    Crab rangoon fries
    Jocelyn N.

I have been waiting for so long to try out Given to Fly and when I won one of their social media contests, I went right away. I noticed that their line seemed to be longest inside Federal Galley and there's a reason: it's worth it. Aside from the crab rangoon fries I received for free, friends and I ordered some chicken fingers and tots that came with a bacon cheddar dip. Every single thing we had was crunchy, fresh and tasted delicious. I'd recommend the crab rangoon fries 10 times over -- they come with a cream cheese crab mixture, green onions and sweet chili sauce. They have tons of other fry combinations and such a variety of chicken sandwiches that I'd love trying as well.

    Crab Rangoon fries... so good!

We ordered takeout from Given to Fly, located inside of Federal Galley. We ordered a plain Jane (mayo and pickles) chicken sandwich and the crab Rangoon fries. The service was great- the lady taking our order was super friendly and helpful. Our food took around 10-15 to prepare which was fine especially since it was busy that night. The chicken sandwich lacked a bit for me. The positive is that it was a nice sized piece of chicken and it was cooked great. However the flavor was lacking. I think the chicken needs some seasoning. However... those crab Rangoon fries?! I will order from Given to Fly again and again for those fries. They are large so one order is definitely shareable for multiple people. I will visit back to try some other menu options (and to order those fries again, lol)

    Nashville hot with pickles

I stopped by here a couple of Thursdays ago with my wife and kids for lunch. Since it's one of the concept restaurants inside the Federal Galley, there's not too much to say about the inside other than there are a number of shared tables that you can sit at and you can help yourself to water and plates. One thing that I enjoyed is each table had a QR code you could scan and then order and pay for any or all of the restaurants. From Given to Fly I ended up ordering their Nashville hot sandwich. The menu described it as Nashville Hot with Pickles ("Hot" is in the name; Proceed with caution! Please feel free to come ask us about it if you're unsure) and I was impressed whenever it came to the table. It was larger than I had expected and looked super spicy. The chicken itself ended up being cooked perfectly as it was moist and juicy. Then the bun was toasted nicely and held up to all of the nashville hot sauce which was on there which I appreciated. As for the sauce, yeah it was definitely spicy and delicious. It didn't blow my head off but it was enough that I was slightly uncomfortable upon finishing and I do love spicy food! The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I loved both my sandwich and the sauce here and love that they didn't mess around and brought the heat.

I had wanted to try Given to Fly at Federal Galley for a long time. I'm obsessed with fried chicken and am always looking for a good one. So glad we finally did! My husband, our friend, and I all had their delicious fried chicken sandwiches. My husband and I had the plan version which was really good. The chicken was really crispy, moist and flavorful. Our friend had the Korean BBQ one and he really liked it. He said the sauce was a little bit spicy but not too bad. We all loved the waffle fries. They were so crispy, a little spicy and so good. Definitely go try it out. I'd like to try the other types. I love buffalo chicken and blue cheese. That sounds so good.

I'm torn in this review as I genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere, the portions were plentiful, and the speed with which the food was ready was second to none! However, the chicken sandwich didn't live up to my expectations and it didn't stand up to some of the other Nashville Hot Chickens I've had in PGH. I don't consider myself a sandwich snob, but I was let down that the hot chicken seemed to be all heat on the outside, but the chicken itself was bland. My wife said the same thing of her chicken filet too. I also didn't think there were enough pickles and I couldn't taste the ones that were there either. Hopefully it was just not the right night for me, and I'd like to come back and try something different--but in the meantime I'll get my Nashville hot from some of the other establishments.

    Chicken tenders and fries

I hate leaving restaurants bad reviews because I know how many variables and elements go into producing food. That being said, this restaurant really does deserve a 1-star. I ordered chicken tenders and fries which is really hard to mess up. The breading fell off of the chicken tenders and made them mushy. The chicken was unseasoned and was way too thick. The fries were oily and mushy. Lastly, the service was poor. The woman who took my order seemed disinterested. Skip this place and try something else.

I have tried given to fly a handful of times. The waffle fries on the best thing on their menu! I went for brunch and got the hot honey chicken biscuit. It was not what I expected, I was expecting the sandwich to have hot honey on it. It was just hot sauce. Also the biscuit was so cold it made the sandwich even less enjoyable. I have also tried the buffalo chicken sandwich which was good but it was messy.

Sandwich as big as your face! So hard to pick what to get but went with nobu. Spicy but absolutely manageable. The breading is so light that it makes you feel more like you're eating a grilled chicken sandwich with crunchies on top. Such great breading. Prepare to be full for days after!

This review is purely based on the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was inedible. The chicken was fried well and it looked nice but that hot sauce they put on it was not it. It was more like a dry rub than a sauce so when you took a bite, you would taste spicy dry seasoning bits in your mouth. It's also not as spicy as the menu claims. We had to take the L and order something else. I might try just the regular chicken sandwich next time.

