I brought my 2018 x1 here for a second opinion. They diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes. Bimmers Only fixed the problem which was the wheel bearing, which made sense since the noise was coming from the rear wheel and not the coolant pump which Autoscope said it was. Bimmers said my coolant pump did not need to be replaced and this saved me thousands and fixed the problem I had taken to Autoscope to fix for over a year! They kept saying they fixed it and each repair they did was over $2800 - more than $10K in one year and problem was never fixed. We bought a 10 year old BMW convertible from a used car dealer recently. Before our return period ran out, we brought our car to Bimmers Only Plano today for a used car checkout even though it seemed to be in really good shape. Well, so glad we did. They found out that the engine was eating itself up from the inside out and would likely need to be replaced in less than 10k miles. That's something the dealer's 150 point inspection missed. These guys do a good job with my BMW. I had my cars odometer converted from KMs to Miles and the whole process was smooth. I came back another time when my car died. They diagnosed the water pump problem and had it done the next day at a reasonable price. The only thing is I wished they had a loaner car but aside from that, no complaints. read more

I really wanted to like this business. The first time I had a car repair there, they wanted me to pay more than what was quoted. After much discussion, I paid what had been quoted, particularly because no one had contacted me to say that the price had changed. Like I said, I really wanted to like them. The second time time I went there, they wanted me to write my check to a name different from the company name. This felt a bit shady. The third and last time that I visited, I was asked to pay $100 to even look at the car. I can understand if there was an engine issue that had to be diagnosed, but it was the CV axle that had to be replaced, and I had already had a quote. I then asked the receptionist if she could just give me a quote based on the work repairs listed in my previous quote, and she said that they couldn't do that. I would have to pay the $100+. This is not standard procedures at other car repair shops. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place, but I will not be back, and do not recommend them. read more

Needed brake pads replaced. I requested ceramic brakes due to the dust and noise I was experiencing with my previous pads. Picked up my car and left the shop after work was done. By far best Bmw repair shop I've dealt with in Dallas; I've had my 2013 328xi for over a year and anytime a service soon light or have any concerns with my vehicle the owner personally checks on the car reviews everything and tell me exactly what if anything needs to be worked on. If you have a BMW I'm advising you to come here instead of get your work done. While I do love my advisor at BMW, the prices are much higher there. I started coming here when I still had a warranty on my car. They were so honest. They told me that certain things were still covered under my warranty and sent me to the dealership. Now that my warranty has run out, I only come here. Due to them doing such a great job on my car, I don't have to come often and when I arrived today I found out that the nice guy Lenny who always answers the phone died in August. That crushed me. I so enjoyed having a fellow Yankee in Dallas. But I definitely would tell anyone with a BMW who is out of warranty to come here. Once, I went to the dealership and they gave me a $5,000 sheet of things that needed to be fixed. I brought the sheet here and after inspecting my car, I only spent $400. Most of the things they told me at the dealership were small things took a little bit of cleaning under the hood. read more

They didn't try to upsell me, did the repairs quickly, and charged far less than the dealership quoted. I am ecstatic to have found a BMW certified independent shop that I can trust. First things first, I'm not one to write reviews. But when it comes to Bimmer Motor Werks, I couldn't help but leave a friendly review for all the amazing service they've provided me over the past year and a half, now that I'll be packing up my bags and moving for a job change. To give some background, I purchased an E60 M5 about a year ago and took it to these guys for all my maintenance and repair needs. They're extremely competitive in terms of pricing, if not substantially cheaper than dealerships (or, stealerships, as I like to call them), and do extremely high quality work. They're timely and are supremely accommodative of my schedule. I've pretty much only worked with Lenny at the front of the house and he knows his stuff. A true Bimmer enthusiast. Doesn't upsell you for parts and services you don't need -- just tells you straight up what's wrong with the car and what needs to be done. All-in-all, I'd give these guys more than 5 stars if possible. If you have a BMW, take it to these guys! You absolutely will not regret it. read more

