We stopped in here after having a bite to eat at a restaurant in this plaza. It was still early on a Friday night, so there was no line. I tried the soft serve, which was absolutely delicious. I was offered a quick sample before I committed to ordering. I chose a cup versus a cone, and it was a very generous serving. My Husband ordered a hot green tea. We were the only customers at the time, placing an order. The service was quick and friendly.
Not too busy on a Saturday night after dinner. We walked over from dinner. The watermelon and mango bingsoo are huge and definitely have to be shared. Both very good and the ice is smooth. The Hawaiian shaved ice was crunchy and not the smooth shaved ice like in Hawaii. This was the simple dessert that we ordered and it came out way after the fancy bingsoo.
Been on a tea kick lately and trying a bunch of new tea places. While grabbing some dinner at Flama Llama, we stopped by Bing Haus for a drink. Easily accessible through a hallway in the next lot from Flama Llama. Walking in there was only one customer ahead of us, but after we ordered, several other customers came in, so we missed the mini rush. They have ice cream items which is nice like soft serve and mini melt (nitrogen ice cream) and they serve rolled ice cream on the weekends (Fri-Sun) so I'm sure it's a bit busier then. I decided on something other than my usual norm of Thai tea or an Oreo milk tea and decided to try the Brown sugar black tea. They only have one size but you can order it hot or over ice. The drink is maybe 12 oz. So a bit more expensive for how much you get. The drink was not bad. Has a good strong black tea flavor. Brown sugar has a distinctive taste and it was a bit overwhelming. There was one person working at the time and she was friendly and when we visited service was quick. 2025: 30
Stopped in for some rolled ice cream and bingsoo. Rolled ice cream - We got the thai iced tea. The flavor is good especially with the condensed milk over it. Wished there were more boba and whipped cream on it. Watermelon bingsoo - The watermelon wasn't that sweet. The condensed milk made it better and I love how there were mochi and fruity pebbles in there. Also, there's soft serve on the side. But please fix the AC.
Good rolled ice cream - I ordered the cookies and cream with cheesecake bites and whipped cream (they only give you a small dallop, I wish they were more generous). I've had it before, and remember last time their ice cream tasted 'creamier' and not as icy I guess, but it was still very good and would order it again. Ambience seems good for studying , as I saw a lot of laptops being used. Service was ok.
We haven't been here in a couple of years and it looks like it has gone downhill. Ordered the Earl grey lavender rolled ice cream and it was not good. It was so bad with a horrible artificial medicine like after taste. The Thai tea rolled ice cream was ok but sort of plain. They don't have as many toppings as they used to.
The service was great and friendly, portion was massive, and the ambiance is chill. We watched them make rolled ice cream. We got a Patbingsoo (topping: blueberry, strawberry, banana, mochi, red bean, and condensed milk. inside: fruity pebbles. side: vanilla soft serve) and Hokkaido milk tea with tapioca. The Patbingsoo was so massive, 4 people could not finish it. I personally prefer the shaved ice incorporated with condensed milk. Here, shaved ice is simply shaved ice. The Hokkaido milk tea had a different taste to what I'm used to. It seemed to have a hint of cinnamon. The tapioca was warm and chewy. As for parking, good luck. When it's full, it's really full. We circled around 3 times before being able to find parking. The parking lot feels challenging to navigate, too though there are nearby similar plaza parking lots.
We decided to come here on the recommendation of a friend who lives on the area. I had the earl grey lavender rolled ice cream and my partner had the frosted flakes rolled ice cream. It's a pretty cute and aesthetic place. There's a swing chair you can take pictures in. You can watch them make your ice cream. It was pretty crowded so I definitely swooped on the first table that opened up. We had the corner table so had a nice view to people watch from. The earl grey lavender was really nice, loved the combo. The frosted flakes was also nice and subtle. Texture was as expected from typical rolled ice cream. I wouldn't say this place stands out from other rolled ice cream spots I've been to, but it was good.

