While I wouldn't say BirdHouse is quite as amazing/special as all the reviews suggest, it is certainly very good and popular for good reason. The menu is a bit limited (just varieties of chicken basically), and I went with the Chicken Sandwich. It was pretty standard with fried chicken, pickles, and sauce and I will say, the chicken was really nicely crispy and very juicy/tender. Also, it was only $10 - very hard to find those kinds of prices around these days. The restaurant has a small parking lot, but a decent amount of seating. There is a nice outdoor seating area, where we were sat. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The service speed is also decent. With these good prices and tasty chicken, it's tough to ask for much more from a place like this. Great choice for a chill/casual meal in Page.
This is a must try spot in Page!! The chicken is so good, and their prices are incredibly reasonable (great value!). Very cute outdoor covered patio, with inside seating as well. Service was fast and friendly (the best kind). Of the items on their menu, you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich (I had the honey butter). After ordering, I heard the sandwich with honey butter and extra spicy is a huge hit. Safe to say that's what I'll be trying next time!
Easily the best meal I've had in Arizona. After a long day in the sun exploring the canyon and Horseshoe Bend, my boyfriend and I were extremely hungry, so we were excited to find a chicken spot nearby. Not just any chicken place, but one that had been highly praised by reviewers online, so we had to try it. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the fries were well seasoned, though a little on the harder side, and the mac and cheese was one of the best I've ever had, super creamy and delicious. I really enjoyed this meal. The price was reasonable for the portion size, and this is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone visiting.
Loved eating at this local spot! The staff were super friendly and the outdoor seating had a lot of room for big groups. Ordered the thigh and leg plate which came with a side. The chicken was juicy and tender. The plate even came with an extra piece! I preferred the honey butter over the spicy but both complimented the crispy chicken well. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were hits at the table! Gave the donut holes a chance and they were more cakey than donut in texture but still satisfied our dessert craving. Highly recommend checking them out.
The food at Birdhouse was excellent. The fries were incredible, perfectly crispy and well seasoned. The house-made sauce really stood out and added a lot of flavor to the meal. The chicken was tender and juicy on the inside with a crispy exterior, making the skin especially satisfying. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Lots of seating, good ambiance. Overall, everything was well executed, flavorful, and enjoyable. Definitely a spot worth checking out.
Heard great things about the "famous" fried chicken and cold beer. After a long day of adventuring on the lake and in the canyons, this did not disappoint. I had the half bird and did part spicy and part honey butter I had the broccoli salad as my side. The chicken was juicy with a great crunch / crisp. I also liked the ranch / honey mustard sauces. They have a select number of beers to choose from. You order from the counter and then they will bring it out to you. Fast casual type of service so you have get up and get what you need. Seating outside is really nice. Definitely recommend as a good meal to refuel.
I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich from Birdhouse! But what especially stood out was the honey butter flavor that I got for the chicken. I felt like the sauce was the standout. I also like the portion as well! I had it with the fries as well, but didn't feel like the fries stood out.
Stumbled upon Birdhouse while passing through town, and I'm so glad we did. The chicken at this rustic, walk-up-and-order spot was fantastic. We tried both the original and spicy chicken tenders, and both were excellent. Also, don't skip the crispy seasoned french fries -- a must. Can't wait to stop by again.
Very moist fried chicken, and you can see that most clearly in the chicken breast piece. Chicken stays crispy for quite a long time. Though I still think New Orleans fried chicken is better. They have 3 flavors: chili, original, and honey butter, but original and honey butter taste the same imo. Their house sauce is good, has a hint of honey mustard. Fries is okay but mac n cheese is not good. Their individual piece portion actually has 2 pieces, at least for thigh and tender.
This place wasn't bad. Was open late. The chicken was nice and crunchy! I got 2 of their house made ranch, and they were good!! The fries were a bit sad, the chicken comes out crunchy but the fries were not crunchy at all. The donut holes were awesome! The warm jelly is the best dip IMO. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town!
Like many folks, I was in Page, Arizona to visit Lower Antelope Canyon and the tour group I joined had selected BirdHouse as our lunch stop. I did look them up before getting here and am a fan of chicken sandos. Since I was there in December, our tour guide phoned in our orders ahead of time so he can grab the food for us to eat in the van as he continued to drive in order to maximize daylight as we still needed to hit Horseshoe Bend after Antelope Canyon. But, still got the try both the honey butter and spicy chicken sandos. Wish we had fries too but the sandos are a good size and I'd say that the honey butter was better tasting than the spicy sando.
If you find yourself in Page and craving some seriously good fried chicken, Birdhouse is the spot. The chicken here is awesome-- juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they take pride in their seasoning; the rub had just the right blend of spice and depth without overpowering the meat. And that crisp! The skin had that ideal crunch that stayed light. I also really enjoyed the broccoli salad -- fresh, lightly dressed, and a great balance to the richness of the chicken. On top of that, the food came out quick, hot, and fresh, even during a busy period. Overall, Birdhouse hits all the marks: quick service, incredible flavor, and some of the crispiest fried chicken you'll find in northern Arizona. Easily a must-stop when passing through Page.
Nice juicyyyy chicken sandwich. The spicy wasn't very spicy so go definitely go with the honey butter. I personally do not like ranch but my group says that it was top tier and even took some to go. Friendly staff! Good stop after the drive to page. read more

