There's always places that's is a must whenever your in the area. And this is one of them. We've been coming for years now and have brought friends here. And each time, they and myself have alway enjoyed our meal and experience. Thursday night, with the village fest going on. We stopped by for dinner before walking the blvd. I would have loved to enjoy dinner al fresco but it was too hot for everyone else... They did have patio seating with mister but we ended up in the main dining room. Theres normally the hostess at the entrance of the place but I guess with it being hot, we checked in at the main hostess's table inside. It was actually quite busy indoor. I think out of all the times I've been here, this may have been the second or third time inside. Our waiter was sweet and friendly. He mentioned the specials but we were a little taken back as it was so fast we couldnt understand what he was saying....lol... Didn't want to interrupt him or make him uncomfortable. Anyway, we knew what we wanted from the menu. Baguette and tapenade was brought out before hand to enjoy. Quite tasty especially when it was nice and hot. Water and drinks were constantly freshen up. Everyone was amazing and friendly. Entrees, the ham and peas tortellini. We've had this dish before which was excellent and it was the same this time. The cream sauce was very tasty as well as stuffed tortellini. Very filling and delicious. Also the spinach ravioli. First time trying this dish and it was delicious as well. Pretty filling with the portion and the filling was delicious. Also paired well with the sauce. Both dish was excellent and very filling. Lastly, we had this dish before and like it, the linguine rustica. A mixture of chicken, beef and shrimp with bell peppers and onion in a red sauce. This too was very filling and quite big. The meat was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Beef had a really nice taste and very tender. Nice big pieces of shrimp. Highly recommend this dish. Of course we were pretty full that there was no room for dessert. But they do bring out some biscotti and I believe it's amaretto after dinner. A nice little cleanser and just enough sweets. Meal was delicious and the service was excellent. Each visit has been great hence why it's alway a stop for us.

Came here on our first night in Palm Springs. They sat us outside. The weather was pleasant. The evening was quiet. Romantic and intimate. Great date spot. We ordered the carpaccio. It was good. For dinner I went with the eggplant parmesan. It came with pasta. Generous portion. Filling and delicious.

It was little of wait for table so decided to sit in the cozy bar. We shared the pepperoni pizza and Mediterranean salad. The bar server took excellent care of us,quick to refill our drinks and food came out quick! Would definitely come again! I asked my husband if we could eat here again last night but went to Spencer's instead (for Mother's Day) Both of us regret that

This deserves 4.5 stars! Beautiful ambiance with parking lot that is free! We came on a Monday evening and the inside was packed. There is a nice patio outdoors. Not sure if I could handle outdoors when the temp picks up. Staff--super friendly and accommodating. They split the wedge salad and pasta we ordered. No extra charge. Food--4.5 stars! We got the scallop and prawn linguine special and it was perfectly cooked. Wedge salad was great also (ask for dressing on the side if you mind heavy dressing).

It's been roughly 2 years since my last visit to Samuel Geez. Luis did an exceptional job with the order and checked on us multiple times. I feel like the prime visiting time is during happy hour around 2-2:30 to bleed into dinner at 3. The Calamari Fritti was on point and the New Zealand Lamb Chops were tasty and very tender, which was a difficult feat for that meat.

This restaurant really captures the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Make reservations, because it gets packed! I made reservations for Memorial Day weekend and listed outside preferred. They were already booked outside, so my husband and I got a romantic table near the window. The service was great. The complimentary bread with olive tapenade is amazing. My husband and I split a Mediterranean salad. It was so refreshing. We also shared the meatballs appetizer, which was very tasty. For our entree, we each had the sand dabs. They were delicious with a strong punch of lemon flavor. We topped our meal off with a lovely bottle of pinot grigio. Next time, I'd love to try the penne with vodka sauce. This place is lively, romantic, and fun. We will definitely add this to our Palm Springs rotation.

Menu hits all the good points of Italian food. Served in a great atmosphere, and great service at our table. Our four top: 2 pasta specials, amazing lasagna, and the chicken pizza. Topped off with the in-house made carrot cake. It was a great food evening. Very crowded. My guess you should make a reservation.

This is my second time to Sammy G's in the past few years. Came back for a Happy Hour to kickstart vacation in the desert. I ordered the Tuscan Margarita and Palm Springs Mule for drinks, and the Pan Fried Ravioli and Sirloin Sliders for food. Luis provided great service and the food, drinks, and atmosphere was enjoyable. I will be back!

Service: 10/10 Food: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Me and my friend came in 5/28/26 for and early dinner and we were so pleased! The staff is very accommodating, attentive and efficient. I ordered a ribeye but I wanted truffle fries with aioli instead of the other sides and they happily made that, she ordered lamb chops but she wanted a Cesar and they made that. As an appt we got the charcuterie I'd rate that a 6/10 but everything else was a 9/10. Two entrees with extra charges for subbing items, 3 cocktail drinks, and an appetizer. We paid $157. Not bad at all for all that food and cocktails! Definitely give this restaurant a shot if you're ever in town!

