I walked into this store nearly in tears because I could barely walk. I had gotten to the point where I was literally going down the stairs at home on my butt, and my "new normal" had become walking down the stairs backwards. I have plantar fasciitis and bone spurs in both feet, and because I didn't have the proper shoes or inserts, I was compensating in all the wrong ways -- pulling muscles here, straining muscles there -- until eventually the pain was everywhere and completely overwhelming. Honestly, I felt defeated and scared. I truly thought something more serious had to be wrong because the pain had become so severe. The moment I walked into the store, NAOMI greeted me with a smile, and as crazy as it sounds, I immediately felt this sense of relief -- like maybe I was finally going to be okay. She listened to everything I explained, was incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping me. After using the foot scan machine and seeing the results, she picked out several pairs of shoes and arch supports for me to try. Then she went above and beyond by sitting down and helping put the shoes on for me. In that moment, feeling cared for and supported meant everything because I was truly struggling physically and emotionally. I decided to wait a full week before writing this review so I could honestly speak on the results -- and WOW. Absolute game changer. LIFE changer. I'm an Assistant General Manager at a very busy, fast-paced hotel, so being on my feet constantly is part of my everyday life. A week later, I can genuinely say I feel like a different person. Raise your hand if you've bought shoes for yourself based on what others are wearing, without knowing if they're what would work for you. For the longest time I've had hit and miss instances with shoes. I've ended up with ingrown nails that required surgery. I've ended up in even more pain than I probably should be in. Enter my friend reminding me that foot analysis places exist and to "treat myself." I made a free appointment online and Cheri had me stand on a scanner of sorts. First thing that caught me off guard was I'm not a size 7 in everything... I'm an 8 (oops). Second was learning I pronate which makes sense why my ankles need so much support (esp with my health issues). Everything from start to finish was a breeze. Cheri set me up with some Hoka Gaviotas as well as some cute boot/shoe hybrids that already have insoles inside. With my Hokas, Cheri explained I needed to break-in/get used to my new insoles with a 2,4,6 hr rule and now I'm in love with them. Wow. So first off went there for my mom to get some shoes for her plantar fasciitis pain. Cheri and Sophia were very helpful. Sophia helped out my mom and really informed her reference shoes that would help her with her pain. My mom was so happy walking out with several shoes and some goodies. Had found out they opened a new store in Costa Mesa and just happened to be Grand Opening today!We were greeted right as we came in by Stephanie, she asked can I help you with anything I told her what was going on with my feet and how my shoes were bugging my feet. She said let's take a look at your feet on the imaging machine, after that we talked shoes and what I was needing for comfort of my feet, then she brought a couple of different types of shoes and two types of orthotics for me to try out. It's nice when someone listens to what is happening to your body and helping you feel better I was about to cry with how these shoes made the pain go away and make me feel comfort with my feet again! Stephanie took her time with me and even showed me a way to tie my shoes so I could have a better fit. Even found some Sandals that felt like walking on clouds, had a great variety of shoes and liked how the furniture was with comfy benches or high back chairs to set in. Overall it was a great visit to this store, when you have the right people in place it set the right vibes in the store.
