The caramelized carrots and the charred outside of the tenderloin combined to form an off putting aftertaste. Once past the charred outer layer, the tenderloin was amazing. My wife ordered the fish and chips and those were great as well. The desert was very tasty and decadent. While I do not fault the staff for this, the service was slow, friendly, but slow. We had a pretty large group, but our server, Rachel, was a total rockstar. She took incredible care of us and didn't skip a beat. We went with the family-style fajita dinner with chicken, beef, and shrimp, and the food was delicious. Everyone kept talking about how good it was! They serve up American bar food and appetizers with a nice selection of beer, wine and cocktails on their drink menu. Iron Horse Tap is located inside The Plaza and has great views of Mt. Crested Butte's Peak. We were able to walk over from our hotel. It was a chilly night, so we appreciated how warm and cozy the place was. Iron Horse has a number of TVs that show various sporting events. The pizza options on the menu looked good, so order a MOB Pizza with a beer. I like to try the local beers whenever I visit a new town and Iron Horse had a selection of local Colorado beers on tap. I ended up going with the tiny burger off of the kids menu adding mayonnaise, lettuce, onion, and the bacon marmalade. My coworker ordered the same and a shredding tots. Food came out in a respectable amount of time. It was hot and fresh. You can see right into the kitchen as it is an old food trailer that they have set up as the cooking area, which was really cool. The waitress was bringing out food for other patrons. We noticed the size of the burgers and we were glad that we got the tiny ones. first bite of the burger was absolutely fabulous. It was juicy just enough pink and the flavors with the bacon marmalade out of this world. I did try one of my coworkers shredding.
