A quaint bowling alley with a fantastic steak place! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the meal was big enough to share! My pics are a split ;) rib eye, asparagus for me, rib eye and baked potato for my man! It was so moist and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely return. I recommend trying it if you come to bishop, ca.

The bowling alley itself is fine. Dozen or so lanes, cosmic bowling, child railings and regular bowling. Score computer worked well and was updated, however the lanes themselves need work as does the ball return as balls were getting stuck repeatedly. The younger employees working the bowling alley section were just ok. Prices were average for a Sunday afternoon game and of course shoes are available for rent. Overall a good time was had. The restaurant however was very good. I had heard before this is where locals eat and was happy to finally get a chance to try it out. This isn't just bar food and it was very good. Ordered a Blue Cheese Burger with fries, Turkey Sandwich on Sourdough with a very nice dinner salad and Chicken Wings. Everything was surprisingly good. Steaks and seafood were also on the menu and looked really good as the waitresses passed by. Service and pricing was great and it was a nice comfortable vibe. The average bowling lanes is the only thing that prevents this from 5 stars. I come to Bishop often and this is probably the best dinner in town. Lots of TVs and sports on, plenty of parking and in the center of town

We went there to eat steak since our friends highly recommended. Yet, they only serve dinner menu after 4om, we were there 2:30pm. Soooo, we decided to order burgers and onion rings. And they were fantastic!! it is in a bawling alley, so it is a bit loud, but we had no problem talking to each other without screaming to each other. Service: The server was very attentive and friendly. Parking: Pleeeenty of parking around the restaurant. We must go back to the famous steak next time!!

Great dinner at a bowling alley? I didn't believe it either, but we now eat there almost every time we go through Bishop and it's always great. Lots of choices and friendly service. Spring for an extra $2 and get the delicious Caesar salad instead of the also good regular salad that comes with the entree. Sometimes there is a wait but it's worth it.

Great service, food , and cocktails. What a find!!!!! Back alley bar and grill was an amazing restaurant. My dog was welcomed and the restaurant had tons of locals.

I immediately felt like I was at home. Me and my boyfriend are stopping here every time we go to Mammoth - it's a must. The hospitality was top notch. It felt like an oasis in a desert. Free chips and the sauces