    Espresso Martini

Food was out of this world bursting with flavor and freshness!! From the Pizza to Pasta to the Brussels sprouts, everything was divine! Topped it off with a yummy espresso martini. Highly recommend. Staff and atmosphere is perfect. We had a big party, the staff didnt miss a beat and the outdoor seating under the trees/lights was the perfect setting.

My husband and I had heard Birba has great cocktails, so we gave it a try. I loved my Italian greyhound, a delicious marriage of vodka, aperol, and grapefruit juice, all favorites. Do not miss the garlic knot, filled with garlic and tasty fresh bread. As the place filled, so did the noise level at this patio restaurant. Service was pleasant, my salad fresh, the pizza large, but just okay. Lots of trendy ingredients and vegetarian choices on the menu.

We were so hungry we did not even have time to wait for a table... it was cold. It was windy outside, so we sat at the bar. I ordered the meatballs with polenta and ricotta. It was so good. I gobbled it up without even thinking about it. The service was very good. The food was nice . In this particular mall, there's really not a lot of restaurants with this quality of food so we were happy to find this place as we were walking and shopping. We were definitely not in the mood for a food court, so this was a nice option.

We hosted a pre-wedding party Italian family style dinner for our family and friends on a Thursday night on their outdoor patio. The dinner was delicious! It was a perfect evening! Thank you F10!!

Fun outdoor space, full on a Sunday night. We tried the radicchio and endive salad, cacio e Pepe Brussel sprouts and the special pizza, all tasty and good portions. Service was friendly and attentive they let us sample the wine to help us make a decision.

Did a walk in with my husband and baby, they got a nice table convenient with the stroller. Drinks were delicious and we shared a pizza which was soooo tasty. The dough was fantastic. Very cute romantic restaurant great for groups and date night

We were excited to go here, as we love good pizza. The setting is lovely, outside under the trees. Very romantic. Unfortunately, even though our server was very nice, everything took a really long time. We ordered drinks, my dirty martini was OK, but not great, probably the olive juice. My husband's beer (Abita brown lager) didn't come til after the salad was served. Beet salad was very good! Then we waited and waited for our pizza. We got the Piece of the Pie pizza, toppings were good but the crust was awful. Thin but soggy. I only ate 1 piece, and a few of the toppings from the rest. I guess because of our wait our server comped us dessert - butterscotch pudding that was excellent! We might try again and have pasta, and hope service is better.

Birba - Disappointing Experience Despite Good Food My husband, Mark S., made a reservation earlier this evening for 7:00 PM. We arrived early at 6:45 PM, checked in with the hostess, and she barely acknowledged us. The Latina hostess was too busy chatting and joking with her coworkers to pay attention when I told her we had a reservation. Despite that, she still made us wait about 15 minutes -- even though the table they eventually sat us at was already vacant and clearly ready. Once seated, we waited again for our server. To his credit, he was attentive once he arrived and apologized for the delay -- he was the one redeeming part of the night. What really surprised me was being served food with no napkins or utensils. We had to ask for them, which is unacceptable at this level. And when the pasta pomodoro came out, no one offered extra cheese or pepper -- something that should be standard for a pasta dish. The dining setup itself is uncomfortable. Tables are far too close, and guests and servers kept bumping into each other or having to apologize just to get by. It didn't feel organized or relaxing. The food was great, but everything around it made the experience not worth it. Palm Springs has plenty of restaurants with better hospitality and better respect for reservations. I only tried Birba because The Eater recommended it, but I wouldn't return. If you plan on visiting, make a reservation and still expect to wait. Honestly, takeout might be the more pleasant option.

Surprisingly good food. We liked the black pepper tagliatelle the most with the birba pizza second. The tagliatelle had a really nice flavor and wasn't too heavy. The pizza was sweet with a little bit of kick and deliciously meaty. We also ordered the Tutto carne pizza which was like a yummy meat lovers pizza. We had a lemon olive oil cake and tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu was a little too mushy and not enough mascarpone but the lemon olive oil cake was nicely balanced, and tasty.

Contrary to some of the recent reviews that the pizza was soggy and food was bland, we liked it! It was home style and focused on delicious ingredients like homemade sausage, dates and olives to season the dishes. We got the sausage pizza (good crust), beet salad (huge and fresh, though I thought the dollop of cheese on top was bland), chicken with dates and olives (amazing balance of flavors) and roasted cauliflower (tasty and not too oily). $25 corkage and a great playlist made it a wonderful evening. All in all a good experience!

