An extremely large Whole Foods. The last time we were here they were going through a reformat after the merger. Things felt really sparce given the amount of store space. Wanted to go here, drove all the way there and they had just closed. Apparently they recently changed their hours and close at 9:30 instead of 10 but did not update on google. Drove 20 minutes each way for nothing. While I was sitting in my car after this realization, 4 other people came after me. Friendly and accommodating and you don't have to fight anyone for a parking spot. There's a parking structure with two levels right out front. I recently had foot surgery and got to experience how accessible this store is. They had the aisles clear and the electric carts charged. The elevators are conveniently placed right where the electric carts are parked as well. The gender neutral restrooms are nice and big making it easy to crutch in and out of. Only complaint was that the trash can was overflowing but not so much that it was a hazard. They have bike racks out front making it easy to bike and park out front for all the belmar customers. They also provide a lot of indoor and outdoor seating for drinking coffee or eating your lunch. This WFs especially does a great job in the seafood department. I've had many different requests handled through their department and each time they've been able to prepare my fish just the way I want. read more

I love what the Belmar location has done to the store. It's so nice inside. They added a new restaurant called YellowBelly Chicken! I went on their opening day and it was delicious!!! I had the West Vail Chicken Sandwich and their smashed potato fries. Um yummmmm!! KBCO was giving away Lumineers tickets during the time I was there, bonus!! I love their new juice bar as well super fresh and not that expensive. They always have amazing lattes as well. The sushi rolls at this location are super fresh and during the summer they make a rainbow roll with strawberries, mango and REAL crab meat, so good!! I really enjoy the guys at the meat counter at this location, they are seriously the most friendly helpful set of gentlemen than any other location I have been to. So next time you are in Belmar check out this location. read more

It was my birthday today and my favorite cake is the berry chantilly cream cake. I stopped by for one around 6-7pm and they were fresh out. I was having a hard day and just broke out in tears right in the bakery department. A couple minutes into my meltdown Christine from the bakery offered to make me a fresh one. In fact she insisted. This made my whole night... as I walk up with my brother to check out I still can't hide my sobbing and the sweet cashier, didn't catch her name, offered me a hug. I graciously said no knowing that would make me even more of a mess and she continued to comfort me with "well I'm here if you change your mind". Bless these 2 girls hearts for having to see such a hot mess right at the end of their shifts but I just want to make it known they really made a difference in my day. There are still some good people out there. read more

I bought an expired bottle of Black Cohosh here once. They gladly exchanged it and told me not to worry - all that expires is the potency, but my PMSing could still be significantly curbed. I decided to refrain from throwing a fit at the counter because the lady was so wonderfully sweet. I can't help how shiny this store is. Everything is shiny. Signs, fruit, boxes, shopping carts, ice cream, cashiers. Sometimes I have the unstoppable urge of running across the floor in brand new shoes, halting and squeaking with glee. I have to congratulate this chain for one thing - suckering rich people into thinking recycling and organic foods are a "fad". Because hey, if they're not going to willingly fork over money for major causes like the World Food Programme, you might as well dupe them into thinking that their act of sheer, humane kindness could quite possibly make them look cool at the next cocktail party. "Oh. My. God. That UN bag helping a starving DR Congo orphan child looks SO chic next to your tray of Tofurky hors'devours! I'm a big fan of this particular whole foods location. It's so much bigger, cleaner, and less cramped than other stores I've been to. Because of this, it's much easier to shop and find what you need. Parking is plentiful and you don't have to feel like you're bracing yourself to fight over a parking spot. Bottom line: it's NOTHING like the cap hill or cherry creek locations. read more

If I had a million dollars (if I had a million dollars) I'd shop at Whole Foods (oh yes I'd shop at Whole Foods)... I love Whole Foods. Love it, love it, LOVE it. Alas, I cannot afford it. As much as it pains me to knock a star off my review simply because I'm a poor-ass person whose good taste is far out of whack with her meager bank account, I have to do it. Why? Because I KNOW you can sell good, organic, local food for a lot cheaper than Whole Foods chooses to (*cough*SunflowerMarket*cough*). So I'm docking them a star for greed. That said, I LOVE this new(ish) Belmar location. The parking is beyond awesome (I'll never deal with the suck that is the Cherry Creek location ever again, if I can help it). The store is huge and gorgeous and well-stocked (although they don't carry unsweetened carob chips in bulk... and I cannot for the life of me figure out WHY). The people are friendly and knowledgeable. If you go at the right time, on the right day, you can snack on enough free samples to constitute a good solid lunch. All of that is awesome. But the best part of this Whole Foods is BY FAR AND AWAY, the pre-made food area. No lie, when my husband and I can't agree on a place to go out to eat, we go here. He can get his grilled sausage and fries and I can get my sushi. Or my Indian food (he calls it "throw up." nice.). Or my Big Ass Salad. Or my fabulous deli sandwich (try the procuitto, brie, and fig spread on ciabatta... a steal for less than $7). And we can both get gelato for dessert. After I hit the Powerball Jackpot I'll do ALL my shopping here... but for now, it's a special treat. Very special... read more

