Onto my meal, I got the filet taco, boom shrimp taco, and the hot honey chicken. They were all so delicious and yummy, I can tell they took their time creating each taco into a masterpiece. I loved the boom shrimp the most, then the hot honey, and then the filet taco the least, but all of these were so delicious I loved it! The boom shrimp is a delicious trip into the savory tastes of shrimp and the sea. I loved the addition of tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and avocados, drizzled in ranch. The filet taco is a great feast of filet steak and crispy crunchy onions. Lastly the hot honey chicken was great with purple lettuce, corn, pickles, and more fresh delicious veggies. I loved all the tacos so much and if I come back to the area I'd definitely come back, a must go to! Service/ambiance: First off the waiters came to us quickly with a nice refreshing water pitcher with lemons. It was a nice day out but not too hot, inside was nice and cool with the ac but not too cold, a nice balance. Not too loud of a place but nice and chill with a light speaker with music playing in the background. This in my opinion is a huge upgrade to the last location in Northport, this is much bigger and it looks cleaner. Something that stood out to me was that there was no men's sign on the bathroom, but there was on the ladies. I don't know if they're discriminated or something, but that was something, but besides that the bathrooms were very squeaky clean.

When you first arrive, you can tell it's a place that primarily caters to locals, which is a nice change of pace during the summer pilgrimage of out of towners. The bar itself is relatively small, but the bar staff are quick on their delivery. For food, we shared a dozen oysters that were without a doubt fresh and reasonably priced. We had the fluke fish tacos that were some of the best fish tacos I've ever tried, as well as their seasonal special - buffalo chicken soft shell crab (soft shell crab fried like buffalo chicken nuggets, that include a side of buffalo sauce). The food was excellent! We went on a Saturday night and they had live music. The place wasn't overly crowded and it was a really great for a summer date. I definitely recommend checking out the Station Bar if you're in the area, or even taking the ride just to enjoy some fresh seafood and a couple of beers while sitting on the canal.

Any time I'm here on a busy night I'm always shocked at how one small bar (and I'm assuming tiny kitchen) manage to get everyone fed and served. I will say that depending on what kind of night you go here (especially during the summer) you're probably going to experience a bit of a wait to get a drink -- and may not even find yourself a seat for quite some time. But the crowd here is some of the nicest I've encountered. If someone sees you standing and are about to head out, they'll not only give you the heads up, but also introduce you to everyone else they were sitting around so that you feel welcomed in. A nice spot to grab a drink during sunset in the warmer months.

What was most frustrating was the lack of effort to make the situation right. While we ultimately stayed, our party was split between separate tables, and there was no attempt to accommodate us by rearranging or combining tables so that our group could sit together. We received little more than a brief apology and were left to make the best of a situation that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Unfortunately, the service issues continued throughout the meal. Our appetizers and main courses were brought out at the same time, making it feel rushed and poorly coordinated. As local residents, we were especially disappointed. We try to support local businesses and chose Southampton Publick House for a gathering with friends and family. Instead, a reservation we planned around wasn't honored, our group couldn't sit together, and the dining experience felt disorganized from start to finish. A reservation should mean that a table is reserved. Unfortunately, this experience left a very poor impression.

What an absolute Ship-Show…read more.. I was certain we were being Punk'd. At any moment I expected Ashton Kutcher to spring out from behind a curtain, headset dangling around his neck, laughing and pointing. But alas, there were no hidden cameras. This was sadly not a joke. And we weren't laughing. Our party arrived for dinner at roughly 8:30p, a full 90 minutes prior to the "Kitchen Closes at 10p" posted cut-off time. The staff behaved as though we rolled up at 9:58p. While we were excited about our meals, the Shippy's team was very clearly already done for the night. After navigating the waitlist and a hi-top bar table, we landed in our seats and placed our orders. We were there for dinner -- sadly our waitress was out to lunch. We ordered two burgers, two wurst platters, and two steak entrees. They got one of those six orders correct, while the other five went up in flames. Both wurst orders were cold. They were sent back to the kitchen, and came back cool. The two steak entrees -- one a filet, the other a strip -- were reversed. The filet came undercooked (arrived medium rare when medium well had been requested) while the strip, which was ordered medium rare, came in medium well. And of the two smash burgers, one was delicious. The other was missing. In fact, the food arrived in strange phases. One overcooked entree. By itself. Five minutes later, two cold entrees. Another five minutes, an undercooked entree, followed by the lucky smash burger. Twenty minutes later, and after multiple reminders, the final smash burger arrived. Clearly it had never been ordered and needed to be rushed. And "rush" is rather generous. Obviously the goal of a meal is for all entrees to arrive, at the proper temperatures, simultaneously. I've seen a snail wade through molasses at a better pace than this dinner service. However, perhaps the most frustrating part of this experience was the overall lack of urgency by the staff. As our table sat bewildered, our waitress was nowhere to be found. The staff was wiping down tables, cleaning menus, polishing check presenters, and all while we sat with cold, dead, and missing food. Our table was sinking fast, and instead of tossing us a life raft, Shippy's stood on the shoreline waving us Bon Voyage. Ultimately we had to call upon the manager, who tried her best but was without answers. There was nothing for her to do except remove one entree from the bill. In truth, the full meal should have been comped. It was that bad. And these were only the major issues. There were also wine mixups, dirty plates that stayed around longer than unwanted relatives at Thanksgiving, and empty glasses strewn about the table like red Solo beer cups at a fraternity party. To call the visit disappointing would be like referring to the Titanic as a row boat. This thing was an absolute disaster with Shippy's taking on water like a sea vessel made of Swiss cheese. Despite issues with temperature, speed, accuracy, and attentiveness, we still managed to spend nearly $400. It would have been more productive to simply burn a wad of cash right there at the table -- at least then we could have warmed up the wurst.

It is a newer casual Mexican spot in Southampton town that offers a variety of tacos, along other menu items. The space has a fun, modern design with several seating options. There is a small bar in the back with a television and about five or six seats, counter seating in front of the open kitchen, and four or five tables along the left side, some with partial booth seating. There is also outdoor seating available when the weather is nice. I came with a friend for an early, light dinner before seeing a movie. We only waited a few minutes before being seated near the entrance. Our server greeted us promptly and brought over menus. I ordered the Sombra Margarita ($18), made with mezcal, ginger, lime, and guava, while my friend chose the Classic Margarita ($16). The Sombra was very good, the smoky mezcal paired really well with the ginger and fruit flavors, making for a refreshing and balanced cocktail. Most of the tacos were $9 each. I ordered the Veggie Taco, which was generously filled, along with the Crispy Fish Taco. The fish had a satisfying crunch, although it was just slightly overcooked. Overall, it was a good spot for a quick, casual meal. I also noticed they were preparing quite a few takeout orders. They had a sign advertising happy hour every day from 3-6pm, $8 house margaritas, $7 select tacos, and discounted small plates. I would definitely come back to check out happy hour or try more of the menu.
