While they have good food, the service needs some work. I ordered online, with curbside pickup. But when I got to the restaurant the parking lot was completely full. There were no dedicated curbside pickup slots. I parked on the side and of the building and called them to let them know I was there. They told me to park in the one handicap spot, which was already taken. I was then told they would bring my order out in 10 to 15 minutes? Why so long? As I was about to go inside two Doordash drivers rolled up amped literally blocked my car in. Both of them parked less than 6 inches from my bumpers. They just didn't care. I love me some thin crust pizza and it is great here. It's no NY style pizza, but a runner up in my books. Unlike other wood fired brick oven pizza places, they don't burn their crust much here so I'm not left with a burnt aftertaste - 2 thumbs up for that. In addition to their regular pizza options, they also have a pizza of the month or you can build your own. All the pizzas are 12" and ranges from $12 - $14. Sunnyside Up $13 - I should have added tomato sauce to this pizza since I'm a sauce fan, but it was a great pizza that reminds me of breakfast. Very Veggie $14 - This pizza was good, even though I'm not a goat cheese fan. The veggies did a good job disguising the goat cheese flavor. They also sell Kimmer's ice cream, which looks like gelato, but is not. Kimmer's is a local gourmet ice cream place in Wheaton. So the older lady that was manning the ice cream station went from cleaning and mopping to scooping without washing her hands. I figured she wasn't using her bare hands to touch the ice cream, so I didn't say anything, but it was off putting. Came here for lunch with my daughter and got the veggie quattro formaggi pizza and added chicken :). Checked into yelp and saw I got free bread bites...love getting good free stuff. I really like the sauce of the pizza. I also like the bigger bits of chicken I was able to add to my veggie pizza :) The ordering was fast and the price is good. This location has a lot of seating including a patio outside. Although we literally opened the place since we got here right at 11 am so we were the only ones here. Maybe a couple of times a year... So I ordered a tuna sandwich. Extraordinarily delicious! The place is fairly bare-bones in terms of decor, but it doesn't matter. A couple of patrons were there eating the pizza; very good, one of them told me when I asked. A week later I went back and tried the veggie sandwich. Extraordinarily delicious again!! Before the year is out, I suspect I will have sampled the menu. The people behind the counter were very friendly & efficient. Four stars is good. No negatives to report. I am changing to 5 stars. Not only are there gluten-free pizzas one of the best GF's I've had (coupled with that fact that their pizzas's in general are top notch), I just found out the other day that they have GF bread (including GARLIC BREAD) as well. Can't rightfully be eagerly anticipating my next visit while leaving a 1-star review out there. Bill: Remove the Tip Screen, especially with a minimum of 15% for a place that isn't even full-service (you order and pay for your food in advance and they bring it to you and clean up your plates, better than Culver's, though Culver's don't ask for a tip), and I'd love to give 5 stars again and visit there as much as I used to. read more

In the land of deep dish, there is a place that serves pizza the way it's meant to be. (I probably just ended up on hundreds of Bear fans hit list). Neapolitan style pizzas made in a wood burning brick oven. This is my favorite way to have a pizza by far and Brick's does it perfectly. I was in town for about 5 months on and off for work and sadly I didn't discover this place until late. However I still managed 3 visits. The 1st visit I got 2 pizzas because I couldn't decide. I got the BBQ Chicken with smoked gouda and a Margherita. The BBQ Chicken was everything I dreamed it to be and the Margherita was a slightly different version with the tomatoes and garlic. Still really good. My 2nd visit I had a Caprese salad which was only 5.00 and an Italian sausage and peppers. It's basically a Chicago meets Neapolitan style. Phenomenal. On my 3rd trip I tried the Sunny SIde up. I was feeling adventurous so why not. It's a cheese pizza with olive oil, garlic, bacon and green onions with 2 eggs cooked right in the middle of the pizza. I cannot explain what this did to the pizza but it was great. I read up on it later and apparently this is a normal thing in Italy and after having it I see why, I'll be on the look out during my travels in the future for this phenomenal pizza. The best part about Bricks is of course the great thin crust 12 inch pizzas with perfect charred crust but also the price. The pizzas are all either 12-13 each. A complete bargain for these perfect pies. As I write this review from my moms kitchen, I am contemplating driving 4 hours to the north just to get one. read more

