The pancakes were so yummy! Usually hate places with big portions but this one doesn't disappoint. The bacon is also really yummy and the servers were so sweet! Make a stop here for breakfast

Service was good. Regular stack of 2 pancakes fed 2 people easily and had enough leftovers for 3 additional meals. Food was tasty and filling. Highly recommend the pancakes.

We have visited another location, and were told that there was less of a crowd at this location. We were glad for that advice because there was no wait at all. This is just a fun place with great breakfast food. The item they are famous for is the giant vanilla pancake. It is not just a gimmick, it is really good! Their biscuits and gravy is also fantastic. We haven't tried anything that we didn't like. If you want a great breakfast, but don't want to wait in a long line, check out this location of Billy Gail's.

Lots of road and retail signs to look at.

While you wait there are plenty of traffic signs and other local memorabilia on the walls to review here. But, our breakfast selection came up quickly, so there wasn't much of a wait. We two chose Billy Gayle's classic breakfast combo, which included its legendary 14-inch pancake, plus scrambled eggs, plus ham steak, plus a couple of slices of bacon, plus hash browns. That combo cost less than two standard entrées and was more than enough for two. Everything was well cooked; service was attentive. About that pancake: If you're not too hungry, a quarter of it is slightly smaller than the standard IHOP pancake, meaning one can feed multiple diners.

We went in as a party of 7 on Thanksgiving day. We knew there would be a wait, but it wasn't bad! We arrived at 11 and were seated just before noon. They had an excellent Thanksgiving meal of ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, yams, stuffing, pie, oh MY! My daughters ordered the double chocolate pancake. They loved it too! Huge portions so dinner is covered. Parking is simple and I'd Highly recommend our server, Miss Pat. She is awesome!

Our friend Andrew took us to Billy Gail's saying he goes here every year on his way home from Branson. He called it a must-do and warned us of the long wait times. We arrived around 8:40am on a Sunday in November and there was a 45 minute wait for our party of 6. We drank our complimentary coffee in styrofoam cups while we waited. The wait flew by, for me anyway. And once we were seat, our waitress was super fast, friendly, helpful and kind. We ordered more coffee and waters. Each couple had a pancake to share (and ultimately take home). Along with delicious eggs, various breakfast meats, and biscuits. A must-do in Branson!

This was our second time visiting this restaurant, however our first time at this specific location. It looks like the location we previously went to remodel, so we opted to visit one instead. The service was very good and they had so many workers so nothing went undone. I think that is amazing because there was something/someone being tended to at every moment. I also love how they all work together. The restaurant is very large on the inside almost resembles a well decorated warehouse. There was plenty of parking, so that definitely wasn't an issue, it was like in a plaza of sort. On the phone really good and fresh. The portions were huge as we experienced last time so I didn't expect anything less.

My wife and I went here for lunch today, right about at 12 o'clock noon. The place was pretty busy, but we were seated fairly quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for a waitress to show up. Both getting our drink order and then coming back for our food order she should have been a little quicker, but it wasn't that big a deal.. She was very good, friendly and she took very good care of my wife The food came out pretty quickly and it was good. I had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and a biscuit. The only problem I noted was that the hashbrowns, while they were crispy, like I like them, They were rehydrated. They were not "real" potatoes. My wife had a salad and it was beautiful, tasteful and huge I love breakfast for any meal, so even with the hashbrowns like that I still loved the meal. The decor is very country on the cusp of being a little hokey. This is a huge restaurant, lots of people, and evidently run exceptionally well. Definitely this is a go to place for breakfast, and when we come back to Branson, I will eat here again

We went for breakfast and the food was delicious! The portions are otherworldly! We got there around 9am and had to wait about 40 minutes to be seated. Our server Pat was amazing - friendly, attentive and efficient. Know that the portions are so large you can share. The pancake was like the size of a hubcap. It's a bit pricey. Everything was great and it was a wonderful experience. Will be back!

Huge portions no matter what you order! Decor is themed rustic with classic signs and quotes hanging everywhere. It was rainy and parking is a huge lot not paved, all rocks.. be prepared to wait especially on summer weekends! We got in and was seated at a side bar to the lobby... only 2 seats not very comfortable. We tried to get reseated but no luck because of how busy they were. Never agree to these seats! Food was good and hot. Locals somewhat friendly

The food, service, and friendly people were great. Just keep in mind the pancakes are enormous as well as very tasty!

    Poorly run restaurant
    Veronica G.

Lack luster service, and the poorly run , zero service excellence. We made a call a head reservation at 10:20 am for 7 people, the hostess that answered the phone read the information back to me and confirmed my telephone number , they told us 1 hr . We arrive and they said they said we were not on the wait list . Then processed to tell us they were 59 tables a head of us .

