Came here for breakfast and got the bacon egg & cheese biscuit, hash browns, and cheese grits. The biscuit was soft and tasted like it came out of the oven a while ago. The inside was bready, not flaky. It lacked the contrast in textures a good biscuit should have been the exterior and interior. The egg and bacon tasted like they were cook about an hour ago, and the slice of cheese was not melted at all. Gross. The hash browns were the worst part of the meal. They resemble the patties you get at the golden arches, but were inedibly greasy. The only thing that saved breakfast was the cheese grits. They are creamy, cheesy, and tasty. I think this place is so popular because its a) open Sunday b) cheap and c) fast, but I could get a better breakfast sandwich and hash browns at a 7-11. read more

I realize my one star rating is an outlier here. But hear me out. I ate here one Sunday morning with my father. We are both serious and very experienced (I'm in my fifties and my father is in his eighties) breakfast eaters and love a good and hearty country breakfast on the weekend. I saw the other Yelp reviews and thought the place sounded perfect. My father ordered eggs over medium, sausage and grits and I ordered two ham biscuits. We were told the only way they served eggs was scrambled. Disappointing, I thought, but its pretty hard to screw up scrambled eggs after all. Wrong. They weren't scrambled at all. They were those little squares of powdered eggs they serve at McDonald's on your Egg McMuffin. I'm serious! Nasty. Anyway, they got the order wrong and sent out two plates of sausage and eggs instead of one. No big deal. But the sausage was completely tasteless, overcooked and very tough. You could tell it had been cooked much earlier in the day and then kept warm until ordered. The grits were indescribably horrible. I literally took one bite and couldn't face a second. In fact, I would have spit it out but I didn't want to gross the other diners out. These were not real grits, but the instant kind. They tasted like motor oil had been added to keep them from congealing. I get sick just thinking about it. :( To be fair, the biscuits were decent. Not memorable, but decent. With a little butter and homemade jam (which I had to request from the girl behind the counter), they tasted pretty good. But I warn you, they give you opened jars of jam which have previously been used by other diners, so you don't know if people have been dipping into the jar again after smearing it onto a half eaten biscuit. Probable not real sanitary. By the way, the table we sat at had not been cleaned all morning. Food crums everywhere, so again, not real sanitary. I wouldn't not recommend this place to anyone looking for even a passable breakfast. It makes Waffle House look like a gourmet dining experience. DO NOT waste your time, money and most importantly, your stomach on this garbage pit. For all the other Yelpers who posted such good reviews on this dump, well, they must either work there or grew up eating Fruit Loops for breakfast. I highly recommend this place if you're in East Cobb and searching for a breakfast option. 1 order of hash browns for around $1.50 yields you two 'McDonald's style' hash brown parties fried and salted to your cholesterol's content! The biscuits are deliciously dense and I've had them with country ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, cheese, chicken, and even covered in gravy. All were a hit in my book. Especially the biscuits & gravy. The "Must Try" here is hands down the cheese grits. It's buttery, creamy, & rich in both texture and flavor. At about the same price as a drive-thru breakfast option, this place will provide you with a better product and a nice place to sit and have your breakfast. (As "nice" as you can get in a Kroger-anchored shopping center that is....but, still, it's a nice spot.) You can tell this is a neighborhood spot frequented by locals. That means its busy in the mornings, but it has a ton of indoor seating and a couple of tables in the sidewalk outside. They also have TVs across the walls inside if you don't want to talk to whoever you're with. I wasn't sure what to expect when I stopped by for a morning bite, but this place is fantastic. In East Cobb, a land plagued by fancy spots and inflated menus (and inflated prices), Biscuits & More is truly refreshing. Immediately, I was reminded of Rhea's restaurants...dive interiors, no frills, limited menu and very low prices. Serving biscuits (surprise, surprise), sandwiches, burgers, sides, and the creamiest cheese grits south of the Mason Dixon, B & M keeps prices as low or lower than fast food chains, but with a quality you can only hope for at an independently owned spot. read more

