I came for the boudin balls and chicken cracklin and OMG! This was my first time eating boudin and chicken cracklin and it was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned. The crawfish rollup was just okay. I hate I didn't get to stop by before I left town. Great customer service, clean with a nice selection of prepackaged foods, and very reasonable prices.

The best cracklins I have ever had! Hot and seasoned to perfection! The inside is sort of like a gas station, but they have a hot food section that takes up half the store. You can order Boudin, sausages, cracklings, and other fried items that are hot and made fresh. They also have the option to buy refrigerated Game meats and sausages. The bathrooms are immaculately clean, and they even have an animatronic show above the soda refrigerators. Service was friendly and very helpful, we had a lot of questions for it being our first time there.

We had to stop here and buy some stuff to take back home to California. My uncle loves this place. As a Creole I grew up eating all these foods, but not always easy to find in California. Bought a lot of boudin/boudain, tasso and sausage. Also bought some bbq sauce and some roux. Brought my family some stuff they've been missing, and was able to eat good and flavor their pots. The only thing I didn't care for was the roux, I was just trying it to see if it would be good cause we usually make our own from scratch. They have refrigerated, frozen and cooked foods. They have food cooked if you want to eat right away like boudain, boudain balls all kinds of different flavors, corn, cracklin seasoned or salted, crawfish pies, breakfast sausage biscuits, and more. They also sell all kinds of sauces, seasonings, hot sauces, and roux. This place is located at a gas station, it's clean too, it's a spot that you must stop at if you're Creole or Cajun, and even if you're not familiar with these foods you will like it, trust me.

Boudin Roll Ups shrimp flavored were a hit for my kids. Chicken Cracklins were my favorite! My husband got some Pepper Jack Boudin's, Seasoned Cracklings, and Pork Cracklins salted, he loved them all! Great pit stop for some snacks. Service was great too!

Holy crap, these are the best boudin balls I've ever had!! I thought I didn't really like boudin, but it turns out, I haven't been eating the right ones! I got a frozen 6 pack of boudin balls from Billy's as a souvenir from someone who drove by Lafayette. It says on the package that it costs $15. $2.50 per boudin ball is not bad at all, but on top of that, these boudin balls are big! About 2 inches in diameter each. The one I got has pork, liver, onions, rice, garlic, cheese, and a few other ingredients. (They may have other kinds.) The liver was surprising to see on the ingredients list because I don't usually enjoy liver, but I didn't taste anything I didn't like at all! They were SO DELICIOUS! The interior is packed full of savory meat seasoned to perfection. The exterior breading is super flavorful, a little bit spicy (as is the Cajun way), and fried already before frozen. So, the frozen aspect might throw you off, but you can thaw it in the microwave and then crisp it up in the oven! I promise, when you do it that way, it'll be like eating one that came fresh out of the fryer! Billy's needs to expand to New Orleans so badly!! I need a location I can get to without driving 2 hours!!

5 stars for the drive-thru and being clean! - jalapeño / crawfish balls are on point - $2.99 each - Love everything about this newer location - we came a little before closing , it was fresh. But some of the rice was a little hard

Given the popularity of the Scott location (#1), it makes sense that Billy's would open something up in Lafayette. Despite being around for the better part of the last year, it still feels new, complete with high ceilings, LCD menus, all at a gas station. More importantly: Is the food as good as the original location? The answer is a resounding yes. The boudin is incredibly addicting. Everything from the links to the balls is damn tasty. The pepper jack boudin balls are easily the winner, but I think the crawfish ones are definitely no slouch. It took me a while to enjoy the cracklins, mainly because of how crunchy they are. After a few munches of a dozen or so, I could start to see the appeal. One thing that people sleep on are the actual boudin links themselves. They have a whole refrigerated area of different variations, as well as hot and fresh ones available counterside. They make for an excellent meal, the perfect tailgate party snack, and complement the other foods quite well. I am never one to say no to their crawfish pies or their pistolettes. Service is good, they're quick to ring up orders and assemble food items at a quick pace. I am guessing they've dealt with lines and crowds before, so getting things out quickly is key. Prices are not all that cheap compared to the competition, but Billy's has earned their stripes with consistency and variety. Even though I'm rarely in Lafayette, Billy's will certainly be a must-go whenever I'm back in the area. I wish them lots of success and hope this location continues to give the Scott one some healthy competition. __________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/billys-boudin-and-cracklin-scott-scott

