Veggie Samosa(3 pcs)

Brentwood has a number of dining options tucked away in random strip malls, rather than having a concentration of all the good eateries downtown. I've learned to explore those options, and through that, found Biryani Pot, located in the same lot as a Safeway. On a chilly spring night, some warm and spicy food was what I craved. The interior is cool with colorful walls and ample seating. I ordered the yellow dal and veggie samosas along with garlic naan. Portions were huge with plenty of leftovers. The dal was not too spicy and full of flavor. My boyfriend ordered chicken tikka masala (pictured) and overall, we both really enjoyed dining here. Seems to have a steady flow of takeout customers along with dine in regulars.

Yummmmm! I LOVE the tandoori chicken tikka AND the biryani rice! Can't get enough of it. The restaurant is clean and cozy and the decor is pretty- I feel relaxed when I'm here. They've given me friendly service each time I've been here and I definitely plan on coming back a million more times.

Did I walk into the twilight zone or what? Has this place changed owners since the last time I came in? The moment we walked through the door, there was a random table set up like someone was about to start a food demo. Next to that, a grown man was passed out in a booth. Then, across from us, a woman kicked off her shoes and settled in with her phone. Not exactly the vibe you want from a dinner spot. We ordered anyway and hoped for the best. The food came out... and wow. The naan tasted store-bought, the butter chicken had maybe four pieces of chicken if you squint, and everything was just painfully mediocre. But the real kicker was being completely ignored for twenty minutes after we finished eating. There were at least four staff members standing around chatting while we sat there waiting. My husband went up to the front and they still ignored him. We were the only customers, and now I understand why.

The moment we arrived, the aroma of fragrant spices greeted us, instantly sparking our craving for Indian cuisine. We began with samosas as our appetizer, followed by a flavorful selection of dishes including tandoori chicken, garlic naan, curry, and basmati rice. My partner enjoyed a warm cup of chai, while I opted for a refreshing mango lassi. The service was impeccable, attentive and prompt. The food was served piping hot, showcasing its freshness.

Tandoori Chicken (5Pcs)

Just ordered through uber eats and everything was delicious! Posted a picture of everything we ordered. The biryani rice is so flavorful, the dal makhani (lentils) was equally as good but I did end up adding some salt to mine, lamb curry was probably our favorite. We also ordered the tandoori chicken and it did not disappoint! Garlic naan was of course good. I asked my driver if she would grab us whatever their house hot sauce was and if they had a yogurt sauce to grab that too. Both were delicious! The hot sauce reminds me of a chimichurri! SOOO GOOD! especially when you add it to the naan with the goat curry and rice or on the tandoori chicken! Honestly I'd put that stuff on anything haha. Cant wait to try this place in person! Thanks for the awesome food! Everything was fresh and so good.

Chicken curry and naan

The food here was delicious but our dining experience was very strange. It may have been because we arrived two hours before closing, but we were told that they did not have any rice. I was mislead by a photo of the menu that another Yelp user had posted, which stated that all entrees came with rice and a choice of bread. We also confirmed with the owner that our entrees would come with rice but when the food was brought out we only received our curry and naan. The naan was at an additional cost. I got the chicken curry and chicken tikka masala. Both were very good and had a nice kick of spice to it. The naan paired well. They also have a garlic naan available. I would recommend ordering for takeout rather than dining in. The food is phenomenal but the dining experience felt unwelcome. There were multiple tables that were not cleaned or were lacking silverware. I will definitely be coming back and ordering for take out but I will never be dining in person again.

Tried the buffet. Not worth it! The food quality was not good. Very few items. Did not had any biryani in the buffet. The restaurant run to make money ,no love and care for the food, quality and people.

The interior is gorgeous and would be a great place for a date or celebratory dinner. Their food though is next level, it really is well above the typical indian food around. The saag with paneer is so much smoother and richer, and the chicken tikka salad is really healthy and not greasy, while having a ton of flavor. But what gets me every time is the papadum. Here they serve it with a tomato-onion salsa which is delicious and light. Love takeout from here!

The ambiance was really nice. It has a really classy feel with pretty decor, and the restaurant is pretty spacious. There's also a banquet hall next door for events and parties. Service was a little slow, but expected because of how crowded it was for Mother's Day. They also had a special menu, so the selection was a bit more limited than usual. For appetizers, we got the malai chicken tikka and the ancho paneer tikka. The malai chicken tikka was good and came with chutney, although it was slightly dry. The ancho paneer tikka also tasted good, but it had a slightly chewy texture. The entrees stood out more. My favorite was the butter chicken. The gravy was creamy and flavorful, and the chicken pieces were soft. While I didn't personally try the goat curry or the desi ghee dal tadka, my family really liked both. They said that the goat curry had a really flavorful gravy with tender pieces, and the dal was light and comforting. The chicken Mughlai biryani was good too. The rice was aromatic and not very spicy. We also got the bread basket, which came with an assortment of naans and Amritsari kulcha. Everything came out warm and soft. The food is definitely on the pricier side. Quantities weren't so large, but the flavor and experience were good, so if you're willing to splurge a little on an upscale lunch or dinner, it's worth a try!

Near the entrance sat a beautifully arranged bar selection, while the spacious seating areas easily accommodated larger gatherings of ten to twelve guests without feeling crowded. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between modern comfort and lively elegance. Equally memorable was the hospitality. The service throughout the evening was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely warm. Our server, Khushi, delivered exceptional customer service with kindness and confidence, guiding us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations and patience that elevated the entire dining experience. The butter chicken was undoubtedly the star of the meal -- rich, savory, and deeply aromatic. Every bite carried layers of warm spices that blended beautifully into the velvety, creamy sauce. The dish had a comforting depth of flavor without overwhelming the palate. Paired alongside it was the garlic naan, served warm with the perfect touch of crispness around the edges. Its buttery garlic aroma complemented the butter chicken flawlessly, making each bite even more indulgent. The samosas were another standout appetizer. Golden and crisp on the outside with a satisfying crunch, they opened to reveal a soft, fluffy potato filling seasoned beautifully with traditional spices. When paired with the accompanying sauces, the flavors became even more vibrant and addictive. To finish, the jalebi provided the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Delicately crisp yet syrupy and rich, it offered a delightful contrast after such a flavorful and spice-forward dining experience. Its sweetness lingered pleasantly, leaving the evening on a memorable note. Overall, this restaurant delivers not only flavorful dishes but also an atmosphere and level of hospitality that make the experience feel complete from beginning to end.
