Clam strips, however, were barely there. The basket came with 4/5 fries and hardly any strips. You're better off ordering 2 app portions (no fries) for $20 and getting your money's worth that way. Great spot for a casual lunch or dinner by the water. They had great live music going & the place was pretty packed on a Saturday afternoon. 9/24/22: Afternoon: A group of us went to the Greenpoint Maritime Festival. We decided to find a place to have lunch. All the restaurants were packed. We managed to find out door seating at Crabby Jerry's. You order food at a window. Think the prices are overboard for the quality of food. We had ordered tortilla chips, clam strips, and Mahi Mahi tacos. Food was just fair. Live music is performed in the evening. That afternoon, you could hear live music from across the way at Claudios. Nice, outdoor seating and pet friendly. Parking is insane. Claudio's has 3 parts and the private parking in the back is packed. You have to stop at the attendant at the front of the spaces and pay them $10 to tell you where to park. The spot I got was tight but made it in. The food is excellent but very pricey. You're pretty much paying for the ambiance and seafood. All reasonable, in my opinion. My husband and I ordered: - 2 orders of fish and chips - 1 order lobster roll - dozen clams That was a whopping $110. This did NOT include the drinks we ordered. My parents ordered: - shrimp cocktail - 2 clam chowders - half dozen mussels - half dozen (cooked) clams - 1 lobster roll Their order was also $110, not including drinks. We just wanted to have a good time with great food. That's what we got. So it was definitely worth it. You order at a window and they give you a pager. When it goes off, you pick up at the window. Came here after a couple of beers at Greenport Harbor and had a nice seat outside under the tent-like structure on the pier. This is the type of place where you place your order at the window and then get a buzzer so you can pick up your food when it's ready. We picked a table, checked out the menu and then I went up to order. It's fresh seafood so it's not cheap, but it was sure good. We had shrimp two ways (fried and boiled) and then each had a hot lobster roll. Shrimp was great and the portion sizes were good. The lobster roll was really great! Fried shrimp came with french fries, which were just so-so. The view and the ambiance were great. We were in the shade so even on a warm day, we were comfortable as there was a nice breeze off the water. A Rolling Stones cover band was jamming next door at Claudio's and we were able to enjoy that as well. This outdoor restaurant offers beautiful water views, shade from the sun and summer breezes while you eat. You order and pickup at the counter. Usually packed and hard to find a seat. The food was ok. I ordered the seafood platter - some of the food was unrecognizable after the deep fry - for example I couldn't tell you if I was eating popcorn shrimp or fried clam. I may have just ordered the wrong thing. My table mates looked like they enjoyed their meals and had better food. A tiny can of water for $4 seems a bit much, but I do appreciate the recycling factor and not adding more plastic to our earth/ocean. Tables could use a bit of cleaning and service could be warmer and friendlier. I guess order anything but the seafood platter or other deep fried stuff. read more

Beautiful views from this outdoor, order at the counter place. Not cheap and no service as you pick up your order yourself. I ordered a mahi mahi wrap and it was a bit on the bland side. My creamsicle alcoholic drink was less than frozen and didn't taste of much alcohol. The best part of the meal is definitely the views of the marina. You come here to grab drinks while waiting for a table at Claudio's or if you don't want a wait long for a table at Claudio's. Both businesses are owned by the same establishment. Same menu for the most part, but Claudio's offers a wider array of entries that Crabby Jerry's doesn't. Claudio's is also more of a resteraunt environment and feeling, while Crabby Jerries is more of a bar feeling and environment. You pick your table and order your food and drinks. The view is super dope and the atmosphere is amazing. Boats docking like cars at drive thru lol. Great spot and scenery to switch up and enjoy yourself in the summer. Drinks are mediocre, so don't expect nothing fancy lol. Overall, great spot to hang out and grab drinks with friends. It has that city island feeling in the Bronx, but with that Long Island feeling. If you don't want a wait a hour wait time to get in claudios and just want a grab drink and appetizers I would recommend Crabby Jerry's. read more

I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 5 people. I originally wanted to eat at Claudio's Waterfront next door but the wait for a table was an hour so decided to come here. I'm actually glad we did because it was less crowded and the tables were more spread out (social distancing due to COVID-19 times). There was no wait for a table here. You order at the window in the front and they call you when your order is ready to pick it up. We all ordered lobster rolls. The lobster roll had a good amount of lobster in them and the lobster tasted fresh. It came with pickles, coleslaw, and a bag of chips. The bathroom was not clean though and during COVID-19 times, all places need to be clean. It was still really nice to eat on the pier over looking the water on a hot summer day though. I still prefer Claudio's but this place will do if there's a long wait. read more

