Very dry rice and meat. No flavor either. Total waste of a biryani. Cloud kitchen, should not make biryani if you don't know how to.

Quality food, made with care and closer to homemade flavors, aroma and texture. The biryani is high quality.

They sent us directions to pick up in the back, but we got a little lost. Leonard, the owner, came out to find us and introduced himself and shared a little about the food and their projects. He was such a nice guy with big plans for the food! Into the food itself - The tuna mayo onigiri was STUFFED. There was so much flavor in every bite. I was a little cranky you have to order in twos but afterwards that first bite, I'm glad I had a whole one to myself! We got the Portuguese sausage with musubi and chili oil. The chili oil had a lot of heat and flavor to it! I don't recommend the chili oil if you're picturing a light spice because it packs a punch. But if you like the fire, highly recommend! My partners favorite was the classic teriyaki spam with unagi and avocado. I really enjoyed the portion sizing of each item - created a really perfect bite. The unagi had an extra smokiness to it. I think it's probably prepared in house/not supermarket unagi - the taste was quite different from that! The chicken lumpia was crispy and perfectly seasoned - not too salty and savory. The Thai chili sauce wasn't too spicy at all either. We'd definitely be back to try more!

The quality honestly reminds me of the kind of musubi you'd get in Hawaii, similar to places like Iyasume. Ever since trying musubi in Hawaii years ago, I've been hooked, and Musubi Libre is one of the very few places here that really gives me that same feeling/experience I've had. While the musubi are absolutely amazing, and it is their namesake, the Mrs. And I really like the onigiri! It's surprisingly hard to find truly good onigiri here in the US that lives up to the quality of the ones you'd get in Japan. Leonard, the owner clearly puts a ton of effort into each. He's definitely perfected his craft. The Mrs. and I have ordered from here casually many times before on our days off. We've tried the tuna, mentaiko, and ume. Mentaiko is my personal fave. The tuna is excellent too, and the ume has a classic salty-tangy flavor that's unique and refreshing. It's a great option for vegetarians as well. Recently, we ordered from Leonard to have onigiri catered for our daughter's birthday party. We got those 3 flavors. Originally, we just wanted something unique for the adults alongside the chicken nuggets and pizza we got for the kids. Man, we are so glad we did. The onigiri was a massive hit! People absolutely loved it, including guests who weren't necessarily huge into Japanese food or culture. They disappeared FAST! Like so fast I didn't get to eat one myself! This place is seriously a hidden gem in the East Bay. Definitely stop by, try the musubi and onigiri, and say hi to Leonard, who is genuinely one of the nicest people/owners you'll meet.

When I came back to them a couple years later, the price point had gone up & I was priced out.) The portion sizes were large. I think it was like $12-13/meal. 99% of the dishes were delicious. I was REALLY pleasantly surprised at the flavor & taste. I expected gentrified dishes. It was good! I was also specifically looking for meal delivery that generated less waste. Planter table delivered that. I got cool enough with my driver (and tipped well!) that he brought me a little thank you plant. I loved that I had the same driver each time. It was just a really pleasant experience overall. Nothing bad to say.

I am not vegan but this hits the spot and is the best meal service I have found. The food is still amazing and I'm happy to see the meal options have expanded, there's seasonal produce options and Acme bread, and now they post calorie information. They have family style option to get a bigger portion for those who have a family, or for me, to bring to a pot luck. They also have individual desserts and full size pies/cakes. Seriously - they have everything. They no longer offer wine for those who care. There are some additional pick up options, too, but I stick with Jack London Square on Wednesdays from 11:30-2:00. After reading recommendations from other Yelpers, I ordered the Breakfast Baddie sandwich, and wow--it lived up to the hype. I ate it so fast! The combination of melty cheese and the chipotle sauce was incredible. It was packed with flavor without being overwhelming. My mom ordered a mocha, and I treated myself to a mimosa to celebrate. Both were delicious, but what really made the experience special was the thoughtful birthday surprise. Instead of the typical cupcake or scoop of ice cream, they brought me a little "Birthday Brie" with crackers, fresh fruit, and honey. It was such a unique touch, and since Brie is my favorite cheese, I was genuinely so excited. Before we left, I also grabbed a Biscoff cookie. It was huge, soft, and absolutely delicious. I expected it to be super sweet, but it had the perfect balance, which I loved. We arrived right when they opened at 8:00 a.m., and by the time we were finishing up, the café had really started to fill up. It's easy to see why! Great food, thoughtful service, and such a cozy atmosphere. I definitely won't wait so long before coming back.

Just a couple suggestions regarding a few dishes we have ordered which could use some more flavor. Just a recommendation to improve your chicken salad, so it's not so dry, no flavor, needs salt. Maybe add mayo, Dijon, and sour cream with apples and walnuts? The avocado toast needs to have more flavoring other than just slicing avocado on some toast. Toast was difficult to cut. Try using some balsamic glaze over micro greens/arugula and a little EVO would go a long way. Maybe guacamole for the avocado toast and top with a fried egg (not crispy on the edges). We have found Tony Chachere's seasoning elevates many dishes, and would be a great accent for avocado toast ;) The cookies are dry & flavorless, our toddler wasn't interested in her cookie despite the pretty sprinkles. Just fyi - Ina G has some great recipes. We like your place these are just suggestions to consider.

I found Chef Debbie from a Facebook recommendation and gave her a try -- now we order two meals and…read moresalads from her almost every week! Her food is healthy, but not so healthy it's not delicious, well-portioned, so fresh, and more importantly it's SO CONVENIENT! This isn't an online ordering anytime service - she has curated menus every week which she can tailor to, or even prepare for, your family! She starts with a consultation to understand your needs and present her philosophy. Then you place your order Monday, and it appears on your doorstep the following Sunday. On top of the convenience (the food appears clearly labeled and conveniently packaged up in compostable containers) what I love is that it's gourmet, freshly prepared, local, seasonal, and often organic food! It's what I want to put in my and my kids bodies so I feel my best, but I don't have any time to cook it myself. It really satisfies my need for variety, without having to spend tons on takeout every week. Some highlights include her Tajin Steak tacos with Mango Salsa, her Moroccan Lemon Chicken with rice pilaf, and she has an excellent kampachi fish on her build-your-own menu that I haven't had anywhere else. Get it with the red pepper sauce! Unlike meal kits like Blue Apron where it was never quite enough food, and of course you have to cook it, her portions have been on point! You just tell her how many people you're feeding, how many kids, and she seems to always get it right! Finally, you can order as much or as little as you want. She has hearty salads that change every week; juices; a la carte proteins, starches, and veggies; and breakfasts and desserts! Just order how much your family needs each week, or better yet, let her do it! It's not a budget option, but when you calculate the mental time you save, the quality ingredients, and then compare it to a DoorDash takeout delivery with delivery fees for the variety she provides - it's a great value and better food, without waiting!

Seems like they post their weekly menus on their website, so you can kind of get a sense of what type of meals you might get. So if you're looking to get a better sense of what may be in your 'bag', then I recommend looking there first! Pickup was quick. Someone noticed me standing by the door and after letting them know I was there to pick up a Too Good to Go order, he got my boxes really quickly. The meal I ended up getting was a turkley bolognese pasta with some steamed broccoli. Very simplistic dish that tasty alright. For this specific meal, I'm not sure I would so inclined to pay full price for the meal prep since it is cheaper and very easy to make this at home. That said, I can see the appeal for those who are just too busy overall and want fast, healthy meals without having to cook. Overall, glad to have tried another local establishment. Would recommend trying this on 2G2G first if you're not sure you'll like the food.
