This is a great all around restaurant. The fresh catch is was Halibut served on a bed of veggies and amazing sauce. I must say the potato purée was the best thing I had here.... I have to say the summer ravioli was not the most appetizing.... presentation was great, but being that it was drowned in a creamy sauce, it was bland. That's why I put 4 stars rather than 5. To get back on a good note the peach cobbler was fantastic. Service is great.... will be coming back again. read more

We loved our visit to Billy Can Can tonight. Excellent food, decor, ambiance and service. The five of us had a great table right in the front window with a view of the street and the AAC in the distance. I was worried that we would have traffic problems on a Saturday night with a Mavs game going on, but it was an easy drive in and the valet parking was breeze. The wine list is excellent and unique and the whiskey list is expansive. All of us had delicious dishes from appetizers to entrees and sides and the desserts were even better. Heard to beat the warm Texas sheet cake and toffee cake served in ramekins made for sharing. The steaks, short rib and pork chop were all top notch. Our waiter Matt was perfect--fun, smart and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. This will definitely be a go-to spot for us in the future. read more

Great first experience here. Lots of different cocktails to choose from and an excellently curated menu. We walked in on a weeknight and were seated right away which was somewhat surprising since the place was pretty packed. The vibe on one half the restaurant is different from the other half. One side is very open and has a lot of natural light, the other side is more romantic, candlelit and much darker. The bar side was packed full with people enjoying happy hour drinks and food at the bar, high tops and tables. We were sat in the darker room, and it definitely set the mood. We had a couple cocktails which were excellent, the swordfish steak and snapper, all of it was flavorful and perfectly prepared. We were too full and running tight on time to try appetizers or dessert, but a few things like the cobbler definitely caught my eye so we'll have to come back! I can't wait until they start serving brunch so I can have a new regular brunch spot. Service was attentive and good, but our server was a little awkward, I think they're still working out a couple kinks having just opened. This restaurant is the perfect blend of modernity and old west that only a city in Texas can achieve. The decor is full of taxidermy heads of animals and historic artifacts on the walls. Yet the food is out of this world. The deviled eggs are served 6 at a time and no two are the same. I ordered the fried quail which is very good although I personally didn't like it. (That doesn't diminish my score) Although I'm not sure what else I would have ordered, if you're looking for a good ol' fashioned burger you won't find any here. We came on a busy Friday night but were seated quickly. Despite many wait staff running around, service has been very slow and inattentive. Most disappointingly out of everything we ordered, the salad was the best. For a $40+ dish to barely have any meat on the bone is unacceptable. The fries were very dry, as was the corn bread. Safe to say, we won't back. One more thing about the service. A waiter (not ours) tried opened a bottle of wine at the bar, the cork flew through the busy restaurant and hit a customer in the face, staff laughed it off between each other and found it rather amusing. No apology was offered to the customer. While we were not the customer in question, it was cringy to see a "high class" establishment to behave in such a way. read more

This place has the best menu in victory place right now! The diverse selection will allow you to eat here every night for a month before you would have to repeat the same dish! The deviled eggs were such a crowd pleaser! The oyster sliders will change your life! Don't leave without one of their fantastic cocktails. The smoked berry is my favorite. Perfect New Years Eve dinner. I am so glad we chose this place to come to for New Years. We are from out of town and wanted to have a special dinner at an A list Dallas restaurant to celebrate the holiday. Wow this place knocked our socks off. The hostess let me know that our 6:30 reservation wasn't in their system but they were so friendly and seated us almost immediately. We had a nice booth with a view of the foot traffic on the street. The ambiance was perfect. Dimly lit, candles on the tables, cool decor, and a really cool bar. The staff were all so friendly and our waiter really took care of us. I forgot his name but he has the awesome handlebar mustache. He explained everything, answered our questions, offered suggestions, and was just a really professional and stand up guy. We wanted to taste as much as we could so we ordered the oysters, venison tartare (omg), and the deviled eggs. All were amazing but the tartare was by far the best thing. We also share the butchers cut steak and it was seasoned perfectly. Drinks were great and dessert was even better! All in all it was a great experience. The bill was the better half of $200 and it was worth every penny to us u like some other restaurants around town where we were left not feeling wowed and also still hungry. If you haven't been here then do yourself a favor and go. read more