The food and drink was yummy, but the price was hefty. The whole restaurant is right on the water. We sat at the bar, which was crowded but since it was lunch a relatively quiet and enjoyable crowd. My main complaint was the volume of ice in the drink. I got the fishbowl which was really just an odd shaped glass no bigger than usual, and overflowing with ice. I know drinks are pricier out east but this was just frustrating to look at them upcharging for your expectation of a bigger drink and getting the same. Good tasted good at least! Food was not bad and I did not have a problem with the pricing considering Greenport is a resort town and I would expect to pay a bit more. What percent exactly would one expect you to tip considering you walk up to a window to order your food and then come back when your buzzer goes off to pick up your food once it is ready? When I ordered and was presented the bill to pay with my credit card, the lowest suggested pre-calculated tip was 18%. I foolishly chose this option instead of a customized tip for whatever amount I deemed appropriate. Won't make that mistake again. I would think a 10% tip (at most) would be appropriate. 4 out of the 5 entrees that I ordered were missing either the cole slaw or chips that they were supposed to come with. That's what happens when it appears that most of your staff appear to be teenagers who could probably care less. read more

They wait at Claudio's Clam Bar was too long, so we went across the way to Crabby Jerry's instead. The tragedy is that by the time we walked all the way around the dock to get there, our table at the Clam Bar was ready. Oh well. Crabby Jerry's is way more low key. It's fast casual - you order/pay at the front, then grab a table. You can go to the bar in the middle for some drinks under a separate tab. Their menu is pretty extensive, and they've even got dishes for non-seafood eaters. My brother-in-law and I both got the tempura crab po boy. He didn't want spicy mayo on his, but I did. We made sure to tell them this. Then when we got our sandwiches, his had two bottom buns, and mine had two top buns. Took us a while to figure out that they messed up the order and instead of redoing the sandwiches, they just swapped out the top buns. Which meant I ended up with twice as much mayo, and he had to eat two bottom buns. Not a good look. The rest of the food was okay. The fried seafood platter was more quantity than quality. The fries were also meh. The oysters, however, were very good, especially the sweet slushy mignonette. The mussels marinara were also acceptable. The drinks at the bar were also stiff as all hell. They had frozen drinks (a Dark N Stormy, and a Strawberry Fro-Groni), and both were suuuuper strong. My sister had to water down her Dark N Stormy. I got a rum punch, and it was delicious. A bit strong, a bit sweet. But it got the job done. Definitely not the best seafood I've had, but it gets the job done. We came here mainly for the view and to satisfy a fried clams craving. This is an order-at-the-counter, go-find-a-seat-on-your-own and we'll-call-your-number kind of place. But the line to place your order moves at a snail's pace, and I can't understand why. It's a limited menu after all, what can be so complicated? On this particular summer Saturday, it was overcrowded and overrun with tourists, and noisy from the cigarette boats docked alongside with motors left running, which detracted from the overall experience. I waited about 25 minutes in line to order, and in another 10 minutes, our number was finally called. The food, unfortunately is pretty low quality...mostly fried and not very tasty. The lobster roll is skimpy, the bun isn't toasted and it's not quality lobster meat. The clam strips are dense and rubbery. And the value: way overpriced for everything especially the lobster roll ($24.00?!). Also note, I am guessing the deep fryer hasn't been cleaned in a while: we both got a sour stomach after eating here. Maybe it was the clams. So, would I ever go back? No. Not for a meal. Not ever. Maybe it would be a more pleasant experience during the week or shoulder seasons for a drink at the bar only. The waterfront ambiance is very nice. read more

The seafood tower was great it wasn't a tower at all it was on one dish. For the price 60$ it was a decent size. A whole lobster , 6 clams, 6 oysters, 15 shrimp and tuna tartare. I would get this again. We've been here before and we enjoy it every time we come back. read more

Crabby Jerry makes a Crabby Frankie. Prices are high for mediocre and small portioned food. I spent $42 for fried Calamari, fish sandwich, ice coffee and Ice tea for lunch. The restaurant is nice looking, they cleaned up the old Crabby with new seating and tables and vinyl flooring on the dock which is nice but I do miss the ratty looking, old fashioned, a bit dirty venue. At least the food back then was good and prices reasonable. They do have outstanding views so if you go for a drink and a pretzel it won't break the bank and you get to enjoy the view. If the new owners step it up and improve the quality of the food then I may try them out again but there are too many quality restaurants in Greenport so they better hurry up and make some changes. read more

My crews foray into Greenport ended here but our experience was so stellar we wished we had started here too!