If you visit Page and don't eat at the BirdHouse, you're missing out. Ordered the chicken sandwich (spicy) and a side of fries. Portions are huge--two of us shared this order and it was still too much. This is, hands down, the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. Sat on the (dog friendly) patio in the rain. Yes, it was worth it. Just eat here. read more

We stopped here on our way to our friend's cabin in Arizona, and it was a GREAT lunch stop! The food was so good! I got the CBR salad with the honey butter chicken. Great toppings, great dressing, just a great combo of flavors and textures. My husband got the chicken sandwich (original flavor) and he said it was delicious, and he could've eaten 3 more. we got a side of Mac and cheese ($4) for our 1 year old, and he liked it! The Mac and cheese had a great flavor, almost like a smoky or chipotle flavor? I couldn't quite pinpoint it but it was unique and we enjoyed it! The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but that can easily be remedied. Friendly and very efficient staff! We would definitely come back! read more

WHEN: 12/31/22 This has got to be the best fried chicken I've had in a long time. It's an American fried chicken spot but honestly it's as good as some of my favorite Korean fried chicken. Seems like everyone who goes to visit antelope canyon has eaten here but honestly it's such a gem in this tiny town. 7. 12 pc family meal ($48) - you get to choose what flavors you want (original, spicy, and honey butter) and it comes with two sides (we got mac and cheese and the broccoli salad). We dropped in for lunch upon our arrival in Page. It's a very casual place. I wonder if it used to be an old drive up like back in the 50's. When you enter you pick up a paper menu. Queue up and proceed to the order taker/cashier. Ordered: * I went with one leg & one thigh. Hubby ordered spicy. One side mac n cheese. * hubby ordered 4 pieces aka half a chicken. Also spicy. One side fries. We were given a number. Our orders delivered to our table. Our chicken was both temperature hot and fiery hot. I had to peel off the skin. Too fiery hot for me. My mac n cheese was very creamy. Crushed potato chips on top. Hubby's crinkle fries were hot and crispy. Self serve utensils and water. A nice informal place. Several staff workers came around continuously to ask how was everything. I liked that. read more
This is a place where you have to stand in line - which took a while but the food delivery to the table after ordering was super quick. The chicken was good. We both got the spicy chicken and I didn't think it was that spicy, but it was good flavor. The Mac-n-cheese and broccoli salad were okay - the broccoli salad had a lot of cream that made it kind of soggy. Overall would come back, the chicken was delicious! read more