We were disappointed with their customer service. We Came by yesterday to try it out for the first time since we had read the reviews. It was about 6:30pm and we asked to sit outside since weather was nice and not many people outside. When we came in and asked to sit outside the hostess automatically said they were all booked outside and the only availability was in the bar or the communal table and did not even take the time to check if we could be accommodated.the inside was pretty empty but we were shut down as if they didn't want our business. As soon as we left and walked over to Mesero across the street they provided amazing customer service and even offered to set up a table outside for us since they were actually busy! The fact that they went above and beyond for us means they gained a loyal customer and billy lost the opportunity, hopefully they can use this to give more appreciation and better customer service. read more

Billy Can Can is the bomb! Came for a celebratory dinner with two graduates getting ready to leave for college. They LOVED it!!! Drew, the bartender made them a peach sweet tea with a simple syrup that made them soooo happy!! He then was a mixologist with Tito's and made me something completely refreshing on a hot Dallas summer day. For appetizers we suggest the duros since they were light and crispy or the sausage and pickles. For dinner the long bone pork chop and the skate schnitzel were both delicious. I had the snapper special fish and it was terrible. It was so undercooked you could not cut it with knife provide, should have had a steak knife. The snapper itself had a gigantic fat pocket that it was just made eating the fish gross. I'm sure it was me, for I did not know that snapper had fat like a porterhouse steak does. So the 3 stars is because.... The food, service and design were awesome! Loved the cocktail...was great...Apple Fancy...had two! The reason for the lower stars is the lacquer had separated from the edge of the table and it is super sharp.....cut my wrist on it!! The manager was super nice and offered bandaids and neosporin. But I think he probably should have offered me another cocktail or something to dull the pain a bit!! If you sit in the back of the restaurant.....beware of the slicing tabled!! read more

Billy Can Can absolutely blew my mind!!! My family and I decided to try a new place to celebrate my birthday. I was definitely reluctant as I am one to stick to tradition. I looked up the menu and then checked out instagram - after seeing the Card Shark in the boot shaped glass that was similar to one my late Papa used to drink from, I was SOLD. The food was impeccable. The deviled eggs were scrumptious. The mashed potatoes were the creamiest I've ever had in my whole life, they were something out of a dream!! The meat was cooked perfectly and every single one of us has continued to rave about for a week! I don't think I've ever written a review, but I was so impressed that I had to!!! Arrived in Big "D" from San Antonio to attend the Eric Church concert. The wife and I were looking for a bite to eat and a preconcert drink close to American Airlines Center. I found BCC on Yelp, read the reviews and a took a look at the menu. We decided to give it a try. Boy were we ever pleased! BCC is a great space and is very popular especially during times when there is an event at the AA Center. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us at a high top in the bar. Elizabeth, our server was FANTASTIC! She had a great personality, super friendly, professional and most important..... was knowledgeable about the menu. Elizabeth made several recommendations and on her advice we decided to try four. We started with the venison tartar, scrumptious! My wife had the Chefs special, rabbit pot pie, amazing! I decided on the fish of the day, Grilled Tile fish served over a celery purée and quinoa. Both dishes were prepared with the appropriate seasoning. My only complaint is the fish could've been a bit more hot, but fantastic nonetheless. We also added their signature corn bread as a side. All in all, experience was fabulous! Great drink menu/options to compliment the food menu. The final topper was Elizabeth secured an umbrella for us to use during our walk over to the AA Center. We'll be returning for dinner and drinks when we come up to see our Chicago Blackhawks play the Stars! Cheers! read more

The food was fabulous thanks to his recommendations and the service was extraordinary- a memorable evening dining in Dallas! You would be remiss not to order a cocktail with Italicus - a white amaro - a real delight. For dinner the pork chop slightly pink with the tomatoe salad (tomatoes freshly picked from the chef's garden) were both simple summer pleasures. Atmosphere was nice and wait staff was friendly as well. Steak was great, but rest not so much. Cesar salad had an overwhelming fishy taste with the anchovies, could not eat it. The greens was loaded with a garlic taste which made it hard to eat. The server didn't really know what my other side was, which was ok. Dessert was good, my friend didn't for it. I really can't stress enough how underwhelmed I was by this place... the food (wagyu steak) bordered on inedible, and they managed to soil easy dishes like deviled eggs. And with a $200 for 2 price tag, we were also informed it would be a "pain in the ass" to switch the sides on an entree -- SERVICE!!