Yeah, time to update the review. Yes, it's huge, and yes, the hot "Prepared Foods" area is good. When there is food on it. I called and asked until what time they stocked FRESH HOT FOOD on the bar. I arrived an hour before that time, and was greeted with empty steaming pans, dried bits of peas masala (Ew!) and half-empty soup areas. Couple that with the INSANELY high prices, snooty attitudes, and hellish parking lot, and even this Super Spectacular Larger-Than-Life Whole Foods slips a few notches down the scale of awesome-ness. read more

So my Personal Trainer has me adjusting my diet to eat healthy and burn calories. I ventured into King Soopers and was horrified at the lackluster looking salads and how small they were. So i left and Went to Whole Foods across the street. And its like a whole different world. If it wouldnt break my bank account rather quickly I would do all my shopping here. Picked up a Premade Kale salad with chicken and bread pudding. I have to indulge a little. And from looking at the salads you can make yourself to the Saag Paneer and Chicken Adobo they had out as well. I fell in love with Whole Foods yet again. The employees were freidnly and gracious and it seems like theres a bit more variety of perpared foods here than at most locations. I've always thought of Whole Foods as the Saks 5th Ave. of grocery stores--overpriced and intimidating. I've avoided doing actual grocery shopping there for years because didn't want to find out first hand if the nickname "Whole Paycheck" rings true. I'll admit that some of the items are indeed expensive, but in most cases, you get what you pay for--high quality products free from artificial flavors, preservatives, and other toxins. And it also depends on what you're buying. If you want a bunch of produce out of season, then sure, expect to pay a hefty premium. But if you're smart about what you buy and stick to what's in season, then you really shouldn't have a problem coming up with a healthy, wholesome menu for the week. Plus, they have a ton of sales and have stacks and stacks of coupon books posted throughout the store. You really can save as long as you're savvy. I'll also note that this is a particularly nice location. Big, beautiful, and well-lit with plenty of room in the aisles for side-by-side shopping carts without the frightening and embarrassing game of bumper cars. They also offered free samples on some great products that I actually considered purchasing. We even got to talk to a couple of the associates about the fresh fish and soup selection. It was our first time at this store, but I've already got my eye on what I'd like to get the next time around. Overall, shopping here was a fairly pleasant experience that showed me it's okay to splurge on good food. What you put into your body really does make a difference. read more

This Whole Foods is pretty new and me likey. This store seems more welcoming just from the way it was designed. I love that there is an outdoor but covered patio so that customers can lounge and enjoy their meal or snack. I stopped in on the way back from Abasin to pick up a few things for a quick little surprise Thank You dinner for a friend. I just grabbed a couple plastic containers of marinated pitless olives and some marinated mozarella cheese/mushrooms/artichokes. Then hit up the salad bar where I grabbed some mixed greens, raspberries, strawberries then hit up the cheese/meat counter for a wedge of Cambazola (my friend's fave and now pretty much my fave cheese... think combo of brie and blue cheese uh yum) and a few slices of prosciutto. When I arrived at my friends I just threw the marinated olives, mushroom, artichokes and bell peppers in a saute pan with some oilve oil, capers, garlic and white wine. Threw in a an of stewed tomatoes in garlics and basil and let simmer for while. Tossed that with some thinner style fetuccini, imported parmesan and fresh mozarella for some cheesy goodness and topped with fresh blkack pepper. That simple! For the salad, I just threw in some balsamic vinegarette and shook it around in the box. Plated it and topped it with some sweetened almonds (that I got from the bin), fresh prosciutto, 1 piece of fried prosciutto and some Cambazola cheese. Again easy as pie. Sorry, I got a little carried away there, so back to Yelping. I had a solid expereince here until I picked up some steamed white rice alongside my Indian Spiced Turkey Meatball. It smelled so good, I couldn't resist. The meatball was fine, tasty and moist. However, the steamed rice wasn't cooked through and I do enjoy rice with my Indian flavored foods. Other than that my expereince there was quite lovely and the staff super friendly. read more

