1 Star I visited this store on Monday, June 8, at approximately 4:13 p.m. intending to make a return and exchange the item for something else. I was fully prepared to continue shopping and make additional purchases. Unfortunately, the employee at the register was argumentative and dismissive instead of providing helpful customer service. I understand stores have policies, and I had no issue with the policy itself. The issue was the way the interaction was handled. Because of this experience, I decided not to proceed with the exchange and chose not to make any additional purchases. One negative interaction was enough to lose a sale and a returning customer. Management may want to review who was working the register around 4:13 p.m. on June 8. Based on this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I called the store owner, Marius, a couple days ago asking if they had a size available in store and explained that I ordered a wrong size online. The owner on the phone reassured me that not only do they have the size available, he would also put it on hold for me and match the 10% discount I used online. Today, while I was checking out, the employee made a quick phone call to confirm that the owner was okay with matching the discount online. Now, he's suddenly not okay with it, doesn't remember the phone call, and is charging full price after I traveled to their store. I didn't buy the shoes out of principle. It's evident why this business is riddled with 1 star reviews, and I think that maybe you should think twice before supporting this conniving and deceitful business owner. read more

I went into the Birkenstock store to buy some super birki's and I came out so satisfied. I got the super birki 2.0 for work as I wanted something more comfortable to walk around it. Darcy was so sweet and she is very knowledgeable with Birkenstocks. She measured my foot to make sure I had the right size. I am a size 7-7.5 and I wasn't sure to go a size smaller as that's what I was reading in the Internet. She reassured me that size 38 was right for me. She was very patient and even went above and beyond by taking the insoles out of the shoes and showing me the difference in both sizes. This made me feel very comfortable and helped me make my decision to go with my true size. Darcy and I also bonded over my line of work and her personal experiences which made the services even more thoughtful. The shoes are of good value. Went to a Nordstrom at South Coast to find a pair of Birkenstocks since I've heard they were really comfortable shoes, I ended up walking out due to their negative customer service and horrible help finding the right size since they come in EU sizes. Drove about 5 minutes down the street and found this location, amazing help from the misses running the place I didn't catch her name, she was helping 3 customers at once and still managed to find me a comfortable style and pair while maintaining a positive attitude and great customer service. As a first time buyer of Birkenstocks and needing assistance to find the perfect pair for me I would definitely say to visit this location! Great customer service and value overall. I decided to give Birkenstock a look after hearing great things about the brand and also the orthopedic features. The staff had been extremely friendly and patient, as I had arrived relatively close to closing time on a weekend but did not get rushed through trying different types of shoes. I ended up going with the Arizona style in oiled leather which seems to be the standard for this particular brand. After a couple weeks of breaking in the shoe, I could really see how the shoe bed really supported my feet and made for a comfortable experience. I ended up deciding to purchase (online) a pair of Boston clog style shoes in oiled leather. The manager/owner was very welcoming of letting me bring my Boston's into the store to get an extra hole punched out for the buckle, as I needed just a bit width to my shoe to fit comfortably. I'm really happy with the service and product and would certainly recommend anyone interested in the brand to check out this store. The hours may be slightly limited, but it's well worth a stop for high quality shoes. read more

I am hoping to get my first pair of Birkenstocks so my husband looked online and found this place. I went in today to see what was in stock, to see what I liked and to try on a pair to see what size I would be. Let me tell you about my experience... I walked in with an older gentleman ahead of me. The owner came out from the back and greeted him but not me. I saw one I liked on the shelf and grabbed it to try it on. The owner then startled me and said we have nylon socks to try on and rudely handed me one. I apologized for not knowing. After I tried one on, I asked how much it was and he said the price and then he was going to measure my foot. I told him the display fit and asked if he had any in stock. He said "yeah those" pointing to the display. If I am going to pay a lot of money for those, I am not paying for the display. He then rudely grabbed the sandal out of my hand and put it back on the shelf and walked away. He then continued to help the older gentleman and ignored me. So I left. I am not willing to spend money at a small business if I am being treated rudely for no reason. Wish I would have read these reviews first. I would have skipped out on going to the shop today. There is a supply chain issues so know that. But he will do everything he can to take care of you. I am a quadriplegic and needed help trying on the shoes and he was more than helpful. He punched new holes for me because I needed them a little wider. I took them to another shoe guy that I use because I needed some more modifications, and he actually charged me for. A couple more holes. I did not know what I needed. Regardless, john is great. He doesn't upcharge. I thought I would be paying more but it's the same whether you buy them straight from Birkenstock or not. anyhow, John is awesome and does what he can to take care of the customer. read more

I always find a pair of shoes here. I am able to find the soft footbed in the Birkenstock line of shoes. Unfortunately, they only carry 4 models in the soft footbed, so the choice is extremely limited (hence the 4 stars).
