Cinnamon roll pancakes
Steve B.

Stopped here on our way home and walked in, greeted promptly by someone and they let us know it would be just a minute. Place was busy so to me that is always a good sign. We were seated and brought menus to look at. I got the cinnamon roll pancakes since that sounded good and unique. They were delicious!! Thanks for a great lunch!!!

Headed out for another adventure over the Labor Day weekend, thought we would head out to a new place for breakfast. Stumbled into Billy's. The food was amazing and definitely filling. The cook was spot on and a fabulous flavor. Note, the portions were so large the wife and I shared and could finish. We will definitely be back with the kids.

Super kid friendly place with big portions! When you order from a kids menu, they let the kid pick a toy from their treasure chest. And there's also some magnet tiles to play with. It's a very chill place, with friendly staff and nice food. My only complaint is that the skillet dish I ordered was a bit too salty for me.

A great place for breakfast. 30 min wait on a Saturday morning so we looked over the menu. They have a ton of breakfast and lunch items available. We started with a bowl of clam chowder. Lots of clams and oh so good. My corned beef hash skillet was the best I've ever had. The corned beef hash was tasty and not greasy, the potatoes crisp and flavored just right and perfect over easy eggs. Made is easy to mix it all together, which is how I like it. Wife had the cinnamon french toast so light and airy. Cash (or Venmo) only. Super nice servers. If I lived closer would be here every morning.

Community minded diner, lots of opportunities to give to community in need. Food was great, overly generous portions.

We went here before our hike to have some breakfast . Our server Shelby was extremely polite and kind . The ambiance was very pleasant. We had omelettes and sandwich and it was delicious . The hot chocolate serving was very big but was delicious hot and warm . Perfect for the rainy day .

The food at Billy's Café is always a tasty treat. They have wonderful servers there who are very attentive to all your needs. You never have to wait to get your coffee cup filled. I like the cozy ambience and the comfortable vibe of the restaurant.

Yes it is hanging off the end of a platter, not just a round plate. You get your $ worth here.

Billy doesn't play. My Country Fried Steak and eggs was ENORMOUS! Hash-browns were cooked perfectly all and all a great breakfast with a very down to earth atmosphere. Just make sure you bring cash.

Service, service, service!! Let me say it loud and clear.... SERVICE!!! When the entire staff of a restaurant is present, connected, participating and involved it shows and we are paying attention! Matter of fact, we love the attention! The entire staff was funny, friendly and attentive to each and every customer. The food is amazing cafe food served hot and fast! The portions are huge so come hungry or have room in the fridge for some great leftovers! The Chicken Fried Steak and CFS Burrito will definitely feed two folks each, as will a whole lot of other menu items! The servers need to be body builders to carry some of those loads!! Hubby had the Chicken Fried Steak and could only eat half! I had a few bites to help him out and it was delicious, just as important, the gravy was seasoned and had a real good texture. Our adult daughter had the breakfast burrito and had to take half of it home! I had a "normal" breakfast and it was all cooked to perfect order including the eggs and hashbrowns extra crispy! Billy's is the #1 rated breakfast place in Sedro-Woolley for a few reasons, the top two being the service and portions of delicious food! I highly recommend a visit and will definitely be back when in the area!

Greasy spoon for locals with hearty portions of down-home basics. Service is friendly and helpful. More of a diner type vibe.

Really great place for breakfast. Next time you're on your way to the San Juan Islands, make time and visit. Bring cash but it appears they also accept Venmo. You might want to call and verify. Delicious food served by happy passionate people - it doesn't get better than this! The bacon was phenomenal - thick, crispy and tasty. The sausages were perfectly grilled , savory and juicy.

Really super breakfast at Billy's in downtown Burlington. The chicken fried steak was a lot of food and really tasty comfort food at that.

Ask the Community - Billy's Cafe

Is Billy's permanently closed? The last few times we've gone by it looks like no one is around.

