Today was my first time here, and initially I was in the mood for one of their gourmet salads. After over-thinking the options, I opted for one of the chicken caesar wraps. This was no ordinary wrap, and it had twice the amount of veggies that what you find in ordinary wraps. I also ordered the Nobadeer sandwich for dinner later tonight and it's one of the healthiest sandwiches on the face of the planet. The roasted turkey isn't processed, and it's topped with an interesting cranberry sauce and mayonnaise. I was able to order fast, and I found a spot outside on one of their picnic tables to eat my lunch. Despite the chilly weather, it was quite peaceful.

I'm a longtime customer, but I was disappointed in the Alter rock salad the other day. It says roasted turkey, but unlike the unprocessed turkey that I have appreciated in their Nobadeer sandwich, the salad had that compressed processed turkey. I avoid processed deli meat and wouldn't have ordered it if I'd known. The bacon wasn't crispy and the blue cheese "crumbles" were way too big, about the size of a large marble. And the herb croutons seemed to be plain bread, no herbs apparently. I was going to opt out, but thought herbed might be good. Paid about $22 for the salad, a fountain drink, and a small bag of chips. You can do a lot better.

I went to the Bethesda location today and ordered lunch to go, cup of crab soup and a cheese steak. Cheesesteak was bomb. Cheese perfectly melted, high quality ribeye. I scarfed half of it down before I remembered to take the picture. Crab soup was a bit disappointing. The flavor of it was really good. It was definitely lacking on the crab, though. It was like they just picked up the pot and whispered "crab" at it ‍ Would definitely go back and get another cheesesteak. Restaurant was clean and orderly, staff was friendly. Make sure you have your card on you because they don't take cash.

Sorry, not sorry, but this place is not it. Considered a loved local sandwich chain, Jetties boasts in having the 'best sandwiches in DC' - I was in the area, so I decided to go there during the lunch rush to grab a sandwich to go. I ordered: +the Nobadeer - a sandwich filled with roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo on a sourdough bread +made this a combo, so I got the Cape Cod chips and a canned soda The sandwich was just awful. The sourdough 'bread' was extremely stale and dry; not sure how this was even possible, as it was the lunch rush and you'd think that the items that are being turned out will be fresh? The 'roasted turkey' slices were dried out, and I was surprised that the description didn't say 'jerky' instead - these seemed to be not fresh or maybe not sealed well when placed in the fridge, as the edges of the 'meat' were hard and chewy. The stuffing was bland and a bit too mushy, and the cranberry with the mayo made the sandwich a little runny, which results in some parts of the bread becoming a bit too soggy (to the point it made holes in the parchment that was being used to wrap the sandwich). The prices for the sandwiches are on the steep end, but if the quality matched the cost, it would have been a different situation. If you order a combo, make sure you pick up the drink/chips on your own. You'll have to order via the 3 kiosks that are available, and then you just wait for your check number to be called. Items will be set on the counter. There are some seating inside as well as some tables for al fresco dining. There's limited restricted street parking available around the area. Really not sure where all these positive reviews are coming from, but seems a little sus. Probably one of the worst sandwiches I've had. No dice, Jetties. +stale, dried-out bread +old, dried-out deli meats +bland ingredients +limited restricted street parking available

I was at this place with few of my pickleball buddies. It was recommended by one of them as it's their usual sandwich place after a nice game of pickleball. It's a self serve type of restaurant. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with pickles. It was very delicious. Quantity is not much, but perfect for the price I paid. It was very juicy and the meat was very tender and flavorful. Since it's self serve place, there's not much to talk about their service. Ambiance is great. It's a combination of indoor and outdoor place. Nice outdoor patio was just perfect on a nice day. I ordered sorbet for the dessert. It was very good. Highly recommend their place if you're craving for nice sandwiches in the DC area.

I've driven past here probably a hundred times headed to the hospital and finally decided to stop for a quick lunch. My husband and I were both starving after a busy morning, so we were happy to walk in and see there wasn't a line and it wasn't too busy yet. We checked out the menu and went to the counter to order. We both decided to get hot sandwiches - he got one that was basically like Thanksgiving in sandwich form and I got the Dreamland. We also ordered some potato chips. Both sandwiches were ready after a 5-7 minute wait and we were ready to dig in. At first, my husband said his was okay, but later after finishing the 2nd half, he said it was really good. Mine was okay - I did like the turkey and cheese, and thought I'd like the fig spread, but it was a little too sweet for me. I also should have gotten more fixings, like avocado and spinach or something. The size of both though was pretty good - ate half for lunch and the other as part of dinner. Overall, it was a convenient spot to check out near the hospital/university.

Just stop by one of my FAVORITE places. Ordered me a Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Swiss on Sourdough Bread. Food is always good!

Jetties has expanded, now there's 3 other locations in addition to this one. I'm not surprised! It gets crowded here almost as soon as it opens. Sammies are always fresh and well made. Tried one of the soups they've added. The New England clam chowder was below par, chewy. Due to its popularity, the wait has gotten to be longer than I like however it's still a reliable place to get a marvelous sammie.

Quantum. call me Ishmael…read more Call me famished. Some hours ago--never mind how long precisely--having little or no provisions in the pantry, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would stroll about Georgetown and see the Levantine offerings of the city. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen and regulating the digestion. Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before mediocre sandwich shops, and bringing up the rear of every uninspired lunch line; and especially whenever my hunger gets such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off--then, I account it high time to get to Yellow as soon as I can. This is my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Cato throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the cafe. There is nothing surprising in this. If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same maritime longing towards a perfectly wood-fired pita. Stand at the counter of Yellow, your eyes fixed upon that golden, puffy vessel, blistered from the hearth. Why did the old Persians hold the sea holy? Why did the Greeks give it a separate deity? I found my answer when I plunged into the hummus--a swirling, creamy expanse of whipped chickpea, earthy za'atar, and rich sesame. As every one knows, meditation and tahini are wedded for ever. The pita, warm and impossibly soft, served as my vessel, navigating the golden pools of olive oil just as a Nantucket ship cuts through the Atlantic. There is magic in that dough, pulling you away from the shore of the mundane and into a deeper, richer abyss of flavor. If you are feeling a damp drizzle in your soul, do not take to the sea to drive off the spleen. Take to Yellow. Five stars.

About that $23 salad: The portion is a little skeet (that's an STL term - look it up) but the chicken was honestly juicy and flavorful as hell.