Our Antelope Canyon tour guide said this was the best food in Page, so we decided to check it out. He did not steer us wrong! We ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a half chicken dinner with a side of pickles and coleslaw. All of the things we ordered were DELICIOUS. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked and so crispy. We opted for the spicy batter, which wasn't really what I would call spicy - more like well-spiced. The pickles were homemade and super crunchy and refreshing. The coleslaw was classically good. I also opted for a prickly pear margarita which was very sweet, but good otherwise. You order at the counter and if you're eating in, can choose between inside and outside seating. The outside area looks out toward the street, but it's not a very busy area so our table seemed peaceful. Kudos to the people working there too - the girl who took our order was super friendly and another worker checked on us outside to see how we were doing. If you're in Page and like chicken, don't miss this place! read more
This is a must visit place if you are in Page! Chicken was so delicious, fresh, and juicy!! I ordered the 3 tender meal honey butter - the honey butter wasn't a very strong flavor (and honestly a little hard to taste, but that didn't hinder my experience). Birdhouse also has homemade sauces (a ranch and a tangy honey mustard) which compliment the chicken perfectly. The pickles are amazing - they run on the sweeter side, come with carrots too, and are very crunchy!! The staff is super friendly and attentive. Despite the abundance amount of people ordering in the line ahead, the line moved fast and food came quick. This place knows how to run efficiently. The only downside is there is only one bathroom for all parties to share so the line to the bathroom can be a bit of a wait. read more
Chicken done right Tender inside and crispy outside, perfectly fried. The sides are so good too. Despite the crowd, our food is served pretty fast and in the right temperature too. In early April 2023, my wife, two teenage sons, and I stopped by for a takeout dinner meal to bring back to our AirBnb in Page. This place far exceeded our modest expectations for fried chicken in Northern Arizona! First of all, the original and spicy options for chicken were both excellent as the meat was tender and tasty. Be sure to try the homemade pickle and delightful sauces. My sons enjoyed the French fries as well. Second, the location and appearance is very casual and informal. You order up at the front counter and wait for your number to be called. This place is ideal for grab-n-go takeout chicken, but it has informal table seating as well. The restaurant opened in May 2017 by Edward Chu (the owner) who was a cook in South Korea, Japan, Momfuku (NYC) and in Los Angeles. You can tell that the owner put a lot of care into making delicious fried chicken! This is definitely a must-visit place if you're in Page for a few days on vacation, or a local resident! You will be pleasantly surprised to find delicious fried chicken in Page, AZ! read more
After a day of traveling to Page from Phoenix (and landing from Texas earlier that morning), my boyfriend and I were really looking for something yummy but quick and easy to pick up for dinner. We found this place through google reviews and decided to give it a try. Plenty of parking and kinda gave that sonic drive-up vibe, so super casual. We had both placed an order for a chicken box with 2 pieces and a side of Mac n cheese. We also got a side of fries too since we were really hungry after that drive, and all this filled us up really well! We def fell into a sleep coma right after. Staff were friendly and quick with the service. Easy in and out. When it came to the food though, it low-key left something to be desired. I'm not sure if it's because we regularly get fried chicken that we're more difficult to impress, but it was okay. Not the best but not the worst we've had. Chicken was nice and moist, but the crazy amount of seasoning on top of the skin was just a little too much for me. Felt like I was crunching my teeth into chili powder. The Mac n cheese was about the same; not bad but not good. So while we thought the price was decent for the amount of food we got, we most likely won't be coming back. read more
Came here for lunch before heading back home.. Nice little chicken restaurant. Ordered half chicken very spicy with side of coleslaw. Ordered chicken sandwich with order of fries.. Girl said the sandwich was pretty big.. Boy was she not joking . Half chicken was nice and crispy... I wish it was way more spicy.. Also dry rub spice on top.. Pretty tasty but not that hot... Cole slaw was OK.. Lacked in flavor.. Added some ranch dressing to it made it taste little better. Sandwich was pretty huge. Also tasted pretty good. Not the best but if you ate hungry and don't went to spend big bux this is a sandwich to get. Over all food was good very good customer service. Always good to have employees coming by the table asking if everything is good and if anything is needed.. Definitely come back to this place if I'm back here.. read more

Our group tried both chicken tenders and bone-in chicken - both were great. The fries, mac-n-cheese, and coleslaw were all good sides. I would skip the mashed potatoes and choose a different side. Both sauces (ranch and honey mustard) were really good. Nice to have Unlimited refills on fountain drinks. Service was quick and friendly. Would for sure go back if we found ourselves back in the area. read more

Really tasty and juicy chicken. Whether you get the dark or white meat the chicken is delicious. They put plenty of pickles in the sandwich and I live it. The fries are pretty thick which is another plus. The sides are okay but the chicken is the star here. Service is very efficient and friendly. The ambiance is laid back, no frills here. You order, sit, eat and leave. The bathroom is outside of the restaurant. Mera's Tip: get chicken with it read more

I saw this restaurant came highly recommended from the Travel and Leisure Page. IT LIVED UP TO THE HYPE! The menu is super straight forward. We ordered a salad with fried chicken. And, we ordered a breast and wing combo with a side of mac & Cheese. This chicken was CRISPY, TENDER, JUICY, HOT, DELICIOUSLY SEASONED, SLIGHTLY SPICY AND SWEET AT THE SAME TIME. We both ate our meals so quickly! Honestly wish I lived closer so I could go here all the time! Best Chicken in Arizona hands down. Even though it was super busy and it seemed like there wasn't enough seating, people cleared out quickly. Most of the indoor seating is countertop seating. There is outdoor covered seating at benches as well. Self-serve for napkins, utensils, hand wipes, and water! Super quick service as well. read more