This seems to be a big time local fav. I've visited a few times and I love the fact that you see young people working the register and in the back. I remember how hard it was to get a job in high school, so I think its cool that he employs them. Now the food. Pretty good biscuit sandwiches, nothing too crazy or out of the norm. I really like their chicken biscuit. Flaky and delicious. Now what really made my eyes pop out of my head...the cheese grits. Whoa!!!! Hands down..the most tastiest..delicious..super crazy grits I've ever tasted (and I thought I hated grits!!) Crazy cheesy. I could order a large cheese grits, a side of sausage, mix them together n George Jefferson walk..right out that piece!!! If you're in the area, give it a shot. Here in the Atlanta area we have a few choices when it comes to biscuit joints. You have your Flying Biscuit, an upscale frufru eatery that started as a biscuit joint and progressed into a roasted red pepper hummus wrap. Then there is Swallow & Hollow in Roswell. And then of course Folks, and finally a few other mom n pop joints. Biscuits & More is just such a joint. Situated square in upper East Cobb, this is a family operated establishment that is very much a staple in the local community. The staff are all quite friendly, and most have grown up in the area. The clientele is dominated by regulars - including yours truly. We try to go at least once every two weeks. Now, despite the name of the establishment, the killer menu item here is not the biscuits! I actually prefer flying biscuits for that. No, here the best menu item is the cheese grits. Oh my. They are just incredible. You want to amp them up? Get some cheese grits with sausage and jalapeños. This particular combination is not on the menu but they will gladly do it for you. I've also sampled the chicken sandwich and the fried green tomatoes. Both are okay. But I'm also a FGT snob because I make my own tempura FGT. One other note: get a BLT. The bacon is thick and crispy, and the tomatoes are fat and juicy. Get it in lettuce and skip the bread for a healthier option. If you like bread, the oatmeal bread is damn fine! UPDATE: ok so I can bump this joint up to 5 stars. I have eaten here at least once a week. Service is friendly and not in your face, people are nice, and it's locally owned and Chuck employs local kids. And, Chuck keeps lollipops behind the counter just for my kids! I spend a good chunk of time in Roswell and the surrounding 'burbs, and I can't believe I hadn't even heard of Biscuits and More until this morning. I have been missing out, and if you haven't been, you're missing out too. This place is a no frills breakfast joint, and I wouldn't change a thing about it. Everything I liked about the now closed Biscuitman Cafe in Roswell is present here and then some. First, the community feel of this place from the moment you walk in is unavoidable. From the obvious regulars eating breakfast at the bar, to the numerous families, to the posters covering the walls announcing community events and missing dogs, this place has obviously become more than just a restaurant to many. However, all the good intentions in the world mean nothing if the food isn't there to back it up. Fortunately, the atmosphere is matched perfectly by the rich, flaky biscuits stuffed with all your traditional fillings that come to your table wrapped in white butcher paper. I personally sampled the sausage and egg biscuit and the buttered biscuit, and I wouldn't deviate from this order on your return visit. Best of all, the price is right, with the priciest biscuit on the menu coming in at under $3 (most are $2.49), and the plain buttered biscuit ringing in at just over a buck. Add in a cup of coffee, a tea, or a soda (all self serve with unlimited refills), and there's still no way your breakfast can come in over $6. On my list to try next time are the cheese grits, which were so adorably smeared all over the face of the cooing toddler in the high chair at the table next to me. read more

This is one of my favorite places in East Cobb. Its refreshing in an area plagued with fast food everywhere. I love stopping on here on the way to work to grab a delicious biscuit and some fresh sweet tea (my morning coffee)! The food is always delicious. I'd highly recommend any of the biscuits! They are also opened later with hamburgers and other sandwiches. I haven't tried that yet but if the breakfast is any indication I'm sure it's great. I came here twice to try it out after reading the reviews here. I struggled between giving it three or four stars. I think it's somewhere in between. This place is set up as a type of breakfast fast food place with a lunch menu, and the prices put it on the same category as other fast food places like Chick-Fil-A. In my opinion it is far better than chain fast food places. The first time I came I had lunch and ordered a hamburger and cole slaw. WIth coffee, the whole thing came under $6. That's a great price. The hamburger was decent, but there was nothing special about it. The same for the cole slaw, but the serving size was a little bigger than I would have expected. The second time I came for breakfast, since that is really their specialty. I had a buttered biscuit, sausage biscuit, and coffee. The biscuits were above average and pretty flaky. I preferred the buttered biscuit. The sausage biscuit was a little too dry for my tastes. The coffee was only average. This place is really a great bargain. It's pleasant to sit there and eat your meal, and they have a few outside tables. The food is decent and worth coming back for. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a quick, inexpensive bite. read more

Man oh man. You haven't really lived until you've tried the sausage biscuit with gravy on top, plus a side of hash browns and cheese grits. The hash browns are just the right amount of crispy and have a really good, onion-y flavor to them. Not saying you can indulge in this goodness everyday without a hardcore workout plan, but man it is worth it!! Only complaint, if you can even call it that, is I wish they had a more extensive beverage selection. Great customer service, too. Rarely does a restaurant reach beyond just the food it provides. There are many restaurants I can think of that provide delicious food and excellent service consistently. However, BAM is the only restaurant in my memory that goes beyond that and truly fosters a community. Throughout my entire high school stint, I would frequently find myself here. When I had a full day of classes, I would go in the morning and get a chicken biscuit with some juice. When my schedule changed, I would go in between school and work and get a cheesesteak. The time may of changed, but the quality didn't. Constantly packed, Biscuits and More customers consist of locals and students alike, all eagerly awaiting their tasty comfort food. Before hikes, this would be my trail mates' and I's choice of breakfast. The restaurant regularly sponsors High School teams and has many of my high school's team pictures lining the walls. They hire locally as well, as more than one of my fellow classmates have served me my food. Biscuits and more provides a worthwhile, wholesome, delicious experience from start to finish. We had had their famous to-die-for cheese grits and other great breakfast items, but Hilde Bent (owner of Chique Hair Design next door to Biscuits and More) recommended we try their lunch, too. I've been lurking several food review sites for years, never signed up. This place made me sign up. My coworkers told me to come here, as it is on my way to work. Told me the grits were good, but I don't like grits, so I didn't try them. They said the other things were good too. They weren't. I got a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, and a sausage gravy biscuit, each were close to 3 dollars, so it was over 6 dollars total. The bacon was overcooked to the point that it was brown and black and the eggs were very thin and obviously out of a carton. Moving on, the gravy was gooey and lukewarm, and the sausage was not cooked right - it seemed like it was steamed or something. I have eaten here 2-3 times a week for the past two years. The owner is Chuck Morris, and we call him the "Black Belt of Biscuits". He and his hand picked staff are all consistently positive and upbeat. The food and service are consistently good. The Biscuits are great, and the grits are as good as my grand dad's ever were.