Came here on a Friday night around 8pm and it wasn't too busy. We ordered off a kiosk and I tried the strawberry rolled ice cream which comes with cheesecake bits, strawberries & whipped cream. It was yummy! Service was quick. Ambiance of the shop is fine - It's a smaller shop with a few seats, some people were working, others hanging with friends. A good dessert option on Convoy! read more

Service was good, the cashier made some good suggestions. Message to owner, please bring back your earl grey rolled icecream - I came here specifically for this. No earl grey tea either - what a bummer. The parking lot is paid parking now but apparently it's loosely monitored and a sign at the door says first 90 mins free. read more

I've only ever had the rolled ice cream and americano here, so those are the only product-related commentaries I can provide. That said, the rolled ice cream is fabulous! My favorite flavors are banana, cinnamon toast crunch, and green tea. There are a variety of toppings you can put into your ice cream as well. It is also pretty fun to watch them make it! The americano is smooth and simple--I love it black. This cafe and dessert bar also sells soft-serve ice cream, shaved ice, and hot/iced coffee and teas. The atmosphere is very nice, and the interior is aesthetically pleasing (and always clean). A very modern look all around. They have wi-fi, free water, and the service is very good! The only downside is the location. It is located in a difficult parking lot next to a FedEx, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym, and a few restaurants. But hey, that's also just Kearny Mesa in general. Update: Bing Haus has become even more popular in recent years. It's always packed on the weekends. Everything is still great -- the shaved ice is really awesome too! read more

A sweet tooth was definitely satisfied~ Ambience 9/10 Strawberry Rolled Ice Cream 7.5/10 Service 10/10 I nice place to relax and enjoy a sweet treat, ice cream portion is a great size and you could definitely share. I loved checking the stationary station while I waited. read more

My sister brought me Mochi Donuts from here and they did not disappoint! They were very flavorful and they weren't dry. The variety of flavors were nice , I would definitely buy from here again. read more

Came to Bing Haus a few weeks ago after dinner and I had to try the Watermelon Bingsoo. I have very little experience when it comes to Korean desserts but this was amazing. The presentation alone is worth the $15, but the best part is on the inside. After you eat a few watermelon balls you'll get to the shaved ice, condensed milk, and mochi part which was my favorite. I recommend sharing this with someone, but they also will pack the leftovers for you. Ambiance wise this place was very nice inside and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Would I come again? We swung by Bing Haus for dessert recently. The shop was busy and all the seats were full. We tried to move two tables together for our party but found that they were bolted down or something, and immobile. For a place that feels designed for group hangouts, with board games and lots of seating, that is a bit counterproductive. The restaurant is decorated really cutely, with fun neon signage and a wall with some cute clothes and stationary for sale. Unfortunately, the shaved ice we ordered fell short of our expectations. We got the watermelon bingsu. It came in a hollowed out half mini watermelon, which was cute. The shaved ice itself was pretty fluffy and made of (probably) milk and not water, but I don't think the toppings worked well with it. The watermelon wasn't that sweet which was fine, that's out of their control, but the problem was the excessive amount of fruity pebbles, which overpowered the watermelon completely. They weren't only sprinkled on top, but were also found at the bottom of our dessert. There were just way too many, we couldn't really avoid them. Also, the Mochi was pretty flavorless and tough, and tasted like the pre-packaged rainbow Mochi from Hmart. All in all, with the plethora of dessert options in convoy, I don't think I would go out of my way to come back to bing haus. I did see a lot of people getting the rolled ice cream, which looked quite nice, but definitely if I'm craving shaved ice, I'd look somewhere else. read more

The rolled icecream is so delicious! It's also picturesque and pretty in the cafe. They have a couple board games too so you can hang out and relax. I definitely will be back to get some coffee or tea soon because there were so many different flavors with everything made in house. Also the rolled icecream came with their own individual toppings in lovely creations. We tried the earl grey tea ice cream, and it came with strawberries, mochi, and whipped cream. The strawberry ice cream came with fresh strawberries, cheesecake, and icecream. For handmade rolled icecream it came out relatively quickly! You can order on the kiosk or with a server! read more
Needed a nice refresher after some delicious savory flavors from Cross Street Chicken. It's great this was in the same plaza! AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking and street parking however welcome to Convoy, this place can get busy. Seating: Inside seating mainly great for small groups. Room for about 20 people. Vibes: Welcome to Convoy! A place with a lot of history and slowly developing aesthetically neat spot. You'll notice decorated electric boxes or murals here and there. The spot itself is pretty neat. I enjoyed the welcoming alternative music and relatively clean spot. It's a nice social or work place as you want to. FOOD: Matcha Honeydew Milk Tea - Customized (Recommend) Refreshing! Subtle, smooth, creamy, and sweet. What's not to love? Matcha, honeydew? Delicious and partially healthy! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Henry was dope, they didn't have a Matcha Honeydew on the menu but he was able to make it happen. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Great! Good selections, delicious food, and a pleasant vibe. I can see myself coming here for a drink, socialize, or get work done. I came here for the watermelon bingsoo. Sadly, the taste didn't meet my expectations. Watermelon wasn't very fresh nor sweet. I only liked the ice cream at the bottom of the watermelon balls. There were fruity pebbles on top so it made it looked pretty. When the ice cream slightly melted it tasted like cereal. The charcoal soft serve that was paired with it tasted weird. Not a fan of charcoal... meh. They seem to have a lot of rolled ice cream and drinks. Maybe I'll try something else cause what I ordered didn't leave a good impression on me. Not sure if I would come back.. Also, it seemed very packed but we got lucky to snag a seat. It kinda sucks for people who actually need to sit down and enjoy their bingsoo. Can't take that to-go. Been going here for years and the rolled ice cream is still my go to order! They have a variety of flavors and the ambiance is nice and quiet. We ordered the thai tea rolled ice cream w/ grass jelly and a black sesame rolled ice cream w/ mochi and whipped cream. Both flavors were delicious! The thai tea got a tiny bit too sweet for me near the end but the black sesame was pretty balanced throughout. I usually order the matcha flavor but wanted to give the other flavors a try! Not pictured but we also ordered the watermelon bingsoo and it was huge! Definitely worth the price and very refreshing - can be shared between 3-4 people. They also have multiple drinks you can order as well as cute merchandise in the corner of the store. Service was quick and easy. read more

