I have used this company multiple times on working on my vehicle, the last time I took my car there, I was so overcharged for an alternator over 300% just for the part only, I tried contacting Ray one of the owners to discuss it with him on three separate occasions both by calling and email, but he would not call me back nor respond to my emails, I requested a refund and never got an email or a phone call back from this company. My wife took her E350 MB into MB of Plano for an A service (51,091 miles) last week. They informed her that the following needed to be repaired/replaced: 1) Oil Leak from the front Covers on Engine ($1,321.69), 2) Battery Failed Loan Test/Replace Battery ($456.85) and Replace Wipers ($93,75). Something didn't seem right so she took her car to Ray & George at Silverstar (where we should have gone to begin with). After a complete diagnostic test, NONE of those issues were present. The oil lead was because when they did the A service, they did not tighten the oil filter, the battery tested great and the wipers didn't need to be replaced. We've known Ray & George for 15 years and we will never make the mistake of going back to Mercedes Benz of Plano. Steve read more

Just don't do it. My husband and I took our BMW and Benz here for years and at some point things changed. Customer service was bad, the loaner cars they gave you had check engine lights on and expired tags. The last experience I took my car in and pulled out and the cabin filled with smoke. I took it right back and they had it for another 3 days. Recently, I took my car to the dealership and they found two major problems that Silver Star supposedly fixed a few years back! So disappointing. My husband had the same issue with his car, repairs they said they made were done like amateurs and had to be totally redone. Side note - they go through receptionists like toilet paper - that says alot. My advice, run don't walk from this place. Not worth it! read more

It's funny how you aren't planning to do something, like buy a car, but then a chain of events occur that ultimately end in you driving home with some sweet wheels. This is how Silver Star and I came to meet. Driving along Parker one night, late for an appointment, I experienced a total blow out of my passenger rear tire. I mean that baby was shredded like cheddar cheese on top of some nachos. Ironically I had just signed up for Triple A a month earlier, so I called and the driver arrived in about 20 minutes. As he put a temporary tire on, he eyeballed my other three and said "umm, I hate to tell you this, but you really need new tires all the way around." Oh the agony!!! I envisioned the dollar signs piling up faster than I could count. Freddie, the Triple A angel, said he knew of a repair place that handled imports and guaranteed all their work. He also said they would beat the dealer's estimate by at least a third. Reluctant to break from my habit of going to the dealer for major repairs, I told him I would think about it. Freddie said he would call Silver Star and let them know I might be by...just in case. Needless to say, after receiving a quote for tire replacement and some other general repair work that would require a second mortgage, I thumbed my nose at the dealer and headed to Silver Star. I talked with Jorge about the tires and other work that I knew was needed, and also asked for a complete once over since I was going to be heading out for a long road trip over the holiday. They took my car right there and drove me back to my house. Since I work from home, this was a perfect arrangement. After two days of work, they called with a total that almost made me fall out of my chair. They not only replaced all the tiers, but replaced two brake rotors and pads, various hoses that were on the verge of cracking and other issues. Their price? Almost $4,000 less than the dealer. In addition, they fixed a dent in my bumper for free that was made by a neighbor backing out of their driveway without using their rearview mirror. As I walked into the office to pay the bill, I walked by a sweet little luxury car that was whispering my name. When I walked over to look closer, I heard the orchestra music swell in the background. When I saw the price and mileage, the music reached a crescendo. Love at first sight? Yes - it does happen!!! I talked with Kevin the dealmaker and although they do not negotiate their prices, they worked with me based on the money I had paid for my existing car. They gave me a great trade in value and before I knew it, I had my financing through my old Credit Union and was driving away in my love mobile (not to be confused with the Love Bug). The car I purchased was a leaseback return with 16,000 miles and 2 years left on the manufacturer's warranty. Overall a wonderful car buying experience - especially for a female. At no time did I feel like I was being taken advantage of or did anyone speak to me like I was a novice car buyer. The only thing that kept this review from being 5 stars was the fact that they had to keep my old car overnight and I did not have a loaner vehicle to drive. Recently purchased an Audi 2020 Q3 from this dealership. Upon noticing a pre sense light come on the dash, I took it in to an Audi service dealership. Come to find out, all the wiring for the sensors on the front bumper were jacked and the hood release was epoxied on. $1200 cost to fix less than a month into owning the vehicle. I called every day checking in to see when it would be ready for me to pay and pick up. Then finally today we called and they informed us that they sold it to someone else. Three weeks ago I traded in a car, which is currently for sale (he does not have the title) and bought a truck. He has not finished the transaction by paying off what I traded in and receiving the title. The car is still is my name and I am expected to pay on the note, as well as now the new vehicle I traded for. He said he'd check into it, and never returned my emails or calls. My next call is police to file a stolen vehicle report I guess, since he's trying to sell a vehicle that is legally still in my name, Called again today, spoke to a George, I was told it was just a clerical error that nothing was done! So I guess they normally just don't follow through with their jobs??? You have to threaten police involvement to get anything taken care of, still currently waiting for the wire transfer to get the car out of my name so they can legally sell the car. Update #2: They have NOT filed the paperwork for the truck to be registered to me for me to have plates in either Tarrant County where I bought it or Taylor County where I live. I have called both places, neither my name nor VIN of the truck is on file. So is this another clerical error, one that will result in getting tickets? Looks like yet ANOTHER dispute to take up with the BBB. read more

They described the truck as low mileage in pristine condition. It was actually a dogged out truck with holes cut in bed for stacks that they had put a bedliner in to cover the stack holes and not tell me. The Cummins with supposedly 70k miles was using 1 quart of oil every 500 miles so I had it checked by local shop. The engine turned out to be not the original engine, with unknown miles and excessive blow by and had to be replaced. Never trust this dealership. This truck is so far from low miles and pristine that this deal should be considered fraud. read more

