I didn't want to drive in traffic so I found a morning breakfast spot. It was fairly empty on a Thursday morning at 9am but that's to be expected. I was greeted immediately and was seated at my choice of tables. I was offered coffee but declined for Orange Juice. There was some sign about how everything was fresh....but the OJ definitely wasn't. I ordered a veggie omelet and wanted some fresh jalapeños but they only had pickled. That made me realize that everything was probably canned or from a jar. When my omelet arrived, I was surprised to see the cheese slightly melted on top instead of inside, to help bind the ingredients. It was also a processed slice which isn't really cheese. I cut into the fluffy omelet and the canned mushrooms, onions and peppers fell out. There is a distinct difference between fresh and canned produce. Unfortunately, the omelet lacked any flavor or salt. The red potatoes accompanying were slightly undercooked inside and were lacking any char. Again, not a grain of salt or seasoning, which potatoes always need. At least the Sourdough toast was well buttered and charred. The service was excellent, as was Jen, my server. As far as the food quality, average or slightly below. The staff is the highlight. read more

Our service was great, Jake was very attentive and apologized multiple times. We went in for a quick oh breakfast that took nearly two hours... drinks took 30 minutes.. no manager in sight. One of our favorite breakfast places! They have great food , good service, fair prices and very generous portions. Go for the biscuits, whatever you get, order a side of biscuits with their famous jam! You can actually purchase their jam to take home, we have several containers in the freezer at home. It's a charming decor and vibe, they are family friendly, wholesome environment. This location is good size and there is a breakfast bar area, so if you're solo or just with a plus 1 you can sneak into the bar. They do have some breakfast cocktails, too. read more

Love Biscuits breakfast. Went here for a daddy-daughter breakfast date and the chocolate chip pancake with chocolate syrup is a favorite for the kids. I had the banana caramel French toast which was perfectly balanced in sweetness and cook. I normally don't eat sweets for breakfast, but this was a treat. Not had a bad meal here. Even when there have been issues the kitchen and staff are quick to fix things. Had my go to this morning- biscuit's house omelette but sub all bacon for meat portion, crisp hash browns and sourdough toast. They reminded me why it's best to pay a few more bucks than some other breakfast spots. Bacon was very generous amount, cooked great, and texture and taste of the eggs spot on. Gentleman next to me was there for the first time and ordered very similarly but accidentally asked for French toast. He couldn't bring himself to send it back because it looked so good- instead he packed it to go. It's okay. My friend took me out for a birthday brunch. I have wondered what Biscuits was like because it is near the swimming I go to regularly. We both got a breakfast meal: bacon and eggs, chicken fried steak. The biscuits are fluffy and thick. The white gravy was nice and thick, but just tasted salty. The chicken fried steak was pretty good. My egg done over hard was alright. We were not wowed by the meal not its pricing. We enjoyed dining at the patio and our server was nice enough. Since we were there for breakfast we stuck with breakfast items. First, the coffee, I was pleased when I noticed the coffee cups were larger than normal. I always feel like a giant handling restaurants itty bitty coffee cups that have me bugging the waitress for a refill. Not here! The coffee tastes great, the cups are big and the service is wonderful. We ordered their any 3 items for $11.99 and there were so many options that I felt I could order exactly what I want without bugging for substitutions. The food came out quickly and was great we ordered eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, and wheat bread. I want to so madly give more than 2 stars but I just can't. It's horrible because my family loves coming here. Me personally I don't like coming here. I don't really like the quality of the food. The food leaves a nasty aftertaste in my mouth. I don't like that the waitresses and waiters don't continuously check on your table to make sure you have enough coffee or a beverage. Every time we've come in my order has been wrong. I love the Biscuits Cafe on 67th and Happy Valley. The food is consistently delicious and the service is friendly and personable - like a local diner. I hate writing bad reviews especially when the staff was so kind and service was so good. But I came on a bad day for the food or something. The pancakes were flat and a pale yellow color instead of the golden fluffy brown I was expecting. The loaded hash browns were saved by the 2 dollar upcharge for cheese sour cream and green onion. They were mushy even when offered "crispy" and there was no seasoning on them. Table salt and pepper helps but like, idk maybe I just can't imagine cooking any kind of potato without seasoning.
