The staff was very friendly and sweet and explained everything to us since it was our first time there. We got to sample the different ice cream and they even gave us a fresh batch of pistachio ice cream for us to try. We loved the faloodeh and it was our first time ever eating this kind of dessert. It is vermicelli noodles soaked in frozen sugar and rose water. We added a scoop of mango ice cream on top and the sour cherry and lime toppings made it very refreshing. It's great for a hot day. We also tried the Dubai chocolate on bubble waffle. The bubble waffle is denser and thicker than what I'm used to but I really liked the ice cream. read more

Delicious ice cream with a decent variety of flavors. The shop was easy to find, had plenty of parking, and the service was great. The owners were very friendly. It's also priced reasonably. Unfortunately, they did not have Mint Chip ice cream, which is my all-time favorite, so I tried the Ferrero Rocher flavor and really enjoyed it. It tasted just like Nutella. They also have traditional Persian ice creams and a few different flavors of Faloodeh to choose from. The only reason I took off 1 star is because they had run out of the regular Faloodeh and we were told a fresh batch was almost ready. When we got it, it wasn't fully frozen yet, so it was like eating noodles instead of the frozen, slushy, crunchy texture you would expect. Personally, I think it would be great if they started making a Rose or Rose Water flavor ice cream. I bet that would be yummy too! read more

Neighborhood ice cream shop with super friendly owner. All ice cream is homemade. Tried the Ferrero Rocher flavor and was excited to see that they make egg waffle fresh. But, the egg waffle was not the right flavor...it wasn't sweet at all and a bit too doughy to be enjoyed with ice cream. I would recommend sticking with cups or regular waffle cones. Loved seeing that there's a Persian ice cream shop nearby. They carry all the traditional flavors and desserts like Faloodeh, and their mix with saffron flavored ice cream as well. It's a little shop that's decorated simple yet nice, but definitely ask questions about everything if unsure about it and they will help out. I got the Makhlout which is my favorite flavor combination of the Faloodeh (vermicelli like texture) and Persian traditional saffron ice cream. It was just good I would say, maybe I should have tried some other items as well but for what you pay the portions were like a children's portion. I had Persian saffron ice cream and it was honestly excellent. The saffron flavor came through in a really clean way and the ice cream was creamy without feeling heavy. The little pops of pistachio gave it a nice crunch and the hint of rose tied everything together. It tasted fresh and real, not artificial or overly sweet. My favorites were the chocolate and mango. I was a bit disappointed in the other two. The texture of the espresso and pistachio were a bit too icy for my taste (not creamy). Welcome to Yummy Land...where all your ice cream dreams come true. This shop is set off the main street as part of a strip mall (behind Coco's and Baja Fish). They sell fresh fruit & vegetable drinks as well as Faloodeh and ice cream. Their artisan ice cream is made in-house and has no artificial flavors or preservatives. I was there for some ice cream! On my visit they had six flavors to offer: chocolate, vanilla (with walnuts), saffron, pistachio, strawberry, and coffee. The exceptionally friendly woman behind the counter (the owner) offered taste spoons of whatever I wanted to sample. I eventually chose two flavors in separate cups as they didn't seem like a good combination to mix into one cup; strawberry and coffee. If you're a cone person, they also have that option including puffle cones. I sat at one of the cute tables and enjoyed my ice cream. The strawberry was full of fresh flavor with bits of strawberry mixed in. The coffee was the best coffee ice cream I've ever had. My problem with most ice cream shops that offer coffee as a flavor is that it's almost always too weak. This homemade coffee ice cream was bold and strong. The creamy texture was perfect. I would eat a gallon tub of their coffee ice cream every day if the government puts ice cream on the food pyramid (apparently the USDA now calls it "My Plate" which is not nearly as much fun as a pyramid). This wonderful little shop is located right off the 405 and is a the perfect stop if you're heading southward through OC and want a quick and easy ice cream treat or fruit drink. read more

Yummyland is located in a pretty medium sized strip mall where Coco's used to be, across the street from Carl's Jr. Plenty of parking available. I am a big fan of Eastern culture cuisine. They have a dessert called Faloodeh, which is like a starchy hard noodles (think texture like dried ramen) that's flavored with lemon juice and rosewater. It was really tasty when I went. It can be served by itself or with ice cream. I decided to add their saffron ice cream and vanilla with walnuts ice cream. The lemon juice itself really helped open up the flavors. The faloodeh by itself is not of taste but it adds a dimension of texture. It was really enjoyable to eat. It looked like a family running the creamery together. They also offered the bubble waffle.
