The staff wide rudeness towards the customer is ALMOST comical. From the the manager who acts like you are intruding on her space to dare come in and spend your money, while she sits at the bar looking at at her phone right on to the incredibly rude and surely waitress. As great restaurants have highly trained management and staff to treat every guest as honored(NOT rear end kissing) these people MUST train to be this awful. Food is good, but I really stretch out the time between dining there hoping something will change - no, same manager, same experience. If it wasn't my money it truly would be comical! Not only does Bin 119 have a unique and classy environment, but the food is tasty, too! The price is a bit more than normal restaurant (such as a chain like Red Robin), but the value is still fair for the yummy cuisine. My best friend is in love with their sangria, and I can't get enough of their crab cakes! I've also had the shrimp scampi and the halibut filet, and everything is always delicious. They're even accommodating with their menu, by allowing me to swap out the sides I don't like for a Caesar salad (also quite appetizing). The service is always pleasant and warm, which enhances the vibe of the restaurant itself. It would be a great place for a date night or a girl's night out, and is definitely one of the better restaurants in town. I've been there several times now and have never had a bad experience or less-than-awesome dish, so check it out! read more

I have to admit, Bin is one of our "go to" places when my wife & I want to be sure of getting an outstanding meal, whether it be lunch or dinner. For starters, the food is excellent! I'm a creature of habit, so for lunch I'll typically have the chicken cordon blue panini with the homemade potato chips and have never been disappointed. For dinner I'll have the tenderloin filet with melted blue cheese on top with mashed potatoes. The steak is always done exactly the way I like it, so I'm always very happy. But to be honest, I will usually skip eating the potatoes; not because they aren't good, but rather because I've only got so much capacity and I like to save that room for appetizers & desert. Which brings me to the crab cakes. My wife & I have been to three places where the crab cakes are truly excellent and The Bin is on that short list. We also like a good wine with our meals, however my wife and I like different wines. So one of the problems we run into at a lot of places is the selection of wines by the glass is poor. Therefore we will typically get a bottle, meaning that one of us usually has to compromise. Not so at The Bin; they have an excellent selection of wines by the glass and the bottle, which opens up our options. They offer sever bottles that we both like, but if we each want something different, we have several by-the-glass options as well. Another thing that sets this place apart is the ambience. This is a great room and they use it right. Finally, the service is always A+. Case in point, last night they were a little slow getting our appetizer out but to be honest, we really didn't notice, so obviously made no mention of it. Never-the-less, our server apologized and comped our desert. For us, it's not about the free stuff, it's the gesture that makes all the difference. For us, Bin 119 is simply excellent, period. read more

First time coming to this restaraunt I was impressed. I ordered the filet. It was definitely the best steak I had in billings, flavorful and cooked to perfection (medium rare). My husband really enjoyed his meal as well. It is a smaller restaraunt and the ambiance is great. Very personal setting. Overall, nice place. read more

Good inexpensive brunch. I ate the crab eggs Benedict. It doesn't come with an English Muffin, so I had to order it. The potato medley is really good-crispy on the outside! $4 mimosas all day. Brunch is served until 2pm on Sunday's. read more

This is my favorite place when visiting Billings. Their brunch is fantastic! Classy little place that's worth going to!

It's not as expensive as the $$$$ suggests (unless you really go for the wine). Great friendly service and good food.

Fabulous place for brunch. I've never had anything I didn't love there. Bottomless mimosas would make this a perfect Sunday stop.

A little oasis in Billings. We were passing through on our move from DC to Seattle, and this place was warm, inviting and has a very decent wine selection. Plenty of tasty food options too (thoughtful options abound). Civilized and cozy. Would not be out of place in Chicago or Philly. read more

Better than a four, so got rounded to five. Interesting wines with Reidel glassware. Great service with good knowledge of their wines. Had a super Wallan wine, from Walla Walla, Wa. A blended sangiovese so we had a sequence of dishes that work well with a red. Gorganzolla crostini with great cheese a drizzle of garlic oil and strawberries. Then a spinach salad that had a balsamic viniagrette that was fine, but did not work with the wine. Then a main course of beef tenderloin with a potabella demi glace that was terrific. Finished with a multilayered chocolate cheesecake. Split this entire meal with my wife, and all worked nicely with the wine except the salad, but it does not hurt to drink a little water with a meal. A quiet Monday with a really nice waitress. If you are having an unusual wine share a taste with the server so they can better advise future customers. read more

