It makes me super sad to give Billy's a low rating because when I first went there months ago it was super great. Each time I've gone back though, the portions have gotten smaller. The corned beef hash is delicious, but there was barely any meat this last time which is frustrating when you're paying 13 bucks for basically potatoes and toast. Nice, clean little place in Burlington. The food is fantastic! I had the steak skillet. Nicely done guys. Steak was tender, juicy and the presentation was very cool. Enjoyed talking with Chef Ron. We both have the same philosophy: if you need a can opener, it's not worth eating. The country gravy is superb. Since the skillet was so tasty, I broke open my new bottle of Carolina Reaper and gave it a try. Wow! You guys have to be good to get me to try a new spice on your food. I don't waste it on bad food. I walked in at the end of a mini rush so service was a bit slow but the waiter was very friendly and helpful. I had the Breakfast Burrito without the sausage and bacon. I believe this used to be The Blueberry Cafe. If you are looking for a very warm and friendly quiet place to take your family for a delicious breakfast, this is a great choice. The people are extremely nice and welcoming--even to our slightly rambunctious toddler! The coffee was hot and strong, and the food was delivered timely and very, very good. Oh my, this was the best mothers day lunch I could have had. I got eggs benidict and it was mouth watering. Hubby got country Benny and we have now realized this place tops our old favorite breakfast place. Cobb salad is best I've ever tasted. The way they prepared the chicken was marvelous and the primary reason it was so memorable. The chicken complimented the heaps of veggies,bacon and cheese. I only know this because my boyfriend let me try a bite of his salad... Happy 1 year anniversary!!! The food was super delicious!!!! Will definitely stop again when in the area. The homemade Marion berry jam rocked as did the coffee and bacon! My husband had the Belgian waffle and said it was really good. As a side note: The menu says waffles (plural) but it's really only 1 waffle so if you're hungry order 2, you won't be disappointed! :) The service was good too for how busy they were and the chef came out to check on everyone which you rarely see anymore. Normally when my wife and I have a bad meal/experience at a restaurant we just never return. Having said this, I am making an exception for Billy's Cafe. We sat down, and finally received coffee and menus from a nice young man. We were told Alli would be our server and would be with us shortly. Alli walked past our table numerous times, not once acknowledging us. A full cup of coffee, and half a glass of water later, Alli finally graced us with her presence. Alli was was extremely cold while taking our order. Alli brought us more coffee, the dregs of the pot produced about 3/4 of a cup in my mug, and a half a cup in my wife's mug. The food was not bad, I will call it mediocre. After delivering our meals, Alli never returned to see if we needed anything........more coffee would have been nice! Every other person or group entering the cafe was greeted by Alli, we seemed to be the exception. My wife and I are not demanding people. We say please, thank you, we are well groomed, we look others in the eye and smile. This was an extremely disappointing breakfast experience for us. If you are driving east on Fairhaven to get to Billy's, drive the extra 2 blocks to The Train Wreck where you will get great service and outstanding food. read more

Had a great brunch this morning on the way to the Anacortes ferry. Thanks Yelp! I had the special - marionberry cream cheese stuffed French toast - and she had the eggs Benedict. The French toast and bacon were cooked just right, and her bennies were the best I've had in a LONG time. The ham was perfectly sliced (not tough like some restaurants) and the hollandaise seemed freshly made from scratch. Delicious, generous portions for under $25 for two. We found this place on Facebook and decided to drop in on our way fishing. So worth it. We arrived to their clean and fun establishment with four hungry kids ready for breakfast. Service was fast friendly and the food was some of the best breakfast I have had made for me. When we got trapped in by the trail they gave me a refill in my own cup from the car. Let my kids play with their treasure box while the repairs were done to the track. The staff is friendly. We were well fed and headed off for some Mother's Day fishing! read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had... the waitress was very rude kept talking to other customers that she practically forgot about us! We had to ask for refills (like flag her down) she took our order and I asked for my gravy to be on the side ordered a steak it came with no gravy and no steak sauce. We read rave reviews! I don't understand how a so-called breakfast place can't get eggs right. Everybody makes mistakes, so I tried it a couple more times. Twice my "Over Medium" eggs were very undercooked. My last time in there, and I do mean my very last time, I ordered them scrambled, and even the waitress said "Those eggs don't look very good, would you like me to send them back"? I never send back food for obvious reasons, and I tried them anyway and they were terrible. How can you screw up scrambled eggs? I don't know either, but they did.