Our whole family loves Bricks. Really fresh, quality ingrediants make an authentic ready-to-order brick oven pizza without a long wait. Their gluten free pizza crust is delicious, but the extra charge for it makes my small pizza very pricey if I want to get a topping. The dining area is small and casual, but clean and comfortable. I like the pizza, but hate the stare down I receive every.single.time I'm checking out when the tip screen comes up. SUPER uncomfortable, and how is someone supposed to accurately tip before service? Take a page from other local restaurants and let people leave a cash tip on the table AFTER service if they feel it's warranted. I made a huge mistake last night by posting a negative review for Billy Bricks and not knowing all the facts. Bricks has the best pizza I've ever tasted and I was disappointed when my pizza arrived cold and thank God I ran across a public relations email, a fellow named Peter is the one who received my negative email and I felt horrible after finding out it was Grub-hub who delivered it without an insulated bag, not Bricks. Peter apologized on Grub-hubs behalf and told me if I give them another chance and order directly through them (didn't realize they delivered) that my outcome we be totally different. I come to Chicago twice a year for training and have ordered their pizza every time, most time two nights in a row, that's how good their pizza is. When I got out of training today I told my wife (who's always with me) what had happened and she scolded me for not getting all my facts right before posting a negative review and she's right and I deserved it. Because their pizza is so dang good and because Peter took the time to explain to me who's fault it was, we ordered pizza again and my wife will not eat anything two nights in a row, except for Brick's pizza. This time we ordered a pizza & pretzel bites and the pizza & bites showed up hot and the delivery driver who was from a totally different store, apologized for my experience I had the night before and upsized my pizza to a 16" which made me feel even worse than I did. I've been to Bricks a few times and I've always been pretty happy with the overall visit. The wood fire pizza at Bricks is a great option when you're in the mood for a great tasting pizza. My favorite is the BBQ Chicken & Smoked Gouda--plenty of BBQ sauce and topped with a good amount of chicken. I'm not sure I would order the White Arugula again. It was topped with too much arugula (see picture) and had a very strong lemon taste. Bricks has a large selection of specialty pizza so there are plenty to choose from. I thought the specialty pizzas were priced a little high for what you get...although they are big enough to share. The pizza is cooked in a wood oven so it bakes quickly and is brought to the table in a short time. They offer more than just pizza...sandwiches, salads, soup, and appetizers. Also, wine and draft beer is available. They have indoor seating and a cute little patio on the side of the restaurant. Overall--I've been pretty happy with the pizzas but I might try a sandwich or salad next time. read more

Man I was on the fence with what to give Bricks. It was between 3 and 4 stars. Now let me explain, I love pizza, I have it every chance I can get, I make it at home all the time, it's a true love. With that said, I judge pizza more than "omg cheese and bread and meat, best pizza ever" like some people are. No, there is more that goes into a perfectly crafted pizza. Now my experience here was good. I went after work around 5pm on a Wednesday and it was dead, that doesn't mean anything other than its right after work on a Wednesday... I ordered 2 pizzas, the white arugula and the bbq chicken, and the club med veggie sandwich. The pizza, not bad. Easy on the toppings, so that it doesn't overwhelm the overall bite. The white arugula was very flavorful, fresh tasting, and just plain delicious. The bbq was too, good bbq sauce, though I'm not sure if it is just store bought or not, I'm assuming so because it was very sweet, nice amount of red onion and that smoked gouda got it going on. Now here's where I become a stickler. They were not cooked enough! They were not undercooked and doughy, no but they were not golden brown, there was very little browning on the crust and bottom, and the cheese was just melted. I'm sure 1 minute more would have made it better. Another thing, with wood fired pizza, the dough needs to be light, flaky crust but sturdy enough to not have your toppings fall off when holding a slice to devour. This dough seemed to be tough. My jaw had a workout with every bite. Not sure if this was older dough or overworked, but it was a little disappointing to have to chew, what seemed forever to get down the delicious. The veggie was good. My wife liked it, said she would get it again. Pricing is good, menu options are great. I would def try this place out again and hopefully I'll have a pizza cooked a little bit more and not as tough. read more

Overall I was very pleased with Brick's. My husband and I were randomly in the area and stopped in with zero expectations. First impression: clean and open store. The oven is right there so you can see the fire going before you even order. The menus are digital and very easy to read. I liked how I wasn't overwhelmed with options, but they do allow you to create your own pizza. I decided to go with a plain cheese and my husband got The Big Piluski and a drink. Overall, $25 which is comparable to going to competitors such as Neo or Fiamme. I thought the pizza was really good. It took only a few minutes to get to our table (as Neapolitan pizza should due to it's short cook time). The cheese pizza came with PLENTY of cheese and the crust was fantastic -- chewy yet crispy. It's important to note I brought half of my pizza home and reheated it the next day and the crust reheated very nicely; it didn't turn into a rock like some competitor's. I'd say Brick's is a good option if you don't feel like dealing with Downtown Naperville parking. I can say I got a great meal there! read more