    Truffalo chicken sandwich

New restaurant concept at the Federal Galley. Lots of chicken option, many different types of chicken sandwiches. Stopped by and had the Truffle that is a truffle infused buffalo sane with lots of sharp and tasty blue cheese and green onions. Really a good chicken sandwich with a buffalo sauce that had a nice amount of spice. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items.

The chicken was great. Really large portions. Crispy chicken and still juicy. Staff, ok., food was the star. Chicken itself is 5 stars.

They have two lanes, but when I was there only one was open (so there was a slight wait). You could actually clearly hear and understand the person through the speaker which doesn't always happen. The menu is fairly limited (you can basically only get chicken tenders or a chicken sandwich) so the only choice is how many fingers and if you want a combo or things individually. I chose a three piece box which comes with a piece of bread, the tenders, crinkle fries and a sauce. While I really enjoy their fries and think their chicken strips are great, it is a bit pricey for fast food. Generally, though, the process was easy, my order was right and the place looked clean.

We decided to go inside because this location had the worst parking lot and drive through I've ever experienced. There isn't a lot of room to ride around and get the proper format of getting through. It's designed kind of off. So you have to be careful of you end up back on the road and having to drive further away to come back on the right side. It's easier to park and walk inside. Anyway ... the ambiance was nice. Everyone was friendly and efficient. We selected the box meal which consisted of 4 fingers and fries along with a drink. I'm not the biggest chicken finger fan. These were good but nothing exceptional. The sauce makes the meal. The sauce is really the star of the show. It's a chipotle, old bay type flavor that has an awesome taste. We were headed back on the road, so it served as a great meal to be on the go. The restaurant was very clean and all the items you needed were on the counter and fully stocked.

Now, I am going to take you on a journey just like the books Belle read so strap in. We had a 5:45 PM reservation, and even arrived a few minutes early. The hostess/employee (I don't want to assume positions) took me upstairs for a table right by the window, which will be an awesome view when the construction finishes. It was also a beautiful sight of that part of the city as-is. When I was seated, I was one of a few tables seated. It was not full or even busy at that time. Also, as we were seated, we were given waters. My friend joined me about 5-7 minutes after the reservation time. We then ordered our drinks at about 6:00/6:05 PM. From there, we waited and did not meet our waiter, who will be referred to as sweet baby angel Max from here on out, until about 6:20 PM. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees at around this time. Our orders had some modifications but nothing major. By this time, many more tables were seated upstairs and others seemingly received their alcoholic drinks and even appetizers by the time we received only our drinks around 6:30-6:40. Our drinks were big, too, which is great, but that also meant we had to drink them a little more quickly due to the time constraints with the show. We were enjoying ourselves but noticed multiple more tables receiving not only their drinks and apps but also their entrees. Once 6:55 came, we had to tell sweet baby angel Max about our predicament. I will be honest and say we suggested for our drinks to be comped at least - not only for the wait and lack of courtesy with everyone else receiving their items before us despite our arrival and reservation time, but for the fact that we would have maybe 15 minutes to eat, finish our drinks, pay, take our food back to our cars, and make curtain time. What sweet baby angel Max did next flabbered our gasts -- he said not only will our drinks be comped but our whole meal will be comped. He also helped pack our food and kept it in the back so we didn't have to worry about going back to our cars. We made sure to tip him with all we had! We are so glad we did because when we returned after the show, he had the kitchen remake the food and kept it warm for us. When you go to The Eagle, ask for sweet baby angel Max and you will not be disappointed with him, the service, or the food. Because even when they may mess up? The Eagle gets it right with their classy attitude and positive treatment of their customers. You definitely have multiple return customers just from this encounter. Thank you!!!

Located in north o, it is located next to all the other shops and restaurants in the area. Street parking only but it shouldn't be difficult to find a spot nearby. My group ordered a ton of different chicken options. What we ordered is on the last pic but our favorite was either the whole fried chicken or the spicy chicken wings. The space is small but has a couple 4 top/ bar seating. Food came out relatively quickly and the service was top notch. The boba selection was awesome, so many flavors and the tapioca itself was pretty QQ (for all my hardcore boba fans) and tasty. Although I just tried the chicken, the noodle soups on their menu looks authentic and delicious so I'll have to try them next time! Definitely check this place out. I am more of a wing sauce versus a dry rub person and while all the flavors of our wings were tasty, the sweet chili chicken and soy and garlic sauces really hit the spot for me! The chicken was perfectly crispy and while I love 98k Hamburger, it is less oily than their chicken which can be nice. The regular fried chicken is a bit less seasoned than that of 98k so really it's up to you and your preference.
