I was way out on the westside for a birthday celebration at Times Square. I've never been but my friends have been eating here for years and rave about it. I'm always the early nerd so arrived first. My friend did not make a reservation so I put in our name for 8 and went to go sit in the bar to have a drink and wait for everyone else to arrive. The bartender was incredibly sweet and even charged my phone for me while I was waiting. After our party arrived we only waited about another 10 min or so before our table was ready. Our waitress greeted us immediately and took our drink order. When she came back we ordered a few appetizers: Fried Mozzarella, Calamari and wings. I had read reviews how amazing their garlic parm's wings were so ordered those with medium sauce on the side. Fried Mozzarella is one huge block of fried cheese. Like they literally bread and fry a block of cheese. Wasn't bad but hard to share with a table since hot mozzarella doesnt cut really well but it was okay. Calamari had virtually no flavor and the wings were really greasy. Like a little pool of grease under them. Flavor was okay but I personally would have preferred more garlic. A variety of entrees were ordered but I personally had the Eggplant Sorrentino. It was just okay. Their sauce isn't great but it was rolled eggplant with salami and ricotta. Again lacked flavor and I couldn't taste the salami at all nor even find it in the dish. The saving grace of this restaurant is the staff. Totally hit or miss depends on cook and server. Same experience at different locations. Last week & last. night was not good al all. Other times it's very good. Most recently, overcooked, pasta so server brought a replacement pasta with NO SAUCE! . I said "Uh, where's the sauce... her reply.... "You only get one sauce per order & it's on your first pasta.. My reply, yes buts on the overcooked pasta & I don't like it! Baffled as to how I was supposed to magically move the sauce off the overcooked pasta , she offered no help & stood there silently ...... Excellent food, excellent service, relaxing space. Their chicken Alfredo was so flavorful and they added veggies for me. It came with garlic bread which was a nice addition. My husband had a sausage calzone. The crust was perfect with all the cheese and sausage to make it just right. The true show stopper was the marinara sauce. Chef's Kiss! Times Square does their thing every time, with no misses. Came here last Wednesday night and the place was packed. Ordered the pollo marconi, which is still one of my fave dishes after all these years since I can't find anything like it at other restaurants. Started stopping by here a few months back, it is always solid. Went in @ 935 last week, they had us out by 10 with drinks, apps, & entrees. Granted we pushed ourselves out quick, but they would leave the store open if we wanted. Previous bad reviews, no free bread? This isn't OG. It's a mom & pop that's always fresh, A ton of food for a decent price, with nice staff. Go get your frozen bread somewhere else. To-go not good? Deceiving appearance from the outside being in a strip center, but inviting and comfortable inside. We sat at one of the tall tables in the bar area receiving great service from the staff. This being our first time we went with their special for the evening. It was delicious and well prepared. Good sized portion which along with the bruschetta for an appetizer both of which we split was more than enough for the two of us. I'm Italian!!! Buddy & I went there, "OK" Italian food but they are cheap. They don't offer/have any free bread priority to your entree. They don't include a salad with your entree. I ordered the chicken parm. It says "2" breasts but there is no way that's true. It's probably 1, sliced into 2. Next, the breading was weak. It was not pounded, so it wasn't tenderized. It was "ok" nothing special and the side of spaghetti was small. For 20 bucks, there's far better Italian places to go eat at. read more

My partner went to pick them up so I can't say much for the service or ambiance, only that he thought it very much looked like a family owned establishment from the looks of it. I ordered the Linguine Principessa and some garlic bread on the side. They were all delicious. Generous portion of clams and shrimp! The garlic bread was $4 and it came with 3 big pieces so I was pleased by that as well. It wasn't too pricey so we may come and visit and eat at this establishment next time :) read more

This is the very best Italian food in Arizona. Huge family style menu with tons of pasta dishes. Everything is always delicious and if you like seafood the mussels and clam dishes outstanding. They still had plenty of seating available, but we chose to sit at the bar. Ordered fried momozzerella to start. We thought it was going to be plain old cheese sticks but holy cow were we wrong. Totally amazing fried mozzerella cheese. The marinara sauce was perfect and the fried mozzerella was not greasy or oily. Ordered a pastrami and cheese sandwich and a philly with pepepperonchini. Both sandwiches are huge proportions Both had a great taste even though we couldn't finish either sandwich but took home for the kids to eat. Split and order of French fries and they were great. I was stoked but kiddo didn't want calamari so I didn't buy it, bc I'm not about to eat a whole appetizer & entree on my own. It sounded really good though. I had the pasta Giovanni. I love my protein and they had 2 in it, chicken & sausage. Yum. The sauce was creamy and rich without being heavy and overly thick & rich. The tomato was not too acidic and the pasta was cooked well. The chicken pieces were cooked properly and not overdone. Sometimes with 2 proteins, one is overcooked while the other is decent. However, both were cooked properly. The portion was generous, so I have enough for lunch tomorrow. This was tasty, not overly salty, and it was done well. Yum. Kiddo had the penne with marinara. She kept saying "omg this is so good, I can't believe this is happening to me". Weird on my kiddo's part, but the sauce was pretty good. So, that should speak for itself. The kid's portions are a good size. She put a big dent in it, as we got there after her practice so she was hungry, but still had some leftover for lunch. Our meals came with garlic bread. It was pretty standard, but we dipped ours in our respective sauces and both really liked it. Dessert: bc obvi we aren't skipping that- Tiramisu-I was really excited for it, bc I love tiramisu and get it at almost every place I see it. It was decent, but I could have gone for more coffee flavor. Since the name means "pick-me-up" you'd assume there would be a touch more coffee in it. It doesn't taste bad at all, just like a vanilla dessert that's pretty creamy. Brownie-kiddo was disappointed they didn't have ice cream for on top of the brownie, but still wanted the brownie. It was pretty standard as far as brownies go. It was in the middle of fudgy & cakey. They served it warm with some whipped cream on top. Kiddo was going to try to eat the entire brownie and I said no. Basically, it's a shareable size, as was the tiramisu. Would I go here again? Yes. It wasn't too dark or overly loud or cold. Generally a comfortable family-friendly atmosphere with good food, and it looked clean. I felt like it's a decent value for the price, and the food had good flavor to it. Went for dinner for the first time at "Times Square" at 57th and Bell. It made a definite, first-time, impression on me... ALL BAD!! My first choice was the "Pollo Parmigiano," or the chicken parm dinner. The spaghetti was great and the sauce was tasty, but the chicken was chewy and somewhat fibrous, almost sinewy. It was like biting into connective muscle tissue of a wild game animal. I searched for reasons why chicken gets chewy or fibrous. The two most common reasons are: 1) overcooking the chicken or 2) undercooking the chicken. Overcooked chicken occurs when chicken is cooked for too long, especially at high temperatures, which causes the protein fibers to become elastic and dry, resulting in a chewy texture. Undercooked chicken occurs when chicken isn't cooked to a safe internal temperature (165°F or 74°C), thus, it can be tough and chewy. I'm not saying either of these explanations was the reason why my chicken turned out the way it did, but I never bit into chicken that fought back. My girlfriend ordered "Pollo Marconi," which was the eggplant and chicken dinner. I tasted just the chicken portion of her meal and it was moist, fluffy, soft and thoroughly enjoyable to chew. I told the server of my displeasure and she took the food away. She asked me if I wanted something else, so I decided to play it safe. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. My second choice came with a different set of issues. Again, the spaghetti was great and the sauce was tasty, but the meatballs had no substance. They were mushy, tasteless and were in the the consistency of soft, canned dog food. Growing up in Brooklyn, I was used to firm, thick meatballs and what I got was the complete opposite. For me, as far as I'm concerned, this review closes the book on "Times Square" once and for all. read more

