I was in the area and Biscuits BBQ popped up on my list of nearby spots. I almost stopped at the pizza place next door, and I'm glad I didn't. If I lived nearby, I would be a regular. The restaurant is small, with a handful of tables inside and a few out front, but it has a rustic, comfortable feel. The employees were especially welcoming. They chatted with us, asked where we were from, and even wanted to know if we had a favorite BBQ place back home. While talking with them, I got the sense that they put a lot of thought into their food. They had three distinct sauces, and everything felt genuine rather than forced. I had heard about Alabama white BBQ sauce before but had never tried it, so ordering the Bama Chicken Sandwich was an easy decision. My partner got the ribs, and we shared a side of potato salad. The Bama Chicken Sandwich was a hit with both of us. The ribs were also excellent: tender, moist, and full of flavor. I've had a lot of BBQ over the years, and this was definitely some of the best. Tucked away from all the fancy restaurants, this small restaurant is worth a try. It was my first time trying this BBQ spot and I was very impressed with the food. I ordered 2 platters ($30 each) which came with a little bit of everything: 1 pork rib, pulled pork, tri-tip, a biscuit, mac n cheese, and banana pudding. You can also choose different bbq sauces from tangy to mild. I personally liked the red wine bbq sauce. I thought the berry one was super spicy. Pulled Pork: Delicious! I loved how they topped it off with fried onions. 10/10 Tri-tip: Was ok. I didn't taste the smokiness. 5/10 Pork Rib: One rib just isn't enough! 9/10 Mac n Cheese: The pasta was a little overcooked but overall tasty. 6/10 Banana pudding: Delicious. 10/10 Overall, the service was great from the beginning to the end. I really enjoyed the BBQ here. The meats weren't greasy and the seasoning was well balanced -- not overly salty like a lot of BBQ places. The sauces were also thoughtfully done, with real depth of flavor instead of just being overly sweet. The biscuit with truffle butter was incredibly fragrant and delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't eat it until I got home and it had already cooled down -- I can only imagine how amazing it would have been fresh and warm. I honestly don't know how this place has such rave reviews. The service was awkward, I was greeted by 3 guys but it didn't feel welcoming. I ordered the platter sampler for $30 and a side of biscuits. The platter came with tri tip, Mac n cheese, pulled pork, a rib, mini biscuit and banana pudding. First of all, the banana pudding had NO bananas in it! Except one slice which was on top. Such a shame because it was a very cute presentation but it was basically a cup of whip cream with crumbs inside. I kept digging my around to find a banana but to no avail. I guess they're trying to cut costs but damn I never had a banana pudding with NO BANANAS. That was insane. The Mac n cheese tastes like KFC mac n cheese. The rib was the scrawniest rib ever. There was barely any meat on it and it did not have a smoke ring or bark. The tri tip was ok, not great not bad. The pulled pork was not my thing. The biscuits were dry and disappointing (especially for $10 for 2). I tried 3 of the sauces but none of them were to my taste. I ordered my food to go but there were no napkins, utensils or sauces put in the bag. When I asked about it I was basically told to go back inside and get it myself. I went to four other BBQ places in the area because of the quantity of reviews. Hit this place last on a whim. It's a little mom & pop place off the main road. I've been to many BBQ places around the US including Nashville, Texas and Kansas City. These babies were so tender, the rich rendered marbling throughout was spot on. Great food, friendly fast service, and a cool ambiance is how I would describe Biscuits BBQ. I heard about this new restaurant in Napa from a few people I trust, and they gave it the thumbs up. My first time here, I tried the Smoked Chicken Sando. It came on a toasted hoagie roll with an incredible mozzarella cheese skirt inside. Napa local, first visit 4/4/25. Pros: Potato salad and The house made spicy BBQ sauce was excellent. Great flavor on both, just right amount of heat on sauce. Nice bun and crunch on the coleslaw. Cons: the sandwich we blindly chose, was smaller than others, the cubano and chicken were larger i guess. We got the brisket $18 bun and coleslaw. It wasn't bad but a little underwhelming for the price mostly the portion size. I sprung in for the half rack of baby back ribs. $20.66 with tax . These were really tender. Had a nice