Freddy's prices are great and his advise and consultations are better than I've ever seen at any dealership. If there is nothing wrong with your vehicle guess what? He tells you there is nothing wrong!!! If your vehicle does have problems he goes over each issue and advises which areas need immediate attention and those that can wait. No pressure. No sales. I took My 2008 328i BMW to bimmers only becuse my alternater and starter died on me and could not start the car ,jumper cables did not work , so i had it towed to bimmers only and spoke to freddy and while i was there i thought i might as well fix my oil leaking issues . Highlights include: - Estimates are clear and easy to read - Prices are fair (you're dealing with German cars, so expect prices to be higher than American or Japanese cars) - Service associates are knowledgeable (they've successfully diagnosed every car problem I've ever had and made the necessary repairs to fix the problem) - The entire team is extremely professional When you're loyal to a product, service, or brand, it's difficult to give a single reason why you're loyal. If I had to summarize all the reasons into one single point for why I trust bimmers only so much it's because they treat my car as if it were theirs. The recommendations are always fair and I don't feel like anything is pushed on me. I recommend everyone to BIMMERS ONLY and if you're on the fence about coming here, I recommend you do it. On a final note, if you're trying to find the cheapest price for a service, this isn't your place. I'm not saying bimmers only is overly expensive in relation to other service shops. What I am saying is that bimmers only caters to someone who wants to have their car taken care of by knowledgeable associates. Took my wife's '09 into Bimmer's Only when the check engine light came on based on a friend's recommendation. Can't say enough about this place. Small, family owned independent shops that are also competent are hard to find. I am fairly knowledgeable about mechanical auto repairs, but the electronic systems in these newer BMW's are well beyond my abilities. I know enough to smell a dishonest or incompetent mechanic and Freddy is definitely neither. He knows these cars inside and out and did a great job explaining the issues and my options to repair. Based on quotes from the dealer($$$), their prices are way more than reasonable. The Plano location is convenient from 75 and made it easy for drop-off and pick-up. Took the car in since it was having intermittent issues. Scheduling an appointment was convenient. Business must have been good since they were booked several days out but they were clear about that from the beginning, so I can't deduct stars for that. I have a feeling some shops will take your car earlier so you don't go elsewhere but Bimmers Only checked the car and provided quick feedback. The repairs were done quickly (granted it didn't require a lot of tear down) and it runs great now. I feel other shops might have suggested unnecessary repairs but not this place. I had accidentally scraped my BMW on the front bumper while pulling into my garage. I immediately panicked and thought that I would need to spend several hundred dollars in paint touch up at a repair shop. After doing research, I called this company since they work on BMWs and spoke with Jesse. I explained the condition of my car and sent him several photos. He was available for me to bring my car whenever was convenient for me and when I brought my car in, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! Jesse and his crew buffed out the scratches, the bumper looked like new and Jesse did not charge me a cent. I was shocked and amazed by his hospitality and act of kindness!!! I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. I'd gotten an oil change in the past, and just thought Lenny and those guys were jut being nice. Yesterday, I went in expecting that Id' done something horribly wrong to my car. Lenny was EXTREMELY helpful. When it was all said and done, I just needed an alignment. I cannot say how cool these guys were. I actually spent a couple of hours waiting on my car. The whole staff at Bimmer Motor Werks is so friendly, professional and honest. I needed my whole headlight assembly replaced from a car wreck that I was in. The mechanic realized that my modulator was ruined as well from water getting into it. He had another modulator from a previous job he had done and didn't charge me for the part that would have cost me an additional $500 at the very least!! He didn't have to do that but he was gracious enough because I really needed that headlight fixed, because I was going out of town and needed to drive that same night! Go see these guys! 100% recommend. Had a drive belt snap at the same time my oil was due for a change. Changed the belt myself and took it to BMW of Dallas, who said that they would change the oil and replace the belt pulleys for a low price of $700. Immediately took it to Bimmer and They changed the oil and cleaned off my engine from a leak - cost was $79. They walked me through replacing my pulleys so I could do it myself. Read my codes and wiped the old ones for free. They also removed a sticker that BMW of Dallas rudely placed on the windshield in front of the driver's seat. Hell of a deal and great customer service for just the price of the oil change. read more