We had chicken and sausage gumbo, Pepper Jack boudin balls, bam bam gator bites and the blackened chicken pasta. The waiter this time was better than the waitress we had last time. He was very attentive and made sure we never had to ask for refills. The appetizers came out fairly normal time-wise I would say. The main portion took a little bit longer than what you're used to at a franchise restaurant but here that's perfectly fine as it's worth the couple extra minutes. The gumbo is perfect(I love when gumbo is not over complicated) I like to add a lil hot sauce to it and it's delicious... only thing is, while they already give generous portions... the cup and the bowl looked exactly the same except I think in the bowl they give you one extra scoop of rice... which would be just fine if it wasn't like $6 more. But still delicious nonetheless. The bam bam gator bites were really good and I highly recommend them. If you like bam bam shrimp you'll love these. The pepper jack boudin balls were good, nothing special but they were definitely worth the try. My co-worker had the blackened chicken pasta and when I asked him how it was he said "dude, it's really good!" lol. The building is pretty unique and they have some outside seating with a massive beautiful tree that over looks the restaurant and takes claim to some of the asphalt in the parking lot lol. But it's a great spot for birthdays, good lunch menu deals, casual date night or if you wanna blow some steam off, they have a little bar in the restaurant as well. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend. I'm from East Texas, so I'm no Cajun/Louisianan but they truly got some good grub here. I'll definitely be coming back several more times when I get the chances. I will warn you, I believe the food is freshly made so when it gets to the table, give it some time to cool off because it comes out HOT.

As I am someone who was in the restaurant when it happened…read more I just think it's funny how you aren't mentioning y'all came in as 6 people and then wanted accommodations for 30 people during one of the busiest times of the night. Or that they argued with the amazing manager for nearly an hour total after being told they couldn't accommodate that size party. They're also leaving out the part where people from their group marched in and seated themselves, stood over occupied tables waiting for guests to leave, insisting the hosts clean the tables, and made the entire restaurant uncomfortable. This had nothing to do with race and everything to do with behavior. Any group acting like that would've gotten the exact same response. In short, do better. Y'all came in and ruined everyone's dinner because y'all don't know how to plan ahead. Stop blaming people for your mistakes and take accountability.

This may have been part of the reason its wasn't all that busy on a Tuesday lunch. Similar to some other restaurants in Louisiana I've visited, they have a side with a bar, to-go area and high tops, and a more family oriented side of the restaurant with a bunch of low top tables. Fried pork rinds are served with every table. They have daily plate lunches and the one day I came it was chicken fried steak. However, it's not usually a good idea to order CFS outside of Texas in my experience. Therefore, I ended up ordering the catfish and shrimp platter, served grilled instead and added a $5 strawberry margarita. The entree comes with a side salad but they only have seelct dressings and none which I would typically order, so i just settled on honey mustard. Margarita- for only $5 it's not bad and comes with either sugar or salt rim Catfish and shrimp platter - seasoned with a blackened seasoning but it wasn't spicy. The catfish filet was small and tasted like it was previously frozen. The shrimp were also small and didn't taste much better. Not sure I'd return if ever in Lafayette, as I was really looking for a more festive environment and more grilled options.

We tried a few different bites, and everything was exactly what you want from a spot like this -- flavorful, fresh, and satisfying every single time. Food: The food is really the main attraction here. Nothing overly fancy or trying too hard, just consistently good food that delivers every time. Everything we tried was solid, and it's the kind of place where you already know you're leaving happy before you even order. Service: Service was smooth with no issues at all. The staff kept things moving, and the experience was easy from start to finish. Ambiance: Billy's has that classic Louisiana stop-through feel to it. Nothing extravagant, but it doesn't need to be.