I love Whole Foods and I'm very happy that it's located very close to where I live, even though my wallet says no. It seems like every time I go there, no matter how few I bought, I always spend no less than $50. I guess it's my magic number :-) The fresh produce and seafood are awesome. They are fresh and has a lot of varieties. However, when buying strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, I'd recommend you check the packaging entirely. I found some that had a bee in the container and some already had mold/fungus developed. The freshly cooked, ready-to-go meals are delicious and you can choose from many different cuisine, from Asian to Italian to BBQ or salads. A bit pricey, but it's yummy nonetheless and you save time for prepping and cooking. The cheese section is also my favorite thing. And to think that I used to hate cheese when I was a kid! LOL And at last...The bakery and dessert section... oh....so delightful! We tried German Chocolate cake, Tiramisu and Blueberry bread pudding and they're heavenly. I can go on and on and on about Whole Foods, the experience there has never been disappointing. I just wish I could spend more to enjoy all the goodness that it offers. read more

I have shopped at this store since it opened. It is blocks from my home. It used to be superb; I would have given it 5 stars two years ago. It ALL changed when Bezos bought WF and it just became an Amazon delivery warehouse - not exaggerating! The produce dept. has gone downhill. The meat department has suffered. The deli and bakery offerings are 1/3 what they were formerly. Unlike the past years, when I shop there it is barely busy. What a surprise, not. The Sprouts Market in this neighborhood does a thriving business since Whole Foods has declined. Thanks, Jeff Bezos, for ruining my wonderful store. read more

Going to Whole Foods, especially the Belmar location, is always an adventure. It's a real treat to go there. The layout is very nice, and there are plenty of knowledgeable staff that care what you are looking for and can educate you on their products. They have pretty much heard of it all. When I first went vegetarian about 5-6 years back, they helped me understand supplements, what I need to focus on, etc. Even today, it's just so much fun to go. Their pizza and sushi bars are fantastic, and the free samples are always fun to scout out. Great hangout place, and the entire facility is not only a knowledgeable experience, but fun and welcoming. I don't make my way to WF very often. If I did, my wallet would cry (as if it isn't already). When I do get to go and actually fill up a grocery cart, it feels like a real treat. With that being said, this is my favorite WF by far. It is huge! I could get lost here for hours and be totally content with it. I love to browse their cheese selection and enjoy the many samples that are given out. I always walk away with a little more cheese then I know what to do with. Their sea food selection is also great. I bought the best salmon I have ever had the other day. It was perfectly marbled. This will continue to be my WF when I am in the mood to head to this chain. read more

If only this was one level, I'd like it so much more! There's something about parking in a gigantic garage and having to take an escalator just to buy milk and eggs really bothers me. Way too big. However, once you're on the second level, you have tons of options in the fresh food sections, so that's nice and makes it worthwhile to go there for higher quality food than you'd find elsewhere. Sure it is pricey, which is a bummer, but they offer far better products than other places (soopers, ahem). So there's a trade off. Also, the coffee place in the whole foods was pretty disappointing. They had some Vietnamese iced coffee, which was awful. Don't order that, tasted nothing like the real deal. The other negative is that the wine and spirits shop is on the lower level of the garage and to get there it's like some speakeasy maze. Long story short, don't go to whole foods if you want to do quick shopping. It's basically the ikea of grocery stores. read more

It's most likely more reviews for Whole Foods than you have under your belt. This one is really nice. My brother and I had breakfast here before heading out on the road for a while. Breakfast was decent. The bathrooms were decent. The parking was underground. I am a fan of Whole Foods in general and like all of the Denver/Boulder stores. But the Belmar location is my favorite. The selection of, well, everything is terrific. Parking is never a problem and the staff friendly and helpful. The olive, soup and salad bars are always fresh and far superior to other chains. This was originally posted 09/09/2007 at the cherry creek location review. I didn't mention the mostly no-waiting coffee bar with FRESHLY ROASTED coffee. How did I not mention that? the Belmar location at Alameda and Wadsworth is the largest WF in the state. Although still a high dollar market it doesn't have the same snob feel or appeal of the Cherry Creek store. They have some seating around some of the prepared-to-order counters and a larger patio than CC. Good stone oven (gas fired) pizza but sadly the fresh fish grill bar has been changed. Free samples, a fantastic bakery/dessert, cheese, salad, and all the other spend $50 on lunch areas are here too. I go for the things I can't find anywhere else cheaper or when I'm just in the mood to blow a chunk of change on some better than average food. read more