Bought a 2003 MB E430 from Silver Star for my sons in January. Of course the car does not have warranty and unfortunately 2 weeks after the purchase the transmission was having big problems. Called Silver Star and after explaining what happened, they replaced the transmission for free, and gave my sons a loaner for the time being. I am a former employee from Silver Star and I just wanted to write a small review. This place of business is the BEST place to take your Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, Audi or whatever car you may have. All of the mechanics are VERY educated and efficient as well as being dedicated for many years!I would NEVER have anyone else work on my car. The guys in the body shop can do miracles if you have any body damage. I highly recommend Silver Star to anyone!! You will never be disappointed by the service. And most importantly, compared to dealerships, you save so much money, for the same service the dealers offer. read more

Beware....they are shady, sketchy, and liars. Kevin obviously advised me of a one year warranty on a S550 amg after the sale... I had an oil leak and valve cover gaskets replaced, also brakes .. maybe 8-9 months after the sale. I got it fixed at the closest location (I did not think to take it back to the dealership). My transmission module went out, the valve body too... SMH. Only a few months later. This happened during Christmas and I purchased the car 12-4-17. I call Kevin to advise him off all the problems I was having with the car he sold me. I requested assistance on the most recent repairs. He stated I purchased the vehicle in November based on the records he had in front of him at the time....so I tell him I will check my records, records show 12-4-17 (1st lie). Kevin tells me my warranty ended before the transmission failed but he speak with someone to try and help me out in this situation, he said he would do his best since it was not too far out of the warranty (He did say he doubts they will be able to help but he would try his best). After a couple days of no response, I contact the dealership.... They have a woman answering the phone, I tell her my name and reason for calling... requesting to speak with Kevin and he was not available and would call me back. I don't think I have to tell you I never received a call back. I then called for Kevin a couple days after not being called back.... And he is available to talk. Kevin tells me as he thought..there is nothing they can do for me. I asked Kevin about the service I had done previous to the warranty ending. My question was, "can you help with the service done before the end of the warranty?". His response was"yes, if you bring the receipt...we can reimburse you what was done before the end of the warranty". Kevin requested that I speak to a man named George, stating "I'm just the salesman, he deals with servicing the cars". I said ok and inquired what I would need to bring... Kevin advised me to bring the receipt on Monday (a day he is not in the office). Today I bring the receipt for repairs and a man greets me with a frown asking "how can I help you?"... I tell him who I am and why I am here... He first tries to schew me away by saying "do you have it in writing", I respond , "I'm sure it is, because me and Kevin has been working on this for a couple of weeks now"... He tells me they don't do warranties on used cars. So he again asked if I have anything in writing. He tells me to go wait in the office while he shows a customer (victim) a car and he will talk about it... So after he finds the contract which is stored in an 80's wood finished filling drawer.. he comes across the warranty form that has not been filled out ... It does not have the box checked for "as is" and it did not have the box checked that read "warranty". George tells me it doesn't have anything saying a warranty was agreed upon, neither does it have anything saying it was "as is". I requested he call Kevin since we have been discussing this warranty issue for weeks now. George calls Kevin (yelling in an angry tone), "there is a man here that you told he had a one year warranty and he needs to speak to me, he has a $3000 dollar invoice for repairs!?" ... Kevin responds over the phone, which I can can hear a quick response but not hear what was said...but George's response was .."why would you tell him that! You know we don't do that"...then continues to talk to Kevin in a different language... He then says "he said he never said anything about a warranty"... Imagine my facial expressions before I requested to speak to Kevin myself.... "Kevin, could you please tell him you advised me to bring this information and you said you would cover this under the warranty".... Kevin responds, "I never said anything about a warranty.... (This is the kicker) I was just taking your word for it"... So he is saying that the warranty he showed ending in November but after real research it ended in December...actually was never a warranty at all...(lost count of how many lies) read more

I've worked with dealerships and other shops to maintain my cars but found that not only were the costs of maintenance extremely expensive, but I often felt that much of what was recommended for the car was unnecessary for optimal performance. Over several years at Silver Star, I've learned to trust Ray and George. They keep my car running great for considerably lower costs than anywhere else I've tried - and I've tried many places. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. They sell frame damage vehicles, and cars that have been in multiple car accidents. I purchased my Mercedes Benz C-300 for $25,200 in september of 2013 and I just found out that the vehicle has been in numerous car accidents in California and It was auctioned off as Frame DAMAGE in March of last year. Before purchasing your vehicle from this company make sure you do a auto check report to see if they are telling that truth. Now I am stuck with a frame damage vehicle that is worth $16k and I owe $22k. They are not owning up to their mistake, or taking responsiblity for this matter. They keep insisting to bring a car back and they will credit me back $19k towards any vehicle from their lot... I DONT THINK SO. read more

My wife and I had a very good car buying experience from Silver Star Motorcars. We had previously gone to many other car dealerships looking for a 'new to us' luxury car and came up quite short. After looking on many different websites, I finally stumbled upon Silver Star Motorcars website, found a few cars that we were interested in and decided to drive up and take a look at them. We are both sure glad we did! Kevin and George let us take the cars we were interested in for test drives to see which one we liked best. At no point did we get pressured into buying anything, it may have helped that we had our own financing from our bank, but they were never pushy. While they do not negotiate on their prices, the prices on their cars are very reasonable and I found them to be less than the big car dealers. My wife and I had a very pleasant car buying experience after we had just about given up hope on trying to buy a 'new to us' car, an upgrade from our former car.
