Our last day in London started out on the early side, and one thing I've learned about London, is that coffee shops and breakfast places are not open for us early risers. Most places don't open till 9:00 a.m. or later! Luckily, we found out about Bill's the night before. This place is a gem among the Soho restaurant scene. Breakfast at Bill's goes anywhere from a basket of toast and pastries with butter and three different jams, to pancakes with strawberries and bananas, to full English plates and various egg dishes, and there are plenty of options for vegetarians. The place is funky and fabulous on the inside with a décor, which must be seen to be appreciated. The music went from Reggie, to Memphis Blues, to Jazz without blinking an eye. The servers were friendly, funny, and at times entertaining as the got down to the funky music. There is no London pretension here, only great food, and great service. Went here today for lunch with the girls and our kiddies. The waitress was lovely friendly and attentive. Our dishes came promptly and pretty much together. No waiting for 10 mins for your friend to be served whilst you eat. I ordered seabass I found the portion to be small and lacked any real flavour I wasn't left impressed with the dish at all. My daughter had a bowl of pasta from the kids meal it was huge - she loved it. She has a dairy intolerance so it was really nice when the waitress gave her 3 huge pieces of sliced watermelon (we had a smootie and she saw my daughter had ravished the watermelon on the side) and sorbet for her dessert at no extra charge. We came here last night for a quick bite before a show. I've always thought of Bill's as quite a laid back place so didn't think to ask if it would be fine for me to have a full meal and for my friend to just have some bread and olives. However, turns out they only have a license for it you order full meals (or a starter each) We had already ordered our drinks and the waitress was quite rude about it but the manager came over and sorted it straight away offering us a mezze on the house, which was so delicious we ordered another. Seriously olives the size of apples! Was impressed by her quick thinking and sorting of a tricky situation. Meh. It's a lively spot with a nice casual vibe. The avocado toast wasn't very impressive -- while the egg was cooked well, the avocadoes were all all hard and not very ripe. The peach mint tea was basically a strong peach flavor and very little mint. Not a bad spot to rest your feet but not really a spot to go out of your way for. read more

Place is cute and super popular. Service started out very good. We got our drinks and coffee quickly and they were all good. Also, appetizers came out quickly and were tasty. Then we waited and waited for our main dishes. A waiter asked if we were ready for the check. Turns out our orders weren't even sent to the kitchen. So we wait some more. Dishes finally came out. This is a favourite brunch haunt for me - I like the relaxed decor and atmosphere, the casual and friendly (quite American in style) service and their lovely brunch menu...I love that it's not an endless exercise in frustration to get a table at their spacious restaurants and I really appreciate being able to linger on at my table after a generous portion of brunch, smoothie, coffee, etc. This is the one place where I actually felt envious seeing my friends ordering the vegetarian breakfast set while I was eating my standard meaty breakfast...so I had their veggie breakfast and I love it! This restaurant is a shinning example of how a great restaurant should operate. I was impressed by pretty much everything. I had the opportunity to work near by for about 3 weeks, and initially I wasn't sure about Bill's, it's corner location seemed to be the perfect place for a tourist trap, but one working dinner brought me there, and I became a fan. The staff was friendly and prompt, cocktails are delicious, food is made with care, with fresh ingredients, and in reasonable portions. The Menu, drink list, all tastefully designed, not only that, you can tell it's printed by a respectable printer as well. We had a lovely time at Bill's. We were in Piccadilly on a Friday night and it was very busy. We put our name on the list for a table and were told it would be about a half hour. We arrived back prior to the half hour and were seated. Service was prompt, our server, Savannah was wonderful, and the food was fantastic. We were a party of four and we all had a great time! Entering Bills is like entering a south european food marked. Even though it feels busy the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. This is the perfect daytime food place and hangout serving high quality farmers style food, however, I would not go there in the evening. I'd chosen the vegetarian break due to the combo of flavors & wasn't disappointed. Humus. Guacamole. Sweet chili sauce. Excellent start to the day. Wow! The eggs Benedict was outstanding! I always say the make or break part of an eggs Benny is the hollandaise (duh!) and theirs was on point. My gal and I came here our first night in London for dinner and absolutely loved the place. We had the chicken skewers and giant olives as appetizers. Both were delicious and generous portions. In short, Bill's was an excellent stop for a delicious luncheon. Our server, Truly, was a friendly delight, spending time for chit-chat and sharing her music and travels made our meal time feel like being with a friend. I had brunch here. The food could have been good. It was attractively presented but everything on my plate was exceptionally cold, so couldn't really enjoy much. My mum also had the same problem, with the same dish. The decor was very nice, with a lot of interesting things to look at. The woman who who welcomed everyone was a bit obsequious and over-the-top. Went for breakfast here and was very impressed with the service and atmosphere. Our breakfasts arrived lukewarm which wasn't great, but when we commented to the staff they took them away without fuss and delivered hotter replacements. The new breakfasts were cooked again from scratch rather than just nuked in the microwave and the staff also apologised and took them off the bill, which was a nice surprise. OK Bill's! This little tasty treat was recommended by a friend as we were planning to travel across the pond. I have to say, I wasn't really looking for it, but stumbled across it while shopping... and remembered the great guidance. Bill's did not disappoint! The décor and atmosphere is busy, eclectic, and fun. The service was super friendly and fast. The menu delightfully full of old favorites and some new English combos. I will say that during both visits, the restaurant was pretty full... but we never had to wait for a table. I really enjoyed the fried chicken burger with slaw... so yummy! Great place and vibe. Probably a little harsh but the main ingredients in my and my wife's dish (avocado) was not ripe so was a little hard. Other than that - great breakfast.
