I have been eager to come here for a while; Bingsu is perfect on a hot, summer day! I was ecstatic to discover that they offer 2 portion sizes (small or as their display case -- appreciatively shows visuals of the items and bowls -- reads, "single", or regular/"share"); therefore, I immediately determined I was having my own (removing the decision of which flavor to share)! I ordered Mango (small, $9.50), hubby chose Brown Sugar Boba (small, $8.50); both were attractive in presentation and portion size. The Mango bingsu was served with slices of mango (vs. diced as shown on their menu and visual display); my thoughts are that the diced mango would be easier to spoon; nonetheless, still tasty, ripe fruit. Also, my thoughts are that my bowl may have failed to receive all its ingredients? Outside of the fruit lined topping, the shaved ice was just that, ice; I would've loved to see and taste, perhaps, more sweetened condensed milk. Hubby's bowl was full of flavors, visible throughout the ice -- as was observed at the neighboring table's bowls also. Eating directly out of the bowls is not only more fun & attractive, but the ice holds up better than if transferring to their provided paper share cups. Nice seating options (regular tables and one counter height table) to enjoy one's treats inside. I'm eager to return for more bingsu (hoping for a more flavorful bowl), as well as try their other menu items!

Great bingsu! Very flavorful with a smooth texture. We got the Mon and a half half of strawberry and mango. We also got taiyaki too. They were nicely filled and the texture of the taiyaki had just the right amount of chew. We'll definitely come back if we are in the area again. Oh and we couldn't resist the self service ramen. Good but just the same ramen you can get any where. But it was a nice contrast to the cold Bingsu.

Korean shaved snow in this area is hard to find. This place is not the best fit this dessert, but it's really good for the price and the area which does not have a lot of good Asian desserts unlike Irvine. It's also open late and convenient in a large plaza. They're quick to get the order ready and have 2 size options. Pretty spacious and I've never had an issue with finding a table to sit.

I'm in LOVE! When I got the alert that a new bingsu spot opened close by I knew it was a must. My son absolutely loves bingsu! It was a nice surprise walking in and seeing that they also offer taiyaki, croffle, ramen and boba drinks!!! Binga Boonga is in a plaza right off the freeway - there's plenty of parking so it shouldn't be an issue. The vibe is super welcoming! There's plenty of tables inside and so we were able to order and sit comfortably right away. We appreciate that there was a TV as the kids got hooked on the show that was playing. Ordering was super simple, customer service was great - easy to talk to, he even offered to make the taiyaki later so that it would keep warm, nice vibes! We ordered the single mango bingsu, nutella and custard taiyaki and the matcha bingsu. Serving size is great, everything hit the spot! I would definitely recommend!

Bingsu is like shaved ice but shaved milk instead. It goes well with fruit and the strawberry Bingsu was my favorite! There's also a few different flavors of Taiyaki and my favorite one was the nutella one. There's also servers are very friendly and it's also located next to a lot of food places, so it makes a great after meal dessert! There a good amount of seating and a ramen station in the store.

ORDER matcha bingsoo (2/5) it originally comes with red bean as the topping, but we were able to replace it with our desired toppings. many places refuse to replace the red bean, so this was a plus! we opted for half strawberry and half mango instead of the red bean, which paired perfectly. as for the shave ice, the texture looked good, but i think due to the amount of matcha powder they use in the snow mixture, it melted into "thickened water". after every bite, my mouth felt like i just ate a spoonful of powder. the sprinkle of matcha powder on top did not help and was honestly not needed. the mixture definitely needs less matcha powder and more sugar. it felt like a chore to eat. the perfect solution was adding condensed milk, which the lady was so kind to bring to us. the condensed milk helped A LOT, it was exactly what the bingsoo needed. (+1 star) i do think the owner takes advice given from reviews, as the previous matcha bingsoo had milk snow and now the snow itself is matcha flavored. i'd respectfully suggest to replace the matcha powder sprinkled on top with a drizzle of condensed milk instead. overall, i definitely see the potential of this place. SERVICE service is definitely one the reasons why i'd love to come back! they're very welcoming and accommodating. AMBIANCE they open late and have plenty of seats inside.

