa card. That's not standard. That's gouging. The technician who texted me couldn't write a coherent sentence. His diagnosis read like a fifth-grade book report. I wouldn't trust this shop to change a bicycle tire, let alone diagnose a complex engine issue. David immediately was down to help us, and check out the tire. We walked to the car and he inspected the tire. We found out there was a screw! He then went to get an air tank so he could fill it up so we could be well enough to go buy a tire (he didn't have our kind of tires). He recommends places to go, and told us the info we needed to tell the tire shop. We asked how much we owed him for his time, and he said there was no charge at all. He was happy to help neighbors! How sweet is that? *happy cries* We asked again, but he insisted that there would be no charge! All of this took at least 30 minutes of his time, and it truly helped us in a moment where we felt so lost and overwhelmed by the situation. We contacted a number of businesses on Yelp for quotes, and Shaq had the best price and timeframe. We dropped the flares off the same week. He contacted us shortly after that they found a defect in one of the flares; they offered to fix it, but the flare company decided they'd send out a new one instead. Xtreme Motorsports was kind enough to house the flares until the new one arrived. Within a week, they were ready for pickup and looked great! We really appreciated the attention to detail the employees showed, the quick turn around, and Shaq's positive personality. I'd use their services again!

I was already feeling good vibes. He happened to have openings that day. Dropped my car off in the afternoon. Got it back in the same afternoon. I was okay picking it up the next day, so I was surprised by the quick turn around. After installing high-end aftermarket parts, plus labor, the price was very reasonable compared to other options in the area. When I picked up my car, Dan took me on a tour of his clean shop filled with badass custom cars they are currently working on. Had a great conversation with him about mech stuff. When I'm looking for a restaurant or any service, I'm the type of person who looks for places with thousands of reviews online with at least 4 stars. This shop has only 11 reviews with 4.5 stars. But man, this shop is so stealth! Even my mom, who's not a car person, was like, "you've been here this whole time?!" Dan happens to be a 20+ year master technician from Toyota. So, I'm never going to another dealership or anyone else for service when I'm in Washington. (I'm from California and was visiting family) I'll recommend my friends as far out as Seattle to check this shop out!

He explained to me over the phone how to check it out, so I did. After talking to him a second time he said, bring it in and I'll warranty it, which I did also had him do one other repair and replace the fuel filter. When I went to go pick it up apparently a fuel filter and a brake handle cost more than $207. He caught a bad attitude and said "what do you expect me to work for free. Pretty horrible turn of events after being treated so well the first time. In short, just make sure you get a quote instead of a handshake deal. Their Shop rate is $150 an hour.