Large parking lot, large market, very clean and stocked with your standard Whole Foods fare. Everything is, of course, just hugely expensive -- usually 25% more than you'll find at Natural Grocers which, btw, is a far better store. I don't like that Whole Foods is waiting until 2018 to label GMOs, either. For as much as they'd love us to believe they are trend-setting Greenies, they're really not. The almighty dollar reigns supreme here, just as in every other location. When I have the extra money and am not near a Natural Grocers I'll pop in, but it's rare -- and I never buy a lot. I feel icky spending too much at a place that portrays itself as green and Earth conscious while at the same time overcharging for produce and other items and STILL not labeling GMOs. read more

This store has a huge beautiful layout, with many on site food bars to keep your tummy full of good things. They also had an abundance of samples going when I visited recently, which is always a plus while your shopping. The samples convinced me to purchase some chocolate truffles and some organic black tea...mmm.. There is plenty of parking at this location, but be careful of the retarded drivers in the parking lot... it can get a little crazy ;) read more

I love the Belmar Whole Foods.I am in agreeance with Monica V. that this is the best Whole Foods out there. Although I've never been to the Austin store and I heard that since that one is the flagship store it's the best. Anyway, Belmar and the Cherry Creek location are about the same distance, but I go every Saturday or Sunday morning to the Lakewood shop to purchase my produce and a few other goodies. Why? Not only does it have amazing customer service, the best produce quality and selection I've seen in CO, but it has an amazing prepared food section: Chilis, Soups, Sushi, Pasta, Pizza, BBQ, Gelato. It also has a great health and beauty section with an esthetician there. Sure the Cherry Creek and other locations have many of these treats, but the one thing they don't have is the spacious layout that Belmar does. I have often felt cramped when I go to the Cherry Creek location and I DREADED going to the Boulder store when I lived there. And feeling that way makes me very nervous and I want to get out quick. But not Belmar, I feel I can breathe, grab a great cup of coffee and take my time while shopping, enjoying a few tasty samples along the way. This isn't all good, as I also spend more since I spend more time when I go to this location. That's probably the only downside with Whole Foods in general, the prices...there's a reason it earned the nickname Whole Paycheck! But there is something to be said about getting what you pay for as well. read more

I typically don't like Whole Foods, to be honest. It's expensive and sometimes I want a particular brand that they just don't carry. Like Cheerios. Sometimes I just WANT Cheerios-brand Cheerios. But nope - only fancy-schmancy brand Cheerios are carried by Whole Foods. Having said that, I went in this store last night to purchase some petroleum-free products and I was very impressed by how nice it is. I also ended up purchasing some flowers and some tea because I couldn't help myself. It ALMOST made me want to grocery shop at Whole Foods, almost. I might give it a try... This Wholefoods location is my favorite for many reasons, the first one is because the employees are very helpful when needed specially one, Jake who works in the prep food court area, we know him for more than 10 years. Jake gives this location a sense of community, he is always happy to help gives an excellent costumer service and has a welcoming attitude. For example we go every Sunday for breakfast, bacon, coffee, milk and bagett, IF the bacon is gone he makes sure we leave with bacon because he will go out of his way to make some for us. We can go on with this kind of gestures that wants me to keep choosing this store. Thank you Jake for all you do, thank you whole foods for keeping Jake happy. read more

This is the Holy Grail of Whole Foods. When I moved to Denver, I drove around to every Whole Foods in a reasonable distance for some made-in-house tortillas. This is the only one that has them. And they're worth the 30-minute drive from Westminster. My boyfriend thinks I'm insane to drive to Lakewood to grow grocery shopping, but this really is the best of the best. It's just so PRETTY. And BIG. The meat counter is AWESOME (maple blueberry breakfast sausage anyone?), there's a legitimate sushi bar, the food court area is ammaaaaaazing and the produce selection is just as fantastic as the Whole Foods name suggests. So. I'll keep coming back until I move away, because really, it's not this good anywhere else. read more

