I can't remember having better quesabirria tacos. Birria Bros is a food truck that turned into a brick and mortar in a rather nondescript plaza on Sunset and Sandhill. I remember visiting a taqueria years ago in the vicinity, so maybe there's a niche there that needed filling. But you're gonna want to drive across town for these if they're as good as what I had. I was finally drawn in to try them after I learned about their special valid only this month, 10 quesabirria tacos for $33. I brought my friend to share them, and conveniently enough, they came divided evenly into takeout boxes of five each. We did eat the tacos fresh though, and they were excellent. The beefy flavor really shined in this birria. We did not get extra consomme, but there wasn't any need since the meat was nicely seasoned and juicy, kinda like a dipped Italian beef. The melted cheese added a nice texture, the red onion and cilantro were fresh, and the corn tortillas were nicely crisped up. The wedges of lime added a great vibrancy, while the two salsas were also useful if you can handle the heat. I didn't even bother trying the red hot one since the smoky, "mild" salsa was a bit of a test for me (maybe a 3 on a scale of 10). The apparently Mexican music was lively and not too loud. The dining area is small, but no other customers were actually there for whatever reason until we had finished. Parking was a bit tough since it was Sunday and a church is located nearby. Birria Bros is at the top of my list for future birria cravings. I'll have to come back on Taco Tuesday (buy 2, get 1 free) or maybe venture into something like their birria ramen, which is described as using fresh Japanese noodles. read more

Been wanting to visit here for a long time. Finally made it! And holy shit we were not disappointed. We walked up and in the window was a picture of The Birria Pizza. Right away we knew that's what we wanted! I mean, neither of us had seen anything like that and we were very hungry so we said YUP! We ordered, the two employees there at the time were amazing and super friendly (sorry I didn't get your names guys!) What happened next was absolutely mind blowing. They deliver the Birria Pizza in an actual pizza box, what we found inside was nothing short of the most amazing Birria experience I know I've ever had. Delivered to us was eight slices of heaven and these were not small in any way. Perfectly toasted tortilla, Top and bottom! inside a perfect mixture of a gooey mix cheese and meat. The Birria was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sprinkled with cilantro and onions. Served with some of the most flavorful consomé! It also came with red and green salsas but I choose no salsa just to take in all the extremely amazing flavors! Probably tight. 5 stars for customer service Very friendly and helpful server. 4 starts for food The food was good. I had a vampiro which is basically a tostada that has two fried tortillas with the Birria inside and melted cheese (fried melted cheese which I like). I ended up ditching the tortillas because they was a bit too oily for me but I was able to used the crispy cheese as a tortilla and it was good. The Birria was fresh and had a nice flavor. I used to follow the food truck around for two years. Best quesabirria tacos came out of that truck. Drove 35 minutes to try the brick and mortar and I was devastated. The tacos were throwin together , meat was tough and the cheese wasn't even melted. Way less meat per taco as well. Quality took a huge dip from what they used to deliver. I've had them at least 7 different times out of the truck-all beyond 5 stars. Throughly disappointed, I hope they can make some adjustments and maybe get the truck back up and touring around. read more

I visited this place for a lunch with 5 other coworkers after I saw 5.0 ratings on the Yelp. Norris was an average but the salsa was not good. The salsa, there was no evidence of fresh onions, tomato's or cilantros. Matter of fact, the salsa appears to me made out from over the selves salsa and added some spicy chili sauce. This place has pretty good food but their service needs a lot of improvement. The first time I visited there was absolutely no one behind the counter. Turns out one of the workers was talking to a seated customer and he saw me walking to the counter, and he didn't do anything until he saw how confused I looked. After I ordered, a bunch of workers came into the kitchen from a back area which was weird. I tried to place a phone order yesterday and they didn't answer. Tried this place at the foodie festival. When I got home I saw an email from Square showing a charge higher than what I remember on their menu. The Square email allows one to provide feedback so I did. Some back n forth email with Birria Bros and it was discovered they added an item I didn't ordered and offered a refund.