Been here many times when coming to palm spring, the food here is on point with Italian cuisine tradition, got the chicken fettuccine pasta and linguine with clam and scallops, very good decorations inside, right on the downtown and bar area, so very convenient The service is a little bit slow but friendly and professional A good place to drop by special occasions or just a normal night out, very good music later night as well, so for sure great place to social also!

This dish is delicious! Has a great flavor and it's a huge portion size, to be enjoyed by yourself or even sharing. it's the perfect dish for both. Almost as good as a San Francisco cioppino.

I made reservations for a party of four at the outdoor patio area since we were bringing two small dogs. My parents have ate here a lot but it was my first time. They brought two plastic dishes with water for the dogs. The nice lady even held the dish while my puppy drank. The food was good, we ordered an Eggs Benedict, Salmon Eggs Benedict, an omelette and I ordered pasta with tomato sauce and blackened chicken. It took a while for the waitress to take our order and it took a long time for our food. The lunch rush was over and the patio was half empty so I don't know why it took so long. My mom liked the omelette, the two different Eggs Benedict were tasty. My pasta was good and the bread with olive and olive oil were great. The patio is super nice and the dogs were happy plus we all had a good time with the dogs.

I recently moved to Palm Springs and have been trying different restaurants around the area without repeating places so I can truly find my favorites, and so far, this one is definitely at the top of my list. The ambiance was pleasant and welcoming, the decor was beautiful, and the service was attentive from start to finish. Needless to say, the food was delicious. I had the ribeye, and it was cooked exactly the way I wanted it. Everything was also priced very reasonably for the quality and experience. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing guests here whenever they come visit Palm Springs.

The outdoor setting is truly charming--elegant yet relaxed, and very much in keeping with the desert's natural beauty. The evening began with a delightful cocktail hour and a selection of appetizers, which set a festive and convivial tone. Much of the staff was warm and attentive, contributing positively to the celebratory atmosphere. As the evening progressed, however, there was a rather curious moment. While waiting for the restroom--of which there are only two--my friend and I couldn't help but overhear a staff member speaking rather candidly about the event, remarking on how "easy" it all was and questioning her colleagues' capabilities to handle such an event. It felt like an unexpected glimpse behind the curtain, and admittedly, not the most professional one. Shortly thereafter, we realized that it was our own waitress who was commenting on the very event we were attending. While we chose to take it in stride and even found some humor in the situation as the evening unfolded, it did lend a slightly chaotic undertone to the service. Our waitress appeared quite rushed and somewhat flustered, which stood in contrast to her earlier remarks. That said, the evening concluded on a high note. The meal itself was thoroughly enjoyable, and the company, of course, made the celebration special. All in all, it was a lovely night--enhanced with a touch of unintended "entertainment."

It paired well with the pasta dish. We elected to have it cooked medium-rare, and it came out cooked to the ideal temperature. Bar Cecil was an excellent dining experience and one we are looking forward to having again. Make sure you have a reservation!

We shared a bunch of dishes, which is definitely the way to experience the menu. The cocktails (not pictured) were fantastic--whether you're in the mood for a timeless classic or something a little more whimsical, there's something for everyone. The escargot was beautifully prepared and made even better by the perfectly char-grilled baguette that came alongside it. The steak tartare was an absolute flavor bomb with great seasoning, especially paired with the house-made potato chips. It leaned a touch salty, but in a way that made it the perfect appetizer and somehow had us ordering another round of cocktails. The grilled artichokes were simple, smoky, and delicious. The red curry mussels were served with that same incredible bread and an aromatic, deeply flavorful broth that we didn't want to leave behind. The smoked pork chop was another standout--beautifully charred on the outside while staying perfectly juicy inside. Beyond the food, the service was fabulous, attentive, but not rushed. The atmosphere is quintessential Palm Springs: stylish, colorful, well-lit and a lively environment overall. It made for a memorable birthday celebration, and everyone in our group left happy. We'll absolutely be back.

Maybe because it fell like a spot only locals go to. But it all changed once my wife's salad came. It was built with the utmost care and it tasted amazing. It was like a fancy balsamic salad with sourdough bread and cherry tomatoes. Then our waiter was very helpful and told us about the food and recommended a wild mushroom pasta. He said all the pasta sauces were made the same day and he even showed us a video of the kitchen and how the noodles are made. I like mushrooms but I'm usually a burger or a steak guy. But I went with it. My wife got a shrimp pasta. Both tasted absolutely amazing...my wife pasta was so refreshing and my mushroom pasta was superb!! The waiter was so cool too. There was a super nice sunset and he told us to go outside and look at it because it was a rare type of sunset. This is one of those restaurants where the food is made of high quality ingredients and the chef/s really does put care into their dishes. All in all, if I'm back in town, I'd come by again for the food.

Everyday from 4-6pm. Well cocktails are 6 bucks, martinis are 10, and they typically poor doubles, so amazingly worth it. Happy hour beet tartare is surprisingly delicious for what it is. Although, I would pick out a bunch of the capers. Restaurants have this thing dumping handfuls of capers like it's the main ingredient. It's like eating a whole dill pickle in a cheeseburger. Wow. Also get the pork belly crispy rice. You won't be disappointed. We come here for their regular menu for special date nights and are never disappointed. The pork chop was awesome. You really can't go wrong. Enjoy!