If y'all are ever in this area do not skip this place. If you are looking for a great meal and at great price stop in here. Considering Page takes in over one million visitors a year the prices for some delicious fried chicken is like you're a local. The building looks to be a recycled renovated Sonics, but the menu is far from burgers. It reminds me five guys or in n out burgers. They sell one thing on their menu and they do it right. They have a few sides that are also tasty. The staff helpful and work hard. The chicken is made to order which means FRESH!! Not sitting under some heat lamp, so understand you will wait a little bit based on how big your order. I like that they sell it by the piece or set meals. This allows you to get your favorite piece of chicken you want. If you want all thighs!!! Get it. Great job Birdhouse for serving up great service and food!! Always remember to take care your server that are making your experience one to remember keeping your area clean and well stocked with condiments. read more
Really good chicken here! Don't have one of these in California but I would compare it to Korean Style Fried Chicken. Super Crunchy skin and juicy meat inside. We did the honey butter and the original and it was so good! The dipping sauce was really good too. The sides are okay Mac n cheese was basic and soggy and the coleslaw was okay as well. The star of the show was the chicken of course. It's pretty pricey for chicken but worth every penny! read more

Located just off main drag behind gas station. Look for the big chicken!! Came here for dinner. Waited in line to order and self-seated in a small dining area inside, would love to try patio but was too hot for this. Staff was busy cleaning, bussing tables, restocking. It makes a difference. We ordered #2 chicken boxes (thigh & leg) with broccoli salad and mac&cheese sides. Unfortunately sides were really bad, so bad we couldn't eat them. Tried original and honey butter flavored chicken. The chicken was delivered w/ an extra thigh. Chicken was really tasty, crispy skin and moist meat. We liked original best. Much later we realized we'd been overcharged for the sides (1 side was supposed to be included for the price with each meal). For future visit, I'd recommend the chicken sandwich w/ their birdhouse sauce. Skip the sides. And check your bill before you pay. Lessons learned. read more

I looked up this place while finding a place to eat in page, AZ and I found this! Literally all I saw were 5 star reviews, so we went there. We sat down, and guess what? You don't need a server. You just get up and stand in line and order. I ordered the chicken tenders with my sis in the queue. My mom got the spicy chicken sandwich, and my dad got the spicy platter. We took a bite of our food, and let me tell you, we were EXAUSTED from a long drive, and this was the PERFECT thing to cure us! I drank a Starry from the fountain, and it tastes like a Starry but more fresh! I had to go to the bathroom one time, and you guys know I hate dirty bathrooms, but I got AMAZED by how clean this one was. The water in the sink was hot, and EVERYTHING functioned so smoothly, and I was amazed by this place! They didn't have dessert, though, but that's okay. My family said that even though I'm only 10, I got skilled picks of restraunts! How bout you scroll down to see other reviews after I show you this delicious food? I promise, it's good. read more

Hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten!! I thought this would be just another fried chicken place but I was very wrong. When we arrived, there was no parking so we ended up parking in dollar generals parking lot and walking over. With the parking being full I was worried that the inside would be too busy but there was only a few people in line ahead of us and it moved quick. You place your order and then they bring it to wherever you sit. I got the honey butter chicken sandwich and my husband got the eddies special chicken sandwich. They were both amazing and we couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were! We also decided for a side of coleslaw, since they were all out of the Mac and cheese. I don't care for the coleslaw that much and probably wouldn't get it again. We of course had to get the donut holes for dessert and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend trying this place if you are in the area, you will not regret it! read more
Do not miss this place if you're in Page!!! I found BirdHouse via Yelp, and it did not disappoint. The building used to be a Sonic, hence the interesting design of the interior and patio. It's kind of like a fast casual place, you order at the cash register, get a number, then your food is brought to you. My husband LOVES fried chicken, so we split a whole chicken (we had a breast and thigh leftover). We got original flavor, along with fries and broccoli slaw on the side. When you order a whole chicken, you get to pick two sides! The chicken was hot, fresh, juicy, and crispy. *chef's kiss* it was delicious leftover as well, we heated it in the air fryer when we got home two days later. The fries were so good, I wanted to keep eating them long after I was full. The broccoli slaw was decent as well, but it was a little heavy on the red onion. My husband and I like onion, but even this was a bit too much. We did enjoy the freshness of the broccoli to complement our meal though! Service was great, the employees were often checking in on people as they were eating and promptly cleaned tables when people left. We honestly almost went back to BirdHouse the next day because it was so good, but we ended up trying somewhere else! We will absolutely never miss BirdHouse when we're in Page! read more
Our party of two arrived in the late afternoon on a Sunday and was easily able to find a seat (inside and outside). We were greeted right away and told to pick a table, review the menu, and order at the register. We got a number and the food was brought to us in about 10 minutes. 1. Chicken Sandwich ($9, 4.5/5) - 2 tenders between a soft bun. Loved the sweet mustard sauce. Could have used more of the veggies. 2. 3-Piece Tenders ($14, 4/5) - loved how we could choose a flavor for each piece. Pretty juicy but the honey butter flavor could have been more prominent. 3. Single Leg ($3) - My partner had this and liked it more than the tenders. Great service and food. Plenty of parking in the front and back. Would be happy to return! read more