First time at this location. We were there on a Sunday afternoon. They greeted and seated us promptly and took our drink order. When they came back with drinks we ordered the crab cakes. I overheard the manager say everything was made from scratch yet I would dispute that based on the cakes we received. They were ok. I don't think I would order them again. On to main course. My wife had the Rigatoni a la Laura. The sauce was really thin. It tasted ok but when she would pick up a noodle the sauce would just drip off of it. I had the Pollo Marconi. First impression was it could be a little bit warmer. It wasn't cold but it wasn't as hot as I would have liked. I thought they were trying a little too hard on this dish. My personal opinion was the breading on the chicken brought nothing to the table. The pasta was and sauce was really good though. We are wondering if we got the B kitchen team since we were there Sunday afternoon and plan to return based on our food experience at the Deer Valley store. We were fortunate enough to be served by an extraordinary individual, Jessica, who truly epitomized the art of hospitality. From the moment we were seated, she made us feel right at home. Not only was she knowledgeable about the menu, but she also took the time to listen to our preferences and offered insightful recommendations. The baked seafood fondue is addictive and honestly I could've just eaten that by itself as a main plate! The bruschetta is fresh and delicious. I had the Linguini E Vongole Bianco. The white wine sauce was perfect and the baby clams were cooked and seasoned just right. I tried some of my dates eggplant parmigiano. The eggplant was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside and a soft, melty texture on the inside. The marinara sauce was perfectly tangy. Dining in such a clean and well-maintained space not only enhances the overall dining experience but also instills a sense of confidence and trust in the establishment. I've been here a few times for breakfast and dinner, and for me, the breakfast vibe is better than the dinner vibe. This place is fairly new, but it does have an old-school diner vibe. I like it. Okay, I said the word "vibe" three times, so that's enough. Whoops that's 4! I wish the whole place was executed better from a service standpoint. It's very slow and it is really weird to walk in the front door, see the "please wait to be seated"sign and have to stand there for several awkward minutes, watching people eat and watching staff members look over periodically, not saying a word. Very odd. The pizza was just okay, it was somewhat bland. The breakfast was better, from both a service standpoint and a food standpoint. Have been to Times Square Italian many times when they were located on Union Hills. First time at the Glendale location. Birthday and holiday lunch for my Son and Family, party of 9. Danielle was our server and she did a fabulous job! We started off with a bruschetta, deep fried mozzarella, and a large chicken barbecue chicken pizza. Also had a smaller gluten free margherita pizza. All were very good. Highlights were the pizzas and fried mozzarella. Hgh raves for the chicken BBQ pizza. The bruschetta was a beautifull presentation. Needs a bit more twang to it for my taste. Perhaps a thinner toasted bread slice. All of it disappeared quickly. Entrees included several Fettuccine Alfredo dishes, Pasta Emiliano, Pollo Marconi, Pasta Giovanni, Mediterarian Chicken Salad, and large order of wings. I usually have the Pasta Giovanni which is a hearty penne pasta dish with tasty chicken sausage and mushrooms. It is sauteed in a tomato cream sauce with garlic and red pepper. I wanted to leave a review for a business that I think does not get enough visibility. It's an Italian restaurant named Times Square and it's next to the Walmart on Bell at 59th Ave and Bell. I was raised in an Italian family and even worked at the family Italian restaurant for several years as a kid. I'm very particular about my Italian food and a lot of it seems processed or right out of a can BUT this place is world-class. The menu is extensive and varied and they even serve breakfast. The food is not overly done, ever, and the portions are more than enough. The fish is fresh and prepared perfectly and they have some great pizza. I would HIGHLY recommend giving this a shot. The servers are pleasant and very professional and they even have a bar. They are now my first, and sometimes, only choice when it comes to Italian food. read more
