We tried this place out because of the multiple positive reviews. We ordered takeout and despite them missing my 12ct nuggets. When I called, they were more than willing to have us come back. They provided extra sauces and was very apologetic for their mistake. The food was DELICIOUSLY GOOD and we will be returning in the near future. I like that even though they made a mistake, they took accountability and made it up to us. That is what makes a company outshine from the others.

So, I came here after seeing that a local foodie I follow came and reading his review... Plus, I'm always seeking out authentic and amazing Nashville-style hot chicken (so many make hot chicken sandwiches and feel because they put commercial hot sauce on them and call them a "hot chicken sandwich" that they are - but they're simply not!). I got there right before they opened, which was my plan, as I needed to hurry and hop on a flight and they took care of me a few mins before opening. Service was very quick and efficient, taking about 10 mins total to make my meal, as they make them to order. They have several levels of heat: the basic is nothing, the next up has a cajun hot spice seasoning, the next level up has cayenne added, the next level up after that has habanero and then there's another level. I opted for the cayenne level. The meal came out piping hot... I went for the waffle fries first - OUTSTANDING!! Not sure if they do these in-house, but I've never had waffle fries done like Checkers, with a slight batter and great flavor (but not the Checkers-style seasoning). Really good! My only grip is they need a dipping sauce for them. But they did stand alone quite well. The sandwich was AMAZING!! I was shocked, it instantly reminded of the original place who started the hot chicken sandwich craze - Prince's. The seasoning is a dry seasoning, clearly added after being fried. It was heavy, not salty, but loaded with flavor! Even though I opted for the cayenne level, it wasn't hot enough to make me sweat and I typically sweat thinking about spicy food (I'm sweating now typing this!). The chicken portion was thick and was perfectly fried to not be dry, the batter was spot-on and the bun was outstanding too! The pickles were a great addition as well. Only suggestion is they make a sauce of their own for the sandwich, instead of using mayo. They recently opened this location and it looks like they're still upfitting the inside, so I ate outside, but it was a beautiful day, so no problem. They do have bottles and cans, not sure if they have the rest of their spirits yet. Highly recommend stopping in here to experience an authentic Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich! I'll most definitely be back in a couple of months to see how things are once they level out.

This is my first time here, and I just noticed it. I'm not sure how long it's been open. I met some colleagues here. If you plan to visit, note that it's more of a place for pick-up or delivery. They have three tables inside and a few outside. When you arrive, whether dining in or ordering to go, you use a kiosk to place your order. I found it interesting that their chicken spice levels range from 'not hot' to 'Hot AF'. I received my food within 10 minutes or less, and the price was reasonable--$14.98 for a meal and water, which might be the same or cheaper than Chick-fil-A. However, the fries and chicken were only okay; the flavor was lacking. I chose the bird sauce, but the chicken was just average. Overall, it's not something to rave about.

Bird on the run is the BEST chicken fingers and waffle fries I have ever had. I also love the bird sauce and the spicy mayo. I normally get the chicken fingers at the hot af spice level, but I had to try the RIP level at the mt Lebanon location. SO good. It was very hot, but I love it hot anyways. 10/10. Our waitress did warn me that it is made with Carolina reapers, but I went for it! The inside of the restaurant was cute too - this was the first location where I ate inside. I had to take my friend because she never had it and we had raising cane's the week prior and it was so mid compared to bird, that I had to take her.

Sometimes you just want chicken tenders, and this is as good a place to get them as any. Good chicken, good fries. Get the bird sauce!

This is a modern quick serve restaurant ordering online or at a kiosk, pickup at counter. Employees seem stressed but friendly enough. The medium can vary from mildly hot to very hot, so YMMV on the spice level. Definitely competes with other local chains. It's not like Dave's Hot Chicken, or Joella's in KY but not bad!

But I was prepared for it with extra napkins. The ordering process was via kicks. I should've known that it would take some effort when the woman in front let me go ahead since she said she didn't want to slow down the line. It's not an intuitive process. And no one stationed at the front counter to help. Took a while to figure out how to get fries without it being automatically combined with the drink. Nice touch to get people to pay more! Finally found the fries separately! Definitely not an easy process. They will text you when the order is ready. Nice! Bathroom was really dirty but at least my order was ready earlier than expected! Came here for the sandwich and it was painfully dry without much taste although the honey added some sweetness. Unlike Chick-fil-A where the sandwich can stand on its own, and the sauce just enhances it, there's no way I could eat this sandwich without some accompaniment. So dry. The fries were pretty soggy where I like a certain crunch. Reminiscent of 5 guys fries but much less portioned and much thinner. Good taste but nothing crave-able and very greasy. Service was nonexistent which is why I didn't leave a tip on the kiosk screen. Why do restaurants do this anyway?!? Why do I tip for service I haven't received?!? Finally, how can they possibly charge!$11 for their sandwiches. The regular sandwich starts at $11 as was my hot honey which really wasn't all that hot anyway. That's more than twice the cost of a Chick-fil-A! Next time I'm going to get both a spicy and regular Chick-fil-A and still have money leftover. Maybe I'll get their waffle fries too. At least, I won't have to waste time on a kiosk to figure out how to add it to my order!

They have two lanes, but when I was there only one was open (so there was a slight wait). You could actually clearly hear and understand the person through the speaker which doesn't always happen. The menu is fairly limited (you can basically only get chicken tenders or a chicken sandwich) so the only choice is how many fingers and if you want a combo or things individually. I chose a three piece box which comes with a piece of bread, the tenders, crinkle fries and a sauce. While I really enjoy their fries and think their chicken strips are great, it is a bit pricey for fast food. Generally, though, the process was easy, my order was right and the place looked clean.

We decided to go inside because this location had the worst parking lot and drive through I've ever experienced. There isn't a lot of room to ride around and get the proper format of getting through. It's designed kind of off. So you have to be careful of you end up back on the road and having to drive further away to come back on the right side. It's easier to park and walk inside. Anyway ... the ambiance was nice. Everyone was friendly and efficient. We selected the box meal which consisted of 4 fingers and fries along with a drink. I'm not the biggest chicken finger fan. These were good but nothing exceptional. The sauce makes the meal. The sauce is really the star of the show. It's a chipotle, old bay type flavor that has an awesome taste. We were headed back on the road, so it served as a great meal to be on the go. The restaurant was very clean and all the items you needed were on the counter and fully stocked.

It's honestly pathetic especially for the price they want to charge I used to enjoy bird on the run However over the past two years it gotten worse and worse every time to the point I will never come here again and advise everyone to stay away...better off going to chic fila where practically a child can deliver a better sandwich and food than this "establishment" also think this is my first negative review I ever left that's how bad it was.
