    3. Spicy Burrito

The food price is fair but their gyro / chicken souvlaki was very bland... Saw the rice go into a microwave. But their cheaper burrito and breakfast lunch deals aren't too bad. Service was prompt. Ambiance is small and like a mom and dad deli. Not a place to bring big parties in to eat. More of a quick bite place

I needed to order food quickly and I saw Billy's super close to my house! The food was so great! I was super happy and dying of hunger so this place hit the spot. This shall be my new spot for quick food.

Billy's Deli/Cafe is located right down the street so I thought I'd give it a try after work today. I'm so glad I did. It was fantastic! I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Pita Wrap with a side of french fries (and they surprised me with two cookies for dessert)! The pita dish was so flavorful! I did an online order which was ready in about 15 minutes. I will definitely be coming back to try more things from this place. Thank you!

Second time here. Place is not bad. 4 stars is about right. The steak n cheese is about 8 of 10. Lot of steak on it. Onion rings are not bad. Want to try the breakfast burrito next.

First of all, Yelp has their hours wrong. It says they open at 10:30, but they were open at 9:45 when I walked in. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito, and an orange juice. The good: One burrito was a little too much to finish, and the total price was $9.90. These days, if you can get full and have a drink for under $10, that's pretty good. They also make it fresh, so (unlike Laredo Taco, Sheets, and Wawa) it's not dry at all. Finally, they gave me a slightly larger than average container of hot sauce. So I didn't run out when I was halfway through eating. The bad: Even though it was fresh, it was not very flavorful. It definitely wasn't bad, just too bland for my liking. If you're a fan of Anita's breakfast burritos, this place will definitely not convert you. Also (maybe this is a nit-pick), they had just stocked the cooler. They stuffed all the new warm drinks in the front, making me have to dig to the back to get a cold one. As someone who used to work for a major beverage company, that is the exact opposite of how you stock a cooler. Old and cold in the front, new and warm in the back. That's cooler stocking 101. You would be written up if you were caught doing it so lazily. The ugly: My chorizo burrito didn't have any chorizo. Instead, it had what I'm almost certain were pieces of hot dog (I'm including a pic). If that's not a hot dog, then that's the most flavorless piece of sausage ever made. If I ordered a hot dog, and was served that, I wouldn't think anything was off. Regardless, it was absolutely NOT chorizo. I'm giving them 3 stars, because I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they heard me wrong. None of the other reviews mention this, and I seriously doubt that that would be the case, if this was the standard practice. But if I ever go back, and get another "chorizo" with hot dog instead, I'm going to delete this review and replace it with two1 star reviews.

Steak and cheese burrito without potatoes. It was very good. I don't recommend the cold salsa. Taste good with ketchup.

There are menu boards, and ordering can be completed via one of the multiple tablet-like devices or with a person at the register. We had the chicken salad sandwich on sourdough -- Fantastic Recipe, Fantastic Flavor!!! Tuna salad on multi grain, and a turkey sandwich on multigrain -- both were also delicious. The inside is small with maybe 4 tables (sets) that were all occupied when we arrived, but luckily by the time our food was ready, a few tables cleared and we grabbed one. Note: there is outside seating also. Would definitely return here for a great, nutritious lunch.

This was no ordinary wrap, and it had twice the amount of veggies that what you find in ordinary wraps. I also ordered the Nobadeer sandwich for dinner later tonight and it's one of the healthiest sandwiches on the face of the planet. The roasted turkey isn't processed, and it's topped with an interesting cranberry sauce and mayonnaise. I was able to order fast, and I found a spot outside on one of their picnic tables to eat my lunch. Despite the chilly weather, it was quite peaceful.

Anyone who remembers this place from years ago remembers taking a number, waiting in line, and getting one of the best made-to-order subs in the region? The sandwiches were worth the wait. Maybe the parents moved back to Italia and the kids got stuck with the greedy landlord. Now its just a lazy we don't care overpriced landlord run revenue generator. 6 years after COVID and the subs are still pre-made dying in over stacked pile on the counter. The rolls are often soggy by the time they reach the customer, and the fillings are so thinly layered that each bite feels more like bread sandwich with some after thought what's inside. It screams KEEP THE COST DOWN. What was once a destination deli now feels like a place that's simply too tired to care. The decline reminds me of when DC bartenders traded free pours for jiggers. Less booze, higher prices, and a straight face while handing it to you 30 minutes later with a clever name like Adam's Apple. Same business model here. Less meat, more bread, and somehow we're all expected to clap. The saddest part is that it's still busy, largely because there are fewer and fewer alternatives. The independent mom-and-pop shops that gave this area character have been pushed out, and we're left with a shell of what this place used to be. At this point, I've had fresher and better-constructed subs from Harris Teeter. That's not meant as a compliment. When customers start comparing a legendary deli to a grocery store sandwich counter--and the grocery store holds its own--it's probably time for some serious soul-searching. Nostalgia can only carry a business so far. Unfortunately, the sandwich I had was living almost entirely on memories.