I have always gone to the original location. This location is bigger and can seat more people faster. The food is just as good. Angela was a great service! Portions are large so if you leave hungry it's your own fault

Stopped into Steamy Joe's Café on a Sunday morning fully prepared for a "put your name down and…read morerethink your life choices" kind of wait. Imagine our surprise when we were quoted 35-minute wait (down the road was 1.5 hours) and a family in front of us had left for their 4th breakfast spot! It turned into us being seated, ordered, and sipping drinks within that actual timeframe! Not sure if this Rare. Magical. Suspiciously efficient. What I did notice is this crew has service dialed in. It was like watching a well-rehearsed dance--servers working together, drinks magically staying full, plates appearing exactly when they should. Tables everywhere: outside, upstairs, downstairs, tucked into every possible nook it looks. If there is square footage, Steamy Joe's found a way to seat people on it. The menu covers breakfast, lunch, drinks, and pies that deserve their own fan club. We had a few special orders in our group (you know who you are), and they nailed every single one without hesitation. Yes, there was even a line just to put your name on the list --and honestly, worth it. Bonus points for the fabulous view out back, which makes the wait even easier to forgive. We will absolutely be back. Just maybe not at peak Sunday brunch time... because clearly everyone else already knows how good this place is.

3.4 star out of 5 for my visit…read more Due to lots of hype this was our second attempt to eat here the day before the wait time was over 45 minutes so we came back to try again and got in within 30 minutes for our party of 5. 3 Adults one teen one 5 year old. They have many reasons for the low review during my experience. Once we were given a table and seated our drink orders were taken about 5 minutes in not bad however it went down from thier. We ordered two cortados two iced coffees a chocolate milk and sweet tea. The water came then 10 minutes later one cortado and one iced coffee came. The about 8 min later the chocolate milk abd ice tea followed by the last ice coffee and my cortado as well. What I witnessed was people coming in to order drinks from the person making coffees and then waiters and waitresses putting orders in so they would bounce between people ordering just a drink and people dining in for breakfast This is not a fluid concept and if that is not what is suppose to take place it is what I physically saw causing delays in drinks to people's tables and servers. We ordered a variety of items but it was a small type of breakfast items. The food came out about 35 minutes into service. The kids pancakes were done well and the chicken salad sandwich was fresh, the broccoli chedder soup was good as well. I had a platter with smothered hash browns, ham, 2 eggs and a biscuit and gravy due to the hype for the homemade biscuits. My eggs had three instead of two on the account one broke and they cooked another to put on top of the broken one. The hash browns had a burned edge and then raw middle so to high heat i guess the worst thing was waiting for the food and then main star the biscuit and gravy came out. They lost me fully with the biscuit and gravy. The gravy was cold and the biscuit during my second bite tasted too raw upon using my butter knife to cut the biscuit in half it slid out raw with batter from the under done biscuit. Being a foodie this broke my heart - she asked me if I would like a whole new biscuit I said no thank you. Upon further request if everything was fine they still insisted on bringing another one to try. That biscuit did have a flaky buttery top half with hot gravy almost redemption worthy then I took a bite from the other bottom half and it was raw so I gave up. The ham was tasting off so I did not finish it to follow my own instinct. Now I paid for everything they had offered to take it off my bill however I came for the full real experience of this place and declined. This is still worth going too and trying my experience though is mine and mine alone which has made me consider other options in the area moving forward. I appreciate the time and effort the cooks and staff made.

There were 4 of us, we entered bldg to find a waiting line. No big deal, it honestly didn't take long to get seated. We were waited on promptly and our server was good. I wanted to try a waffle, others in the group had pancakes. I ordered hot tea to drink and the hot water came in one of those little metal pitchers. Drinks came quickly and so did the food for as crowded as the place was. The food was good, kids enjoyed their pancakes. My waffle was really good, crunchy outside and chewy inside. When our food was brought our server also refilled drinks. He brought a larger insulated pitcher with more hot water for my tea. I appreciated that, until I used some of the water. One could tell they also used it for coffee, and therefore my hot tea tasted not good, I could pick up the coffee flavor. It was a good breakfast all in all. Portions were good size. Now, I would like to address owners/mgmt. Please do not state, in many places on your menu, that warm MAPLE syrup is served with your menu options. It was warm, but please change the wording to "pancake syrup", for that's what it was, plain old pancake syrup. No maple flavor in it whatsoever, not even yucky imitation maple flavoring. I would come back in the future and would recommend this restaurant to folks. But next time I'll get Biscuits and Gravy

I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced.
