Stayed at the Napa River Inn so we got a discount on pastries or breakfast at Sweetie Pies. Decided to opt for breakfast instead of the pastries delivered to our room. I opted for the Irresistible Fried Egg Sandwich and my wife got the Satisfying Breakfast Sandwich with bacon. We each got an Americano. We both loved our sandwiches. We aren't huge breakfast people and could have split and been fine. But we didn't. And we ate them all. The Americanos were decent. Not amazing, but good. You order at the front and pickup and pay at the back. They have a great system down and it worked flawlessly. They also were busy and she told us it might be 15-20 minutes. It was 23 minutes. So we appreciated the heads up. All in all, a good experience. We will go back tomorrow (and not because of the hotel discount). read more

I hyped my husband that we will try this as Bouchon was closes early and these were open serving sweet treats. Excepted more from Sweetie pies. There are also cookies, pastries, bars, brownies. For Mother's Day I got a 6 inch 3 layer chocolate mousse cake and large s'mores tart - both were decadent, rich and highly acclaimed by my family. My brother requested I get pies from Sweetie Pies for Thanksgiving this year and luckily I called the last day to order pies for Thanksgiving which was the week before. They are open half day on Thanksgiving so I opted to pick up the day before to not get stuck in traffic. I easily called and asked what their most popular pies were and they said pumpkin and apple pie so I had to get both. It came out to about $80. They have individual pies there from what's ever out so I wanted to try their Pear Berry Pie so I got an individual and there are nuts in it. Their pumpkin pie was nice and creamy and should be refrigerated. Their Apple Pie was very tangy and goes well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream! The crumble top was also SO good! Their fruit pies can be kept at room temperature. I enjoyed the individual ($13) Pear Berry pie, nice and tart and with the nuts was a perfect touch, still big enough to share! There's a little parking lot located around the Napa River Inn Front area, there's also street parking, and a parking garage on the corner. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, people were getting breakfast, coffee, and pastries too. A nice little spot to have breakfast or brunch if you're in Napa. Cute little spot. read more

Best Dutch apple pies in the area & some fun baked goods for sure, but definitely some of THE worst counter help in the area the past couple years. My husband and I come in here about once a month for coffee and a quick bite. Doesn't matter who is at the counter (male or female) we always have lackluster (depressed, irritated, unengaged) counter help. Of course, then they expect you to tip them 15 to 25%: For what(?) putting something in a bag and handing it to me with a coffee cup (to get my own) & a crappy attitude? Give me a break. Had the egg croissant sandwich yesterday presentation was wonderful the staff was very friendly and helpful. For take home desserts we had a peanut butter blonde. This was way too sweet. I couldn't taste any peanut butter. I could see it along with chocolate chunks but truly all I could taste was sugar. Please bakers measure sugar. The sticky bun also had too much sugar.