We've come back! Everything on the menu is so good! They do the rolled ice cream which my kids love! I was craving the mango bingsoo!! Didn't realize how big it was! Good for 2-3 people to share!!!! Staff is friendly and fast! They also have self serve kiosk too! read more
We got the cookies and cream rolled ice cream and a mochi-donut (not pictured). The ice cream was great! We didn't care for the toppings as much as we did the ice cream. The cookies on top of the ice cream seemed a little stale, they're were pretty mediocre. The ice cream however was really good! You're able to watch the employees make the ice cream (if you're into that). They also have a few board games that you can play while you hang out in the establishment. Parking in this plaza is limited, so I would recommend parking on the street and walking. read more

Such great service and rolled ice cream! The ambiance was busy on a Friday night but all the workers were still so nice and attentive to customers. There's many options for photo ops and a lot of seating (sadly at this time all of them were taken). I got the fruity pebbles rolled ice cream and it was so delicious, especially because they add it as a topping so theres was a nice crunch along side the fruity flavor. Happy to come back!! read more
Still the best rolled ice cream in the game. I love harder textured ice cream so Bing Haus is my number #1 place to go when wanting dessert. I'm always torn between the strawberry and matcha flavor and even though matcha is my favorite flavor and their matcha is incredible, I get the strawberry 90% of the time. That's how you know how flavorful their ice cream! I never give up matcha! The parking is limited however and I recommend you park on the side street. Service is always fast and you can watch them make your ice cream through the glass! I would say the ambiance is not date-night dessert but college student study spot. Regardless, you won't want to miss this place when in SD! read more

Great for a hot day! We went on a Sunday afternoon and service was pretty quick, despite the place being packed. Whenever we come here, we always get the watermelon bingsu which comes with a side of soft serve. This place is one of our favorite bingsu spots in convoy. read more

#MangoShavedIce during hot summer days is light, refreshing and delicious. A bit pricey but it's a lot and great for sharing. I like how they give you small bowls so you can easily serve. Counter service was okay and you need to know what you want because it's assumed you do. I been with a friend before but I inquired about other items but didn't get much details so I stayed with what I had the last time I was here. read more

I've you've never tried this, then you're missing out! Hop in the car and head over to Bing Haus and order yourself a cup of black sesame rolled ice cream. It has a hint of salt to compliment the sweetness and is so incredibly irresistible. The rolled ice cream is freshly made to order, from scratch. There is a display window where you can watch your dessert transform from a cup of cream to rolls of deliciousness, topped with whipped cream and mochi. This was my first time here and I can't stop thinking about it! One cup will leave you craving for more! Because the orders are made from scratch, there is a bit of a wait, especially if you come on a weekend night, but I promise you it's worth the wait! It's a nice hang out place with a decent amount of tables. Parking can be a challenge in the small and congested lot, so you're better off looking for spaces along one of the quiet streets nearby and taking a little walk. read more

I don't think so, I don't recall seeing it when we went.
Do they have lactose free or non-dairy ice cream or anything yummy?
Not sure about the lactaid free or the dairy free options. They have coffee, tea, and shaved ice which is not a dairy.
