Came here for lunch ~2 pm with my parents. Daas sweets has been around for a while but only recently they started selling food. When we walked in, the owner greeted us and walked us through the menu. There's plenty of room inside and the display of sweets made my mouth water! Everything we tried was soooo delicious! I ordered a 3 dish plate so I got butter chicken, chilli chicken, pasta and rice for just $9.99! You get plenty of food for the price. I got naan on the side for $1.50. Butter chicken (10/10): A classic and it was so yummy! Most other places in this area have mediocre butter chicken in my opinion. Daas sweets has the best butter chicken in the area! The chicken was super tender and the curry was delicious. Will definitely order this every time I come. Chili chicken (8/10): Really good choice! Only wish it was a bit spicier. Flavor was really good though. Pasta (6/10): A nice Indian twist on a white sauce pasta! It was a bit on the sweet side though which isn't my preference which is why I'm knocking off some points. But if you're craving something mild and slightly sweet I recommend this. Vegetable biryani (6/10): It was good but a little bit under seasoned and was lacking salt. I will say though, this pairs really well with any of the curries on the side. I think this was intentionally made mild since it's meant to be eaten with the curries. Naan (10/10): Soft, warm and delicious! The naan just melts in your mouth and they brought it out fresh for us. Will definitely order naan from here every time I come! My mom is vegetarian and tried the saag paneer, mixed vegetable Manchurian and channa masala. Saag paneer (9/10): Wish my order came with more paneer pieces. Flavors were delicious though. Manchurian (9.5/10): Delicious! Knocking off 0.5 because it was lacking some spice. Channa masala (10/10): Channa was perfectly cooked and the dish is super flavorful! Overall super super delicious and we'll be back often! The service was excellent and I cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and come here when you get the chance! read more

*** This review is not about the food *** I was driving home today (sat 7-11-26) in Lathrop. A delivery truck from this company was driven ng very dangerously. West bound.on Louise, the driver ran a red light, drifted between lanes, and swerved out of a turn only lane to go straight! All this in the space of a mile and maybe just over 3 minutes.i certainly would not look at this company to deliver to my house. Very reckless driving! read more

I can't believe I never YELPed this place. In Antioch, they have a gem of a place in sweets. This place provides all the Indian/Pakistani markets and some restaurants with their well known delicious sweets! This is authentic Indian/Pakistani Punjabi desserts! Made fresh on the premises. Their carrot halwa you can taste the pure carrots meticulously grinded- it is absolutely delicious. We also like the Burfi, milk cake which I like it is flaky and tastes like the Middle Eastern halwah style. My kids like the jellabi and gulab jamun( tasty soaked donuts). They are great at what they do- we have the best in our area! Now get the word out there- they are opening a restaurant as well in the next 2 weeks! If the cooking is as good as their desserts, I can't wait to try it! So I will update once I try their menu! Great small business in Antioch-a true gem! I think overall, my favorites are the milk cake( like the flakiness for some reason), carrot halwa, white Burfi ( with pistachios or without- depending on my mood). Rest I like once in awhile but those are my favorites- I might add the new mango Burfi to that list too. Now, these are not like American sweets- totally different and a little bit goes a long way bc they can get pretty sweet. So I eat a pinch at a time with hot homemade chai tea- maybe half or one bar at a time for me bc very sweet. My husband can chow down like 3-4 squares or the whole box if I let him! Great food and the friendliest service! The shop is small and very comfortable and clean. You can dine-in or takeout. They have an a la carte menu or you can order a rice combo , which is a really affordable and quick meal. All of the entrees on the combo menu are flavorful and filling (but if you don't like spicy food, you should order a la carte.) They also have a pastry case! We took home an assorted sweets box that is delicious so far. I'm excited to go back and to have this as a neighborhood restaurant! read more

Very authentic Indian food flavors. Some restaurants add so much red chili and salt that one can't taste the real flavors and only taste the red chilies. . Not this place. This is a review for a package of coconut gulab jamun & gulab jamun sandwhich. I purchased them at an Indian Bazar in Concord. I'm very impressed; I was looking for the pink or rose flavored barfi/ gulab jamun sandwiches but those are a little harder to find. This review is for the roasted burfi. Their roasted burfi has too much sugar. When you eat, you get more taste of raw sugar and less taste of milk/khoya. In general, their sweets have more sugar. Their gulab jamun also had quite a bit of sugar, but it was better than the roasted burfi. read more

The sweets here are great - my (Punjabi) mom is pretty particular when it comes to food, but she loves the sweets from here, esp the barfi. The service i received is what made me want to write a review. The young guy at the counter was incredibly patient with my indecisiveness. He went through the list of all the types of matai they sell, making sure i picked up just what i needed. This business need a formal inspection! Please be aware that their products are not labeled accurately and this is a painful discovery for food allergy sufferers. We have a gluten allergic individual in our household, and they had the gulab jamun recently as the ingredients DONOT MENTION WHEAT FLOUR anywheres on the packaging. They had a terrible reaction after. We never thought it could have been the gulab jamun because again, the ingredients never mentioned it. Anyway a day later we called the company Dass Sweets to double check - only to be casually told "it contains some wheat flour but thank you for telling us and we will change the label henceforth". Shouldn't someone in the food industry, running a business no less, already be aware of these things ? The insanely casual attitude about what is a clearly an oversight is astonishing and frankly dangerous for the health of their patrons. These guys need a formal inspection! After having this experience we feel nervous about what else might be in the Sweets that's not labeled. Best to AVOID them by a mile. read more

Dass Sweets and snacks are sold all over the bay area in Indian grocery stores. This place is like a factory outlet. The people at the counter are nice and sell only fresh stuff. Today I asked the lady if the samosa on the counter was fresh. She said no and offered to make a few for me in the next batch which she was going to start in a few minutes.