I came here on a Friday evening with a bachelorette party and it was great! Every single pizza was flavorful and an absolute hit. Don't be shy to try the lemon pizza, it was phenomenal! They also served me a Lambrusco with a heavy pour. Always love a generous bar! Service was great and parking was on the street. It is completely outdoors so keep that in mind if you want to escape the heat but I totally recommend for yummy dinner!

Sure you pay for everything for decor, glassware and not just spritis, but I recall wondering how they price their drinks becuase not everything is equal or standard mark up when some things aren't house made it's easy to cost out becuase you stop paying for creativity after a certain point. It feels like they took alot of Mr. Lyons business model and use that for pricing rather than a sole entity with their own margins. The service makes up for it, the ambiance makes up for it. What we also found out, it was happy hour going on. Didn't even know this place offered happy hour as we've only been for breakfast and brunch. When we arrived it was slow. The whole patio area that's part of the restaurant and the side where the sidewalk was were both emptied. That in between time where brunch was finished and they were setting up dinner. Even with the mister and some of the shade, it was still pretty hot out so we opted for the patio section by the restaurant. We've never seen this menu so it was new to us. Honestly wanted their brunch menu but it was too late. The waitress working was basically doing everything as she was the only one on deck. Hostess, waitress and bartender. It did start to pick up while we were there. Drink wise, one of their Bloody Mary which comes with a slice of bacon and their lemon drop. Both very tasty. Food, an order of the ahi tuna salad. Seared tuna on top of mixed greens with crunchy onion, tomatoes, avocados and a really delicious ginger dressing. Quite tasty. The beet salad with added chicken. Beets tossed in a mixed greens with feta and roasted chicken. That too was quite nice. Lastly the veggies burger. Simple burger Pattie with all the trimming and served with seasoned fries. Of course the truffle fries were needed which was part of the happy hour. I can truly say that this place has amazing seasoned fries that's always a must for us. I didn't expect to see a different menu as were used to brunch but it was nice. Service was good for us as it wasn't too busy when we arrived with only one waitress working. The lady at the door told us inside would probably be loud because there were two bigger tables in there. It was hot outside, so we decided to sit inside anyway. We almost immediately regretted that and wished we'd sat outside. This place is not made for being busy on the inside. It's just too loud. But, cute in there. Our server, who we later learned was the bartender and not a usual server, took our drink orders. A few of us ordered the Hugo spritz, one gal got a beer, and a few other cocktails were ordered. We got our drinks and they were enjoyable. The problem began when we were ordering food. One girl in our group is Celiac and literally can not eat gluten. She ordered the salmon and asked to be sure the potato salad was gluten free. If things are fried or prepared in the same place as gluten objects, she is incredibly ill for weeks afterwards. She has to be super careful. His response was, "I think so." She told him she was celiac and had a true gluten allergy, and she needed him to be sure. Meanwhile, the menu boasts about how they proudly serve gluten free options right on the bottom. He then said, "yeah, I'm pretty sure it is." He genuinely did not seem concerned. She ended up ordering it but felt uncomfortable about whether or not it was really safe for her. Another girl at the end of the table asked him to please double check, as it was really a serious allergy. He said, "Yeah I am going to ask the chef. I wasn't going to just ignore it and make all you girls mad." He had the snarkiest tone when he said it, and it was incredibly, incredibly rude. That right there gave us a bad taste in our mouths. He came back out and said he checked with the chef, and it was indeed gluten free. Food came out and all tasted good. But when a restaurant prides itself on gluten free options, and then makes it so hard to order, it's not a good look. We wouldn't be back.

It caught our attention as we had stayed in two different Kimpton Hotels in Seattle prior. We wanted to grab a drink at the Window Bar (not knowing that was its actual name, but the conversation we had with the bartender about that window shining too much light at certain parts of the morning definitely gave me a chuckle in hindsight). We happened to be a bit early since he had not been able to finish setting up shop yet. We went ahead and waited until he was ready without rushing him because we ourselves weren't in any rush at all. Surrounded by a ton of nice interesting artwork, it was a pure joy to enjoy a drink or two in this environment. The bar can be found at the corner on the other side of the hotel concierge in plain sight from such a big space for a lobby, directly left upon entrance through the front. Since it was slow in the morning, we were able to chat it up with the bartender and even explore a bit of experimentation in the form of a particular top secret cocktail that every mixologist knows. I definitely exercised my etiquette and reading the conditions to even suggest it. He couldn't be any nicer about our time with him. So yeah, Christopher H. from 9/9/18, I don't know what you're talking about. I make it a point to visit the bar at any Kimpton location nowadays. I always seem to have a good time. But then again, I can only speak for myself. Parking: Street, unless you're a guest at the hotel.