rub. I was just wishing it had a little bit more flavor, and portions but it was a perfect match with the spicy barbecue sauce. I forgot to mention that the owner was low-key undercover on hand at the register. She was kind & polite but didnt really make a huge connection with us. Got the feeling they were trying to wrap it up go home. Didnt even know they were closing up, they were still serving someone after us and people were dining inside and out. She informed us curtly that the homemade biscuits were already gone sold out. You have to get here early! Overall, not bad, I was left hungry and wanting more. Biscuits continues to be our goto BBQ Sando place. Overall my favorite has been the Smoked Chicken with Alabama White Sauce. There always is a version of this sando so I recommend this one. Also I got to try the homemade biscuits. As I was eating, I had this question pop into my head: where have you been all my life? Lol. If you see it on the menu this is a must try. My coworker and I wanted to try something different for lunch one day and since neither of us have had biscuits bbq since they've opened in Napa we decided it was time. Since it was our lunch we placed our order online and picked it up. The lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. We ordered two sandwiches so we could have half each. Not sure if anyone else does this; but I wanted to have a bite or two of one and then the other and savor the "best" for last..that didn't work. Although this is a fairly small spot, Biscuits BBQ is definitely a solid place to grab a bite in Napa. The staff were all very nice and welcoming, and the chicken sandwich I got wasn't dry at all. I really liked how well the bacon and their pesto went together! My friends got the smoked brisket sandwich, and one said the brisket was so juicy. Also got the mac salad and potato salad, and the mac salad is fairly mustard-forward. I love that, but if you're not that into that kind of thing, just know the mustard is very much there. my dad really wanted to try biscuits barbecue after we had tried another local barbecue spot nearby. We ended up trying it the day of the farmers market and they were open earlier than what was posted on their window. The ambience felt like ranch style with an intimate setting inside and a few high stools outside The service was pretty good, the woman behind the counter kind of helped us through the various sauce tastings. This tiny casual BBQ place caught my eye on yelp because we needed a quick bite before we started wine tasting in Napa. You order at the counter in this small place off a menu written on butcher paper. I love those types of menus and when we had questions the man behind the counter was the owner and said it is all great! So I ordered and got a sampler of the house made bbq sauces ready to put on my food. Well let me tell you the Sandwiches all came out so moist and flavorful they needed no sauces! Our absolute hands down favorite was the smoked chicken sando. OMG! I am not one who craves sandwiches but I will crave this one! It is deliciousness defined. The smoked chicken is smothered in Alabama white sauce and put inside a local fresh bun that has toasted mozzarella cheese on the inside. I am drooling as I write this as it was that good! The beef and cheddar was also a moist cheesy sandwich on a fresh bun, no other sauce was required. The biscuits were also so light and good we finished both of them there as they came out first. First of all, know that this is a small place so don't bring a group of 20 expecting to dine in (but they cater, so they can accomodate your group that way.) I was served by one of the owners and she could not have been nicer. I came in wanting some kind of sandwich and they have several interesting choices, but I ended up with their Fall Salad, a mix of hearty winter greens accented by slices of apple and persimmon, some bacon and a nice vinaigrette that was just enough. I ordered mine topped with tender and really delicious tri-tip and very happily dug my way down. From start to finish, everything was handled perfectly -- the setup was smooth, the service was friendly, and most importantly, the food was soooo good. I've noticed this bbq spot every time I've visited Pioneer Taproom. On my last visit, I decided to give them a try and I was not disappointed! We had the tri tip sandwich and the pork belly with arugula salad. The owners were very nice and gave us some background on their business. It's named after their cat, Biscuit! They also adopted a dog and named the Brody Burger after him - I'm definitely going to have to try that next time. Our food was so good and flavorful.
