3 Piece Honey Butter Tenders with Seasoned Fries
    Heather A.

This was such a roadtrip surprise! Got hungry and it popped up on the map, but no signs, no website.. just show up and find out! This was the best pit stop because they do such a great job with the chicken. Huge portions, not over breaded, juicy and flavorful! The sandwich had fresh pickles to top it off. They have a great secret? Sauce but everything tasted so good didn't need to dip much. We tried the banana and strawberry milkshakes which were amazing, but after being in there for 10 mins we realized their speciality is the date shake- so now we HAVE to go back! The spicy is spicy! And the honey butter is stellar- perfect sweet. Also, the staff were by far the kindest people you'll meet! Very attentive and sweet.

In the middle of nowhere date/milkshake gem! Hand made date shake that's actually super good. Did not try anything else tho. Therefore, the review is only for the shake.

What an awesome chicken sandwich in the middle of nowhere but some where between Baker and Las Vegas on the 15 fwy - this is the place you have to go! The chicken sandwich here is amazingly good and the other items are really good too - shakes, fries, etc. They have sandwiches to go in a display, but skip that and order fresh. It takes a little time, but it's worth it. They have a spicy version, and it is spicy - but good. Order the regular if you can't take spice. Both are good. Go for the combo and get a date shake. Sounds odd but it's really good. Their fries are really good too. Freshly made so hot and crispy. It's seasoned and they also provide a dipping sauce. Order from the counter. The servers are super friendly. This place is located in a gas station mini mart and they sell a variety of snack and drink items. It's a good way to kill time while they make your food fresh. This place is definitely worth a stop on your way to or leaving Vegas.

Finally made the time to stop at this oasis! First off, where do all the people come from?! For being in the middle of no where this place was packed. And mostly people buying lotto tickets oddly. However also a decent line at "Bird House". This gem located within the store is serving some tantalizing chicken sandwiches. We opted for both an original and also a honey butter chicken sandwich. I also got a date shake. First off, the sandwiches are plentiful. Full pieces of chicken not small. Honestly I found both delicious but that honey butter is guilty pleasure. Pickles weren't overwhelming and the bread was nice and soft. Very very good chicken sandwiches and the date shake was the punctuation. It was such a nice blend of sweet and savory. Unique and something I would order again. Do yourself a favor next time driving from LA to Vegas and stop here!

A true oasis in the desert. Just do yourself a favor and stop! This place is an unassuming gas station, store and chicken restaurant all in one - on the way into Las Vegas heading north on the 15. I got the 3 piece meal, spicy with seasoned fries and it was freaking amazing. The chicken was super juicy and was well coated in the spicy rub that numbed my lips more and more with each bite. I didn't try the famed date shake but it seems really popular. The service was amazing and I was greeted and asked if I had any questions about the food right away. I love the review / message board that has some really nice, heart warming messages from fellow travelers and foodies alike.

That chicken with the sauce?! Bruh. *Chefs kiss* This place needs to change their billboards to, "The best chicken in the middle of nowhere!" I've driven to and from Vegas and seen the Date Shake billboards for longer than I can remember. I finally stopped to see what it was all about. Little did I know they have THE BEST chicken, with the best dipping sauce (it's kinda like a honey mustard but not), AND some fat crinkle cut seasoned fries that are super good. That's a big deal coming from someone who isn't a fan of crinkle cut fries lol. They have honey butter, spicy and some other flavor I can't remember for the chicken. The date shake was pretty mild in flavor but extra sweet. You could tell the dates were fresh. TBH I'd probably go for a strawberry or chocolate banana next time since they let you combine flavors. A 3 piece honey butter tender box and shake came out to $24.76. The tendies were thicc. Definitely shareable. Everything is cooked to order so it's hot af when it comes out the fryer. The Bird House is situated inside the gas station, aka Cima Mining Co. that also a doubles as a souvenir shop. They sell all kinds of knick-knacks, drinks, flavored sodas, ice cream and snacks. You can even get your fortune told by the great Zoltar. Take the Cima exit. You won't be disappointed.

Whooooo wheeeee....Their chicken sandwich is soooooo freaking good!!! I stumbled upon Bird House while driving up to Vegas after spotting a sign claiming they had the best date shake -- and as a date lover, I had to make a quick stop. What I didn't expect was finding a spot that also serves up incredible chicken sandwiches! I ordered both the date shake and a chicken sandwich, and wow -- I'm so glad I did. The shake was phenomenal -- not overly sweet, super refreshing, and honestly one of the best I've had. The chicken sandwich? Absolutely next level. Crispy, flavorful, juicy, I loved the honey it was sweet and spicy -- I devoured every single bite. Solid 5 stars. The shop also sells a variety of snacks and drinks, which I didn't have time to explore, but I definitely will next time. A special shoutout to Doc, who helped me out -- he was such a sweetheart and super friendly, which made the experience even better. This place is a total hidden gem and 100% worth the stop. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone passing through!

This place was located inside of a gas station convenience store. The inside of the store is pretty big and clean. Service was fast. The employees were nice. My coworker's order was messed up- she wanted the infamous date shake, but got a regular vanilla shake instead. They gladly switched the order out without question. FYI- if you want the date shake, make sure you specify both the flavor of your shake and ask for the date option. Less added sugar I guess (dates add a natural sweetness). I also ordered the infamous chicken sandwich (spicy). It was pretty big in size and nice and juicy, but I would've liked a bit more flavor. Can't have it all! I was hungry and it was more than enough for one person. Also, the shake and sandwich cost almost $17. Thats a little pricey for a has station, but, these are the times we live in! I would say, try this place out if you're hungry. You will get

Luckily there was no line when we entered. I found out about this eatery when I was googling places to eat on our way home from Vegas. After reading that 99% of the reviews were good, I said, we have to go try this place to see if the reviews are real or not. If they're not, I'll be so disappointed. I was iffy about the fact that it was inside a little store in the middle of nowhere. However, the food was amazing. Service was good, normal, and a bunch of people kept coming inside to use the restrooms. Women's restrooms are filthy here. I'd avoid them if possible. There are really no good chicken sandwiches like this one here in LA. GIVE IT A SHOT! You won't regret it!

Staff was friendly and patient and helpful. The order came up quick. And it was cooked perfectly. It was seriously the best chicken sandwich and shake I've ever had. Worth the splurge. And worth budgeting for in future trips. And it's super filling. I even shared with my dog and still couldn't finish the last two bites. So glad I decided to stop and eat here. I actually feel like I ate real food for once. I'm jealous of my dog enjoying her food coma. But I gotta keep driving.

The bun was kind of dry and the pickles are not dill. Today I wanted to try their breakfast... First thing I saw was the cleaner out making sure the drive through was free of debris and clean. I started with the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich. The biscuit itself was excellent--fluffy, buttery, and easily the best part of the sandwich. Unfortunately, the eggs seemed more like loose scrambled eggs and kept falling out with every bite, making the sandwich messy and a little disappointing. The chicken biscuit sandwich, on the other hand, was outstanding. The chicken was fried perfectly--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and had just the right amount of spice. Combined with Bojangles' incredible biscuit, it made for a fantastic sandwich. Adding a little honey mustard took it to another level. The cashier was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. While I probably wouldn't order the breakfast sandwich again, I'd definitely come back for the chicken biscuit.
