Second time visiting Vintage Sweet Shoppe and this time for the Wine and Chocolate pairing. It was such a treat! Our host was very knowledgeable and explained each of the pairings in detail. Each of the chocolates that we tasted were so yummy that we bought a couple of pieces on the way out. Seating is available both inside and out but we decided to sit at the counter inside. It wasn't too busy but the vibes were great. I'm they have a good selection of wines that would be nice for gifting or a tasting of your own.

Who doesn't love chocolate and ice cream. Affogato with chocolate ice cream and pumpkin malt shake. It also has wine and other chocolates that o wish I bought a few. It was super busy as they were celebrating the day of the dead a few blocks over. The next trip I'm in the area I will buy some wine and chocolates.

We had so much fun at our wine and chocolate tasting! Tasting 1: moscato + white chocolate strawberry Tasting 2: Chardonnay + white chocolate Tasting 3: red blend + truffle & dark chocolate cherry Tasting 4: port + chocolate with salt Our server was a very sweet young lady. She described each chocolate piece and why it paired so well with each wine. We had our own private little tasting and did not feel rushed at all. Would love to try more wines with different chocolates in the future. Thank you for such a perfect little ending to our last night in Napa! Would recommended visiting VSS :)

Sweet stop at the Vintage Sweet Shoppe! A trip to downtown Napa is incomplete without something sweet! Our favorite for chocolates, truffles, gummies & gifts! Popcorn, pretzels, nuts & wine, you'll end up with everything if you stand in line ! ;)

I discovered the Vintage Sweet Shoppe a few years ago while staying at a nearby hotel, and it quickly became my favorite ice cream spot in the Bay Area. I love their thick yet easy-to-eat waffle cones, and favorite flavor is the dragon fruit sorbet, though it hasn't been on the menu lately. Although I've never tried, they also have chocolates, fudge and wine pairings. It's usually not crowded, with quick service, and I always make a point to stop by when I'm in the area.

    Almond joy cone

Came for the festival of lights and decided to do some browsing before nightfall. Stopped in on a whim and saw the ice cream offerings. I ordered a cup of banan pudding and my friend ordered a chocolate cone of almond joy. The banana was delicious, it had chunks of real banana and caramel swirled throughout as well as pieces of vanilla wafers. Only sad thing was the scoop was fairly small in size. Next time I will get a double. Yum! The shop was super cute inside and staff was friendly.

I purchased the wine pairing for two on Groupon and used it on my birthday during our trip to Napa. It's such a cute place. It's a small shoppe however the aroma of chocolate smells so good when you walk in. The experience was great overall! Our wine host Donya was wonderful and knowledgeable about the chocolate pairings with the wine. All the staff were friendly and we even met the owner while we were there. There's also an ice cream bar. All the chocolate is made in house and our favorite was the Strawberry White Chocolate. It was delicious and I highly recommend checking them out when you're in Napa!

Almost $15 for two peanut butter cups! Where's the peanut butter?!?! They are sold by the weight rather than per piece. Had I known they would be $7 each I would have passed. Very disappointing.

The flavor I remember is called Its A Goodie -- french vanilla with peanut butter and fudge chips. Yup, still awesome! Ok sweeter than my adult palette likes now but hella nostalgic. I paired it with coconut. Not a flavor I remember from back in the day but also an excellent taste. Again, adult me would like a little less sugar and perhaps the crunchiness of the coconut but I'm being picky. Mississippi mud pie seemed like something to try and I'm glad I asked for a taste. Coffee ice cream with a fudge swirl and crushed cookies. Both workers seemed happy and offered lots of suggestions. There's one table inside and a few more outside. They also have some tourist items like tshirts. When I got home, I researched Double Rainbow. There are a few stores left and you can order online (min 8 pints). Just ignore the saturated fat...

To start off, the line situation just isn't ideal, so it would be nice if they put up a rope to help cordon off the line from the payment area, but the service itself was very helpful and friendly and the ice cream barista was able to make the perfect shaved ice for me when I asked for light root beer syrup. My shaved ice was absolutely delicious and I loved their flavor options so I would definitely come back next time we're in Sonoma.

There was no one in the store when we visited, and no one behind us waiting so we took our time choosing. The lady working behind the counter seemed slightly exasperated with us. Regardless, we ended up picking a 9 piece box, which was $27. The subsequent times we visited, it was a different employee, who was more friendly so your experience may vary. Regardless, pretty good chocolate overall, albeit pricey, but the store feels kind of cold and sterile.

My absolute favorite is the Dang Dazy milk chocolate--its velvety texture paired with crunchy almond and hazelnut bits creates the perfect balance. The Earl Grey dark chocolate was also incredibly good. While the richness of the dark chocolate leans slightly dominant, you can still catch those subtle, fragrant notes of Earl Grey in each bite. At around $3 per bonbon, it's definitely on the pricier side--but considering the quality, creativity, and variety of flavors, I think it's completely justified. It's especially heartbreaking to share that this is widely considered one of the best artisan chocolate shops in California, and they're now closing their only store in Yountville due to slow business and rising costs. Losing a place like this feels like losing a true gem. If you're anywhere near Yountville, make the trip and show them some love while you still can.
