It's important to note that we have the designer a design to work off of and she tweaked it a bit, but it's 90% the same layout. Anyway, we get a call from the owner saying he will NOT refund the $10,000 deposit (they originally pressured us for $20k, thank god we didn't do that), but that he would consider giving us $2,000 back and If I don't like it I'll have to sue him. He mentioned he already spoke to his lawyer and even if we dispute it with AMEX, he e knows he will win (it sounded like he has done this before and knows how to play the game) We did of course dispute it through AMEX, notified the BBB and also emailed the CEO of FABUWOOD sharing the deceptive practices of this company and will tag on IG/X It feels like we are getting scammed here - Do not give this company any $ and it looks like many of their Google Reviews are fake / paid for , also check YELP and FB.

During the installation, the valve blew and we ended up needing a plumber after hours. It cost me almost $400. Berger would not pay for any part of that, claiming it was not their person's fault. Neither of us could say for sure whether it was or wasn't so I asked if they would split it with me and they would not. Bottom line was that there was not an issue prior to this installation. As a local business dealing with a repeat customer the right thing to do would be to offer me something and they did not.

We were in search for a bold, modern wood dining table to get rid of our countryish one and found…read moreNew England Lumber in Mount Kisco back in July '21 to revamp our set with something more exclusive. The huge wooden table outside is a giveaway for what's to come and you'll notice exceptional designs that come at a price. These folks use real wood and no MDF or Particle Board crap. This is absolutely a premier treasure trove with humongous wood slab samples the same way there are smaller furniture pieces you can grab from the floor. We took a look at the intricate wood detailing and knew we were in the right place. Tried to speak to a floor person but the owner's wife suggested we speak to him directly as he has a better handle on design. He was busy so we scheduled an early Saturday afternoon appt to talk to him about style and price. Mauricio was welcoming, knows his stuff and answered all our questions. But between an extremely hefty kitchen gut job+repair+cabinets+labor, we didn't want to break the bank for a small dining table. So when we gave him measurements for a 5' wood table with black metal legs, we were looking at $3,150. I get it...it's custom made. Eyes wide open. Not ruling these folks out yet. Even if you don't buy anything, it's a great place to get lost for a couple of hours.

Terrible work, no interest in customer satisfaction. I'm just noticing that recent reviews are all…read moreterrible - I wish I had looked sooner. Also - there is very little transparency in the organization. One phone number, have never been able to speak to a supervisor, etc. I had a reclaimed and sentimental piece of marble that was local to the business and I paid top dollar for Marbleworks to pick it up and cut it into two pieces, finish the surfaces and edges and deliver the pieces to me in NYC. They warned me that there were oil stains and I understood. The price included "installation" and mine weren't being installed, but when I questioned it (neither was a countertop) they said that delivery counted as "installation" ... I agreed to the price. BUT they delivered the pieces rubbing up against each other with nothing in between the raw pieces and the largest piece was delivered with a huge -- though not super deep -- scratch -- and the smaller piece was significantly less "shiny" than the larger and with smaller scratched and like it hadn't been cleaned or as polished as the larger. I withheld the balance (about 39% of the total) until the scratches were removed -- it seemed if they WERE installing a countertop they would've done a better job of leaving me with better surfaces. They insisted on a certified check for the balance. I spend $$$ on cancelling a check, getting the certified check and to buy tarps since they'd now be doing the work in my apartment. The first appointment they gave me to fix the scratch they called the day before to reschedule. Okay. The second appointment I waited all day for them to come and at the end of the day they told me they got held up and could not come. I was upset and I told them I needed a first appointment and waited weeks until that appointment could happen. Unfortunately, when they showed up the workmen were told by my building that I needed a COI - Marbleworks did not inform me of this possibility (it seems they should if they know their business) and I was unaware myself. I sent them the sample COI within minutes but was told it would take time for the COI (which, if they had a relationship with their insurance company, should be fast, no?) that the workmen wouldn't wait AND that if I wanted them to come back I would have to pay them an additional $750 on top of what I owe them. I was sorry about the COI issue an will own my ignorance BUT it seemed to me we were even, since I was stood up once and accommodated weeks of rescheduling, and delays - not to mention bad work in the first place. I told them I'd be willing to wait until it was convenient for Marbleworks to get back to the city (vs. insisting on first appointment, etc.) but they said they have no plans to deliver back into the city unless I pay them $750. So they will not accommodate me in any way to fix their shoddy work no matter what my concessions are - without charging me more $$$. They have no interest whatsoever in making this very polite, very patient customer happy - by fixing their shoddy work to begin with. Since I have had no customer satisfaction, I am not going to pay the balance but am instead looking into local marble repair companies. While my sales contact was unfailingly polite, he is so great at stonewalling that I'm guessing he is being incentivized on making me go away and/or pay more $$$ than actually creating a happy customer. I'm looking at beginning a renovation in the next year and I would not deal with them again.

I regret using them…read more I ordered a quartz kitchen countertop and installation with sink. Plus removal and disposal of old countertop ($275). After the worker, George, took old countertop with sink out, I noticed wall damages. I wanted to fix it but he said "I can cover it. I did it many times" the result? See pictures. He couldn't place brackets on one corner of under mount sink due to holes on countertop for brackets were in wrong places. 3 days later, chalk between countertop and under mount sink started to melt. See the picture. I had to apply waterproof chalk by myself in order to prevent further damages. The company offered me to finish waterproof caulking. But looking at their finished low quality work, I declined her offer. The company wrote a long defensive email saying they delivered a high quality work. Their high quality work and my standard have a huge gap. I had to spend more money and labor to fix their work and placing brackets to secure under mount sink. I regret not researching about this company's reviews.
