On our round trip through the western USA we spent the night in Desert Springs. Due to the Yelp feedback we turned our back on the steak house next to our hotel and headed directly to Billy Q's. The restaurant is equipped with a remarkable number of TVs showing sports events. We were welcomed by a very considerate employee. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, my wife a pizza. The sandwich was very delicious especially because of the spicy herbs and fresh vegetables. The sandwich was cut in two halves - my mouth was watering even bevor the first bite. The Fries were super crispy which I have rarely encountered before. The employees were very polite and caring including Billy himself. We loved it. read more

I would say this place was just alright. The pizza was very fresh and crispy however it was extremely greasy! The nachos were not good. A very white washed Version of nachos. Antipasto salad was ok. The dressing was way overly seasoned! I would much rather go to upper crust pizza then back here. Like I said.. wasn't bad.. just ok. Fairly priced. read more

It's Ok pizza if you like very thin pizza. It's way too expensive and I prefer the fire oven pizzas. I do however like their wings but you have to order them "naked" sauce on side. Their sandwiches are mediocre again way over priced. read more

Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago with my husband and 2 year old son and it was so great! Our service was so friendly and attentive- couldn't ask for more! The beers were nice and cold and pizzas were so piping hot and perfectly crispy yet soft! We loved the sourdough crust! Definitely recommend! We are looking for add to brining our family in! Ordered food to go (pizza and wings) and was told 20 - 25 minutes which was correct! Weird thing... the guy at the counter asked me if I was picking up and what my name was. That was the end of any conversation. He ran my card, handed it to me to sign and set the food on the counter. No "thank you," or offer of napkins, etc. The pizza was good but not great. The wings were fine. Pizzas are pretty much a dime a dozen in this town so I would probably be inclined to try elsewhere next time. read more

This joint is bomb! The pizza is so good! So much flavor! We ordered three pies; pepperoni (hardly any grease at all and loaded and layered with toppings), the BBQ chicken (minus the cilantro and carrots *kids), and the Scooters Jalapeño Popper. Five of us eating; 2 adults three teenagers, 2 large and 1 medium and we dang near finished it all. Bomb! So good! We will have to come back to try some of the other menu items because the salads look big and amazing and the pasta surely must be as good. The place was hopping. It was a Saturday night around 6ish and the restaurant is on the small side. They have a process for seating folks when it's busy like that, though it's not posted (or at least we didn't see it). The staff is aware of who has come in and in what order and they are on top of the tables once the guests have left. They get them cleared and the next party seated right away. It seems a bit over whelming when you first walk in if you aren't expecting it but the staff is super friendly and they do a good job of moving things along with out making you feel rushed. We will definitely be back. Prices are good, they aren't stingy on the toppings, the staff is super friendly; the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the size of the establishment doesn't fit their popularity and some of their guests seemed a bit "upitty" because people were standing near their table while they were eating. It was 45 degrees and raining outside, not sure what else we were supposed to do, I finally stood outside in the rain to avoid the awkwardness. read more

Always a great place for take out or outdoor dining (limited seating due to Covid) food is generous and delicious! Great salad selections with their Cobb, Caesar and Laura's salad particular favorites. Delicious pizza with their vegetarian/vegetable pizza with either traditional red sauce or their garlic sauce our favorite as it is heaped with veggies. Some nights they get really busy so best to phone in your order. Enjoy some great eating! read more

I went into Billy Q to get a take out order. When I arrived there were 4 people sitting at a table, within 2 feet of each other, and no one was wearing a mask. When I got home I through my pizza in the trash to error on the side of caution. I called the manager and complained about people sitting on his patio, no masks 2 feet from each other (and by the way none of them were eating.) Here is his brilliant answer. We dont like people to sit out here but what can we do.... Folks, Pizza from this place isnt worth your life. Be cautious. There are many good pizza places. read more

The two stars are for friendly and quick service. The garlic bread was cheese melted on cheap bread. Not much flavor. The BBQ chicken pizza was odd. Shredded carrots underneath the sauce/cheese. I'm not opposed to carrots, but it didn't add much to the pizza except an unpleasant crunch in every bite. The crust, though, was the worst! It was like a thick cracker. I've had a slew of visitors in town this month, so we've tried a million new places together. Billy Q's the most recent. This is hands down the best pie I've had this side of the Hudson. Crust - flawless with a bit of crunch Sauce - not too acidic and not too bland or sweet...Goldilocks! Toppings - Jesus H. they pile em High! In short, the flavor was so incredible that I only needed to eat a couple of slices to sate my pizza craving (instead of a whole pie and STILL leave unsatisfied as with other places). Any more would've been vulgar indulgence (which could wait 'til I got the leftovers home) It was a little pricier than I like for Pizza, and clear the hell out on Cook and the 10, but the pizza was so good I'm not even going to dock em for that. Nice place walking distance from the Homewood Suites. CHICAGO themed pizza place with lots of TVs playing sports. The staff is friendly and upbeat. We ordered the Gorgonzola fries. These were home cut potatoes mixed like nachos. These were awesome. The pizza was tasty and hot with good flavor. Only negative is that I would have like to seems a pizza oven rather than the conveyor the bland pizza big chains use. Beer was nice and cold with a new glass for each round. Pizza is delicious here. Could not decide between the mac and cheese pizza and the works pizza so the staff offered to do a half and half. So glad we did because both were very good. My second visit consisted of a Cesar chicken sandwich and the four cheese ravioli plate. Not to thrilled with the ravioli's but sandwich was tasty. We came here twice while in Palm Dessert because my child liked their pizza so much! It's a bit on the pricier end for the size but it is so good ! I love Billy Q's pizza. Hands-down the beat I've had in the valley. BUT I am giving it only a 1 today after picking up my pizza yesterday to find that NONE of the employees were wearing masks! Politics aside, this is a safety issue. Restaurant owners and managers who don't mandate that employees wear masks during this age is wildly irresponsible to patrons. .At the Billy Q's in Del Webb, when I was there a couple months ago, they all wore masks. But not at the one on Cook last night. What gives? read more
