Paneer Biryani
Shristy A.

Veg reviewer: Tried their paneer biryani and veg dum biryani for takeout. These are the only vegetarian options available. The taste did not disappoint, I think it definitely is not a 3 star place, given the biryanis costed 10/ 11 bucks before taxes. There are enough veggies/paneer in the biryanis too. And it wasn't greasy. There were a few minor negatives though- 1. When I asked about the recipe style, he mentioned that the paneer biryani is Vijaywada style, which it was not. 2. They charge extra for salan/raita (some gravy to garnish/ yogurt). And the little salan boxes were only half-filled, which isn't enough per biryani box. There are two tables in the restaurant and it's pretty small. But it looked decently maintained. Good number of free parking spots are available. It is in the same lot as apni mandi(Indian grocery store) and other restaurants/salons.

Just take my money!! So glad I discovered this place on doordash. I'm amazed by the portions and incredible quality. I knew the Veg Dum Biryani was going to be amazing the moment I opened the box. The aroma took me straight back home to Hyderabad. And the raita? My goodness, they added dill, my favorite herb and it was delicious! Not gonna lie, the Goat Dum Biryani was fresh and fantastic. Both biryanis cost me just 28 bucks with all the taxes, that's a straight up steal. Great job you guys! I'll definitely keep ordering :)

My friends were talking about this place, and my expectations were high. But the food took long time, and it wasn't as great as I expected. The meat wasn't very flavorful; it was just okay.

They have a bright and airy space, although the fake plants at the entrance make you wonder if this really is an upscale place. They also have an outdoor patio where we saw a group dining with one of their furry friends. For appetizers, we ordered the Kerala chicken fry - well seasoned and crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. For the entrees, we got a potlam goat biryani - a delicious biryani wrapped in a banana leaf served table side. We also got the Fish Pollichathu, a fish grilled with a tomato based topping that was wrapped in a banana leaf and served with a tapioca mash and rice. All the dishes were delicious. The portions are generous and we ended up with leftovers to take back home. We also received a complimentary gulab jamun creme brulee since I was part of their mailing list and a pistachio tiramisu to celebrate our special occasion. A truly wonderful experience that made our evening special. We will look forward to returning to sample more of their offerings.

Casual fine dining. Decent seating, good for groups. Decent prices. ***FOOD: we tried a whole bunch of items- *crispy baby corn-3.5/5- very crispy with a sweet and tangy coating indicating liberal vinegar usage. *malai soy chaap: 3.5/5: excessive usage of malai(aka fat). Indulgent and decent enough for a small serving. *vellulli kaaram paneer-3/5- lacked salt. Paneer was softish but felt a bit chewy and hard in places. *black pepper mushroom curry- 4/5- this was my favorite dish that evening. The fragrant curry leaves, earthiness of the mushroom and the black pepper created an intoxicating combination. It was floating in excess oil but was lip smacking delicious. *chilli garlic Naan: 4.5/5: I normally don't rate naan as they are non descript but the version here was wonderful. Thin, not burnt on the downside and paired oh so well with the mushroom curry. *Egg biryani- 3.5/5- this was spicy rather than being flavorful. Since it was made with egg, I didn't mind the spice.

I'm motivated to write this review specifically for 3 items that I enjoyed a lot. Lasuni Soya Chaap, Mushroom Pepper Fry and Chilli Garlic Naan. All 3 tasted amazing and made the experience all the more better. Lasuni Soya Chaap was flavorful, with generous amounts of garlic Chilli Garlic Naan was so good, that it didn't need another curry on the side. It was a novel idea and was a hit! Mushroom Pepper Fry was spicy but with pepper, the best way to spice things up! Enjoyed it. We also ordered Egg Biryani. It was so disappointing - very bland, both the rice and egg. Chili Paneer was just ok. Seemed like a tad bit extra ketchup Babycorn 65 was crispy and good too. The next time I come here, will max out on the appetizers, they seemed to be doing a great job. Coming back to try their non-vegetarian menu.

Interestingly, although OpenTable showed no reservation availability after our time slot, we noticed several vacant tables about 15-20 minutes after we arrived around 7:20 PM. The restaurant makes a strong first impression with its attractive décor and inviting ambiance. The menu appears to span multiple cuisines, offering a wide range of choices for diners with varied tastes. Despite the size of the restaurant, there were plenty of attentive waitstaff, and service was prompt throughout our visit. Most importantly, the food was flavorful and well prepared. Combined with the pleasant atmosphere and efficient service, it made for an enjoyable dining experience. We would certainly consider returning.

The non-veg had a pungent smell from the fish that got to all the other meat in the platter. Wouldn't recommend either. Additionally we tried the sev poori chaat option, was sweet but good. Mains: absolutely have to try the pepper chicken! Delicious!! Don't get the madras chicken and get the chicken korma instead. The gravies were distinct and had a good taste for both pepper and korma. Brownie was a good nostalgic finish to our meal. The ambience is super dense, and probably they have more furniture than they need.

It was sweet, flavorless, dry and lacking spice - four out of four people didn't like it. I definitely won't be trying it again. The Mutton Biryani, was flavorful and definitely many times better than chicken biryani. The Haleem was the absolute best item we ordered and a definite hit, making it worth trying again. Be warned about their 'Family Pack'. It's advertised as a family size but serves about two people, not definitely four, which is quite pricey for a 32oz bucket at $40. While the Haleem's quality justified the price as a seasonal item, the 'Family Pack' concept for biryani is poor value. I'd recommend the Haleem and Mutton Biryani, but steer clear of the Chicken Biryani and don't expect the "Family Pack" to feed more than two, 3 at best.