No. They close at 2pm daily so if you've been driving by after that, it'll look empty.

Our waitress was timely and very friendly. Very informative on any menu questions we had. Our food was very good! I had the carnivore plate, and my girlfriend had the bruschetta. Both were very good! This is the second place I've been to recently that has had carnivore options on their menu. Their drink menu is very extensive, they have a great tap list, and a great mocktail list. The only reason they are getting a 4 instead of a 5 is that they were out of several of the ingredients to make their mocktails they had listed on their menu and we went their specifically for the mocktail menu because my girlfriend can not have alcohol at this time. Great place, great food, and great service though.

I really wanted to like this place :(…read more We waited 30 minutes for our table (which is totally fine) but once seated, waited for our drinks, had to flag down a server to receive our order, and then waited another 30 to get the food. Sadly, the food was mediocre, at best. I imagine, as a business, they're also wasting so much money on portion sizes. Huge meals do not equate to quality. I really wanted to love it because it's a family restaurant but there was a lot left to be desired. Cons: - The majority of our experience was spent waiting - The staff seemed confused and very overwhelmed - The food was boring and didn't look good on the plate (I got the biscuits and gravy, my friend got chicken fried steak) Pros: - The staff was very friendly - Bathroom was clean - The freshly squeezed orange juice was incredible - Everyone seemed to be trying their best, I think the system just needs a lot of work

Once at the table we got our coffee & placed our order then waited, and waited and waited some more. It's a small kitchen & in addition to dine in service they were pumping out a lot of to go orders. Hopefully the wait for food at the table isn't as long normally because if it is that's ridiculous. 2 coffees & a switch to water later our food finally arrived. Generous portion of potatoes, the corn beef was delicious and of course the biscuits was massive!

Calico Cupboard is one of those places that you NEED to go to when you're in town…read more When you get there, you just sign in yourself at the stand which is a good system so no one has to check you in when they're already pretty busy. While you're waiting you can go to the shop down the stairs or go to the dessert area right next to the waiting area to get some great desserts. Last time i was there I saw frosted cream cheese sugar cookies, and pies, and more. When you get seated there are so many great food options, lots of options, same with drinks. They are only open until 3:30 pm so be sure to manage time well. And don't expect an empty place, it's usually populated. Tight space, so scoot in those chairs as far as you can. Staff were laid back, and nice. When they're busy make sure to be patient with the staff, they're dealing with tons of other orders as well.

We had breakfast there last Wednesday morning, and from the moment we arrived, it felt special. The outside is adorable, but somehow the inside is even more charming. There's such a warm, welcoming energy the second you walk in. Off to the side is their incredible shop, "Re-Feather Your Nest," filled with thousands of unique and beautiful items--it honestly feels like a destination all on its own. To the left when you enter, you're greeted by their bakery cases, and wow--there are more options than most bakeries I've ever seen. Everything looked amazing, and we were lucky enough to be seated right away (always a win!). The restaurant itself is two stories, and our table overlooked the store below, which made the whole experience even more fun. We started with their famous cinnamon roll, fresh coffee (with the cutest little design on top!), and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice--which was incredibly refreshing. For breakfast, I ordered the Calico Benedict on a homemade English muffin with corned beef--so good! And the country-style potatoes? Easily some of the best I've ever had. I couldn't even finish them and happily took the rest home...they were just as delicious the next day. My husband ordered the Breakfast Sampler with sausage and loved every bite as well. What really stood out, beyond the food, was how clean everything was and how genuinely happy the staff seemed. You can tell they enjoy working there, and that makes such a difference. After breakfast, we wandered through the gift shop and found so many unique treasures--big and small. I actually visited Magnolia in Waco, Texas a couple of months ago, and honestly, this is the kind of charming, personality-filled place that would fit right in there (and maybe even outshine it!). If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by--even if it's just to browse the shop. It's one of those rare places that truly has it all. A must-visit!