I rarely leave a review, and never after one visit. This is the second visit, so I feel I can speak with some authority as to the quality of Bin 119. Obviously some serious money was spent on a comfortable, interesting interior. However, in no way does the food parallel the interior design. To call BIn 119 "bar food" does a disservice to bar food. Yesterday two of our party had the "special", Fish & Chips. The fish was overcooked/burned to the consistency of fine shoe leather. One of the party had a hamburger. His comment was a Wendy's burger would have had significantly more flavor... utterly dried-out, and flavorless. Even the pickle slices were bad, and that's a really low bar! I had a Chicken/Artichoke Panini... I'm not sure on what alternate universe it could pass as a panini, but not any I inhabit. A sloppy mess of dried-out flavorless chicken, some sort of sauce, between what looked like a gordita with grill marks. If eating Sysco/Food Service Of America truck food is your idea of eating out, this is the place for you. I've been to dive bars with far better fare. To be fair, if you want a glass of wine you'll be "ok", though the "by the glass" list is utterly subpar for what passes as a "wine bar." Regardless, I will never darken the door of this place again. As a postscript, the person, who was later to become our waitress, couldn't find the energy to tear herself away from her conversation with the bartender in order to greet us or show us anything other than her back... we figured out for ourselves where to sit. She got a 20% gratuity, but not because she earned it, but because if you can't tip 20% you shouldn't go out to eat. read more

I've been eating at this restaurant for last 4 years. Tonight my favorite mac & cheese dish did not taste like times before. Crab cakes were amazing as always and the server was great but the bartender kept glaring at our table and not with a smile. We were only customers in the restaurant and it was just myself, my daughter and my boyfriend's daughter. I don't know if she thought we don't belong there but after paying over $100 for 3 dinners I'd think she'd get tired of glaring at our table. Very disappointed in Rib Eye, 3 people in our group had and they all had a huge pile of fat and hard to chew pieces. I on the other hand had the Seafood Linguine and it was amazing! Atmosphere was wonderful, our waitress was super sweet! read more

Not really a fan of the Bin, I want to like it because the idea of a wine bar is great, but the execution really does suck. I had the lobster mac and it was not that great at all the chunks of lobster looked more like langostino not lobster. The crab cake was tasty though. Not sure if I will be back. read more

This place is nicely decorated and the staff is super friendly. The food was good but the chocolate ballerina cup was not good at all. It says it comes with chocolate mousse but it's just cheap chocolate whipped cream. read more

We'll be back! The ambience is certainly for date night dining or for happy hour with friends. Service was polite and prompt. The wine based Bloody Mary and raspberry margarita were fresh and excellent. Crab cakes were the best I've ever had with lots of crab and perfectly blended flavor. I'd recommend getting the coconut curry sauce on the side as it is sweeter than some might like. The lobster mac and cheese is a must try. It was better at lunch on a different day than it was last night but still very good though. Oh oh oh the creme brûlée.... THICK candied topping, sooooo sooooo good (just not enough of it - think a dollar per nibble). The only downside was the portions are unreasonably small for the price. You'd actually have to order two entrees to have a regular sized dinner - I mean some people do go there to feel like they've eaten something before they leave. My friend and I ordered the steak special with an add on of the fried shrimp. This has been one of my favorite places to eat up until now. We got our plates and the waitress left. I took a bite of the shrimp and it was way to hard! Unusual! As I started chewing it it was cold. It was too late to spit it out at this point so I swallowed it. I looked at the rest of the piece and it was still blue. It was frozen cold in the middle. We called the waitress over and she took both of our plates away. Steak and all. She then returned with our plates with the same steaks and potatoes on them. No shrimp. We proceeded to eat our steaks and about 10 minutes later our shrimp was returned on a side plate, all together including the shrimp with the bite out of it. I was appalled. My friend looked at the half eaten shrimp and wondered what the hell happened. Did they throw that shrimp back in the fryer after I ate a bite of one? Isn't this a health code violation?? Unbelievable. Silly me, I took another bite of the shrimp and it was cooked hard as a rock. Needless to say, we did not eat anymore of the shrimp and I began second guessing the steak. Fast, affordable, and good. It's a go to for weekend brunch or Friday night dates. Not the best in town but miles ahead of the pack.

I've never had such terrible service. Not once, but twice. I went back to give it a second chance, and it wasn't worth it. The atmosphere of "We're better than you" doesn't sit well with me when I'm the paying guest and the server relies on local people like me eating there. The food was fine but starting the meal with 'Are you ready to order yet?' and ending the meal with the ticket being tossed onto the middle of the table and not thanked at all made me never want to go back.