I'm a frequent visitor to this location, since I work across the street. And it is one of my favorite WF in Colorado. I think they have a great selection of foods-to-go. I usually steer clear of the refrigerated section, since there's never many good vegetarian options, and instead visit the pop-up prepared carts, sushi bar, or sandwich bar. I like that this location has their own large parking lot, and plenty of seating for dining in. Both indoors and out. In the summer they post up a grill outside for lunch and they make some good burgers (veggie as well) and every Thursday they do a $5 Vegan Lunch option which I've always found filling and healthy. The staff here is very friendly and helpful, they're always smiling and helping with whatever they can. It's a larger location which makes it helpful if you're doing more grocery shopping here than just grabbing lunch to-go. read more

Amazing... I don't even know how to describe this place. The selection is amazing (produce, frozen food items, seafood, flowers, sushi, meats, freshly baked goods, organic/natural personal care items, overpriced kitchen ware, clothing), the prices are astronomical (but almost everything is GMO free and or organic so that makes up for it I guess), and the staff are always friendly. At Halloween they sell pumpkins and at Xmas time they have Xmas trees - they really do sell everything. read more

I've been to MANY Whole Foods locations in Colorado and California and this one is by far the best. It's the biggest, has the best selection, the best customer service, parking, everything you could possibly need and want in a WH, they got. They even offer massages in the book section! And for people that complain about the prices.. well, you know what you're getting with WH. But I still willingly pay it for the selection of local and organic food that I haven't found anywhere else:) read more

I used to live in this neighborhood and didn't think too much about this Whole Foods until I moved. When I lived here, I was broke, out of work... and would generally buy the super cheap 99 cent sourdough rounds or the cheap polenta (it is actually cheaper here than any other chain in Denver!) to mix up the trips to King Soupers. Now that I am workin' again, and live between a trifecta of Whole Foods, I have to say, this largest in Denver Whole Foods is the BEST. I could go on and on, but I will highlight two areas of contentment: 1. The Coffee & Espresso Bar: I am ashamed that I do not know her name, but the barista who makes me a wonderful Caramel Macchiato the RIGHT way and always remembers to put it in a "for here" mug and puts a beautiful design on the top, well, you are the best. She really doesn't believe me, but it's true, and it's also true other Whole Foods do not have "for here" ceramic mugs, and also forget to give me a discount when I bring in my own mug. 2. The Cheese Section: I have mentioned this in a previous review. I drive here, far away from my other Whole Foods for the people that work in this section. I can bring up a wine, they will pair it with a great cheese. I bring up a Greek recipe, want to try something different than feta, they bring up a great cheese. I want to make authentic queso, they show me several cheeses, tell me how they will melt, etc, etc. They probably could spend hours answering cheese questions for me. Who doesn't love this place? Especially those with food intolerance's. You can get your groceries, have lunch and sit out on the patio all in one stop. Plus, I never have to worry that I am going to get sick because someone took a shot in the dark and told me that what I was about to eat is gluten free. It comforts me to be able to read the label and have GLUTEN FREE spelled out for me. Even better have it taste, well, yeah have it have taste! LOVE it! Everyone who works there seems to be so happy and helpful. Speaking of those who work there and food... I once got a pre-made salad there and took it back to work for lunch. Well, I found a bug it in! It was some kind of beetle or something and with salad this happens. Now I am am easily grossed out and after finding the bug, I was a couple bites in and still hungry but unable to continue. So I called to see if I could bring it back and get a bug free salad. The girl I spoke with on the phone was so nice about it told me yes, but on one condition, don't kill the bug. I believe her words were, " Please don't kill the bug! Will you set if free?!" I didn't have it in me to tell her it was already dead... and with my hunger growing to told her I set it free. I might have left out the part where I tell her I set it free in buggy heaven. Now, I would give them 5 stars, but I just can't... After all there is a reason people call it whole paycheck. read more

Every time I come here the food is excellent and this time is no different. I got the chicken fun which is rice noodle, chicken, straw mushrooms, bean sprout, Napa cabbage, green onion, and cilantro in a broth. Served piping hot and only $8.39 which can't be beat. read more

The produce section has always felt like it can get a little makeover the selection is large but the reason for the 3 stars is the employees I have tried to approach the employees with some questions and they are always very quiet and they don't seem to communicate very much, they are very short with you.
