We hadn't decided what to order before arriving and the menu at the cash register didn't say what was in the different dishes so we asked the cashier what to get and yolo'd. Think we got a mylappre dosa, a marsala dosa, and a pongal vadai combo but I couldn't tell you for sure. Then, before we'd even settled in and googled what we ordered, the food was at our table with a waiter that had a bunch of sauces on a tray. I grabbed one of each not realizing each plate came with their own set of sauces and that they'd be rotating around to bring more if you needed. Whoops! Overall, food was fine and meal was obviously super fast, but it was a whirlwind and not necessarily kind of newcomers interested in trying the cuisine for the first time. Oh! I did get a chai which was lovely, but even that they give you a token which you redeem whenever you want your chai. I was super confused and asked the cashier when I could get my chai and he said, "oh, you want it now?" and took the token back before making my drink. Just felt overwhelming but it'd be easier to go back now that I've done it and maybe that was an authentic experience?

It was on the spicier side but a good spice level. One of the employees who I presume was the owner was telling us they are planning many to do hibachi style with a mix of Indian, Japanese, Italian, and American. Hence the grills. Service was fine. It was a bit difficult to get ahold of service at times but in their defense, there was a large party that came in after us. Great for groups!

Walked around the building looking for the entrance. Tripped at least once on uneven payment. Upon entering I was greeted, given a menu, assigned a seat at the bar. Seeing it was a drink menu, I asked for a food menu. After consultation with bartender, I ordered. He gave order to waitress. Never saw him again. 5ish minutes later, waitress came over to inquire what I wanted to drink. "Water" i replied. Water came 12 minutes later with my food. Offerings: South India fare: soup, entrees, salads, entrees, vegetarian, non-vegetarian. Also pasta, India habachi. Bites: Dakshin Chicken Chettinad (18.99) med. Spicy. Small bowl with big spoon -boneless chicken pieces slowly braised in a savory with many spices (garlic, cumin, black pepper, star anise, funnel seeds, kok slaps...), south curry leaves, and coconut. Every bite deliz. -very condensed savory mix with plentiful Unami. Hotness from peppers not chilis. Tandoori garlic naan (3.99) ordered this. Got plain. Tasted plain. Not spiciness. Desired garlic not to repel vampires but to lower my cholesterol. Didn't discover discrepancy till I checked receipt. When finished, I asked the new bartender for bill. He called waitress. She came over and asked can she clear plates? "Ok" I said. She did and disappeared. Asked bartender again for my bill. Decor is lots of bright lites, big dining area, 2 flatscreens tuned to sports. A fish tank with no fish, lots of hanging faux leaves from ceiling & the left wall. 3.5 stars Food wonderful. Service & decor underwhelming. Doubtful repeat.

The food is consistently incredible we never leave without ordering the Chicken Shahi Paneer and the Lachcha Paratha (the perfect combo!). Their Chicken Kebabs and Chicken Curry are also staples for us; they have that authentic, comforting, homemade taste that you just can't find everywhere. But what really makes this place special is the people. "Aunty" is absolutely the sweetest; she is always so incredibly welcoming and warm. She truly makes us feel like family every time we walk through the door. Even my son loves it here! Whether we are dining in or grabbing takeout, the experience is always positive and full of heart. If you're looking for delicious food and genuine hospitality, this is the place to be. We're so grateful to have them in our community!

I didn't try the chaat papdi but heard it was good. The paneer tikka was fine, but it was a little cold, and I wish it were crispier on the outside. For the mains, we got dal makhani, shahi paneer, and a bread basket of naans. We also tried the Amritsari kulcha with chole. I liked the dal and shahi paneer. The naan was soft and warm, and there was a good amount in the basket. The entrees were a little small, though. Service was fine, and the food was decent. It's an option you could consider if you're in the area.

Here's what we had: 1. Nalgonda Mutton Fry - delicious! 2. Guntur Karam Kodi Kebab - literally so tender and so tasty and absolutely fantastic! 3. Kodi Seekulu on sticks - also very tasty and tender but with everything else this didn't stand out 4. Lentil & Vegetable lollipop - for being vegetarian it was incredibly tasty 5. Pachimirchi Kodi pulao - I didn't get a chance to take a pic but also incredibly tasty! 6. Ended with a combo dessert which was fantastic. Honestly kudos to the chef here because I thoroughly enjoyed the food!

Weekends is buffet only for lunch. It was a good option for us as we are a mix of vegetarians and meat eaters, kids and adults. This allows us to taste many dishes without having to order a lot of items. They had setup a large table on one side of the restaurant and this gave us enough privacy to be by ourselves. The service was good but they were refilling the Naans on request. But they cleared our plates and filled water promptly. The food was a good mix and all of us liked it. There were some issues and we pointed it out to the manager and he was appreciative of the feedback. He even offered to give us some samplers to take home. We were already full and so declined. We would definitely go back again if we are in the area.

Wife and i wanted Indian food for dinner. We drove around,…read moretwo previous restaurants were purely Vegetarian. We noticed Gurkha Kitchen and decided to give them a try. Ill start with the positive portion of my review. We ordered Butter Chicken & Garlic Naan. Flavors were very good. I asked to keep spicy on the mild side. It was perfect. We only ordered 1 item because i was a bit put off by the service for a ToGo order. The waiter carried on a LOUD conversation with the other clerk in their language. I felt no opportunity to ask about another dish or appetizers. The restaurant was rather loud with several conversations and laughter going on loudly amongst the young male employees - seemed like they were the owners. As I mentioned, the Butter Chicken was good,, but so is the Butter Chicken from Trader Joe's at 1/4 the price. Conveniently located,, but im not sure I would return,, with another NEW Indian restaurant opening across the freeway ( near SPROUTS).
