    Soft shell crab entree

This is a a really fun restaurant. The live music was amazing and the views are incredible. The crabby Mary was a super fun drink, definitely recommend especially if you like soft shell crabs. The Billy bucket was easily enough for two people and was great. Billy is a great guy, we will definitely be coming back on another day!

I discovered Billy's By the Bay last year after a camping weekend in Greenport (thanks to Google and whoever posted a photo of Crabby Mary ), and it is now one of my musta when I go to Greenport. I just love the Crabby Mary! Isn't it funny? Go to Billy's, sit outside by the bar, start your day with Mary, a lobster, live music, and the sea breeze! I promise you'll love it!

I spent the weekend in greenport for a wedding and ventured a little outside of town. I'm so glad I did !! Billy's on the bay was just what I needed to get away from the usual scene in greenport Great vibe, a fantastic band, the staff was amazing and GET THIS a 4 lb lobster cooked to perfection for only $80.00 which included four pieces of corn,Cole slaw and fries !!! It was heaven !!!

Went to Billy's by the Bay to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend. They had a live band and the place was crowded. I was directed to a table in the front which the busboy promptly cleaned. No wait staff ever appeared I went to the bar to purchase a beer. I received change for a $ 10. Only problem was I paid with a $20. I asked for a menu but it fell on deaf ears I enjoyed the Blue Moon as no one was interested in taking my order for food I left when the set was finished. I enjoyed the hot dog I ate at home.

Billy's is the kind of place where you can come as you are, plop down at the bar, and mix it up with the locals. I've been coming here for the past two years. It's quickly becoming a tradition. Our bartender, John, is an OG. He made us feel right at home, also breaking our balls just enough to keep us honest. The man has great stories and hilarious zingers. You can't beat the food. Fresh oysters, lobster, clams, blowfish. You name it, you'll scrump it. Don't forget to ask about the ice cream sandwiches (local secret).

Food and service was okay. Outside dining was on the water. Very casual. Seating was very tight but it was summertime.

The crabby Mary I had this afternoon was watered down. Was able to drink most of it. We were seated at a table that wasn't in full shade

What began as a tiny oyster shack quickly became a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, introducing countless people to the art of shucking and enjoying fresh local oysters. Over the years, a loyal community formed around their welcoming, family-like atmosphere and genuine "come as you are" attitude. The memories made there--and the children who grew up with this beloved seaside fixture as part of their lives--are truly impossible to quantify. Fortunately for all of us, Little Creek Oysters embarked on a new home that allowed them to continue their vision while expanding it in exciting ways. Their new location at 211 Carpenter Street offers an inventive menu, an exceptional selection of local seafood, and a beautifully curated modern-rustic seafaring aesthetic that feels both fresh and authentically North Fork. Today, guests can enjoy the experience across two floors, plus an inviting outdoor patio complete with fire pits, good company, and the unmistakable charm that made Little Creek special from the very beginning. No visit to Greenport is complete without rubbing elbows with local fishermen, residents, and visitors while enjoying some of the finest local oysters around. Little Creek Oysters captures the spirit of this waterfront village better than just about anywhere else--and that's what makes it such a special place.

Bought our dinner from here for the second time in two days (can you tell we're fans?) Yesterday, we ordered two 2 lb lobsters and 2lbs of Cod. For no extra charge you can get the lobster steamed and partially broken down (made easy for you to crack open and get down to business ty v much) Naturally, we opted for the pre-steamed/broken downfare and passed on the live option. I absolutely love lobster but I don't think I could ever cook (kill) one, myself tbh. This weekend, we were going to go into town for oysters and wine but upon yelping the prices (average price of $3/oyster aka yeah right. No thanks, buddy. When you can get great $1 oysters at many reputable NYC restaurants you find this to be lowkey insulting) we decided we should buy our own bottles and check out Alice's oyster offerings. Jot this down: most liquor stores in Greenport/Southold/Mattituck carry a variety of bottles from various north fork vineyards so wine not stock up. Of course, Alice's did not disappoint! They sell a dozen oysters for $12.50. So basically I could buy three dozen oysters (roughly) for the price of one dozen in town. If you give them an hours notice they'll even shuck them for you free of charge. Hosting an event? Alice's offer a raw bar party option where they'll set up a raw bar table and prepare the oysters/clams etc. in front of you at your event. So to sum up this super long review, Alice's is wonderful, attentive and of the highest quality. Go check them out on your visit to the North Fork

This two-story waterfront restaurant has all the bougie summer vibes (at least upstairs). Our group of five dined over oysters, steak and frites, watermelon salad... We went back for drinks, appetizers, and dinner this evening unfortunately, the dinner was more than disappointing the three halibut, strip steak cooked medium well , short rib, and mahi-mahi tacos were all overcooked and an not edible we waited an hour and a half for the dinner to come . When this issue was brought to the management staff Joey the GM was very lackluster in his approach in which to resolve the situation we weren't looking for a refund or for the bill to be taken care of, but for something or someone to be accountable. We didn't know that Joey was the GM. He didn't introduce himself as such. We thought he was part of the wait staff but again we weren't trying to complain, and when we did get his ear, he laughed it off and acted as though we were a bother instead of paying customers a terrible experience overall unfortunately.