There's o-FISH-ally a Korean cafe in Lake Forest now! So excited about the newly opened @binga.boonga , which specializes in Korean style desserts such as their delicate snowflake bingsu, freshly prepared taiyaki and cafe drinks such as their yummy injeolmi latte. Everything was surprisingly well made (since they are a brand new cafe), and very comparable to the quality and authentic ingredients that are used in Korean cafes in LA Koreatown. They also have a self-cooking Korean ramen machine, which cooks the ramen of your choice in under 5 minutes. If you're in the area, definitely check out this rare gem of a Korean cafe in South OC, and support a small, Asian owned business! I loved this place ever since I came looking for a spot to get an ice treat this place is now on my radar and it's very delicious . The place is a clean chill spot with noodles on the side to select. The service is also attentive and even services towards the last minute of closing time.

New Korean cafe that brings you back to Korea just opened in lake forest!! The interior is super spacious and they have bingsoo, lattes, taiyaki, and even a self serve ramen bar! You can get a warm bowl of ramen paired with your favorite drinks and end with a dessert. it's a whole package * strawberry bingsoo (my fav) * melon bingsoo * yogurt smoothie * strawberry matcha latte * taro milk tea * injeolmi latte * custard taiyaki

Straight off the bat, the Bingsu here is good: flavorful, fresh, and well packaged to take home. The owner(?) knew what she was doing behind the counter, and the end result was a masterpiece; it was almost too pretty to eat. The store itself could probably use more food items and cakes in the case but it was clean and well-maintained. I am hoping they succeed but I think it might be the location-it's right next to Starbucks, it's cold and rainy (too wet and cold for an ice dessert), which is why the need for hot food items. Hope this helps because the Bingsu is really yummy.

New Korean bingsu ( shaved ice ) place in lake forest! Their taiyaki is yummy, crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and you can choose different flavors such as red bean, cheese, Nutella, etc. For their bingsu, it's creamy and soft, food to share. They also have an instant ramen station which is cool. It's a good spot to hang out with friends and eat some desserts! Staff are friendly and will answer your questions!

That mango smoothie craving struck again! Found Binga Boonga nearby, super easy to get to. Ordered their mango smoothie, and it was absolutely lit! Ngl, it wasn't *exactly* like the one I had in Thailand, but still crazy delicious. Would've loved some mango chunks like they do in Thailand too, but I savored every sip until I finished every drop! Highly recommended!

We stop by here for a sweet treat on Mother's Day. We ordered the share size Oreo Bingsu shave ice and 50/50 strawberry mango. Both flavors were delicious. The bingsu texture was smooth and the fruits were fresh. We also ordered the taiyaki in red bean, custard, and ham and cheese. Each flavor was tasty. My favorite was the red bean. The staff was friendly and kind. The space had ample room to relax with friends and family. Thanks for an enjoyable time!

5 stars for the goma matcha latte and milk bread with crunchy pearls!…read more The goma matcha latte 5/5 had a black sesame paste that was like the black sesame version of smooth peanut butter! One could probably eat it by the spoonful! Such a complex flavor complement to the matcha latte. The matcha latte (4/5) felt fairly strong (I estimate 4g at least), and the mango puree tasted real/ fresh but was nothing special. However, I did like that it was not too sweet. Caveat: I am partial to mango/coconut milk or mango sticky rice matcha lattes. The goma matcha was worth the $8 pricetag. Tip: Matcha Mondays=10% off matcha drinks! The mango one maybe was worth it due to the amount of matcha, but I do feel like I could make it at home. The milk bread ($5.50) was soft, with a delightful bursting sweet cream filling topped with those shite pearly crunchies-- unique and delicious. I also loved the kinako an pan (sweet bread with red bean filling, $5.50) because of the nostalgic flavors, but also because the azuki bean had a nice crunchy sugar quality. It was on the drier side the day after purchase, but I enjoyed it. Service was cheerful and speedy. The space is pretty large with probably as much outdoor seating as indoor, and there were a few open spots at 1:30 on a Monday. Parking was plentiful in the shared plaza lot with some shady spots. I would drive back just for that goma matcha latte!! Also to try a few other breads or for a nice friend date spot to sit outside.

You order at the register and they'll bring your order to you when it's ready. I got the hojicha latte and added sweetener. The flavor was really good but it was all ice and not fully filled the cup. Felt like without ice it would have filled a shot glass. I got the chicken pesto which was delicious. Had great flavor and portion and I enjoyed the salad it came with. The mango cream bread had a good amount of cream and the filling was delicious. The chocolate cookie was good but so hefty. I ordered the matcha cheesecake and original cheesecake thinking it was the soft and fluffy texture but it had a thick consistency. The matcha was good with a very strong matcha flavor and the original had a slight lemon flavor. I enjoyed all the food and sweets here, but a bit disappointed with their drink portion.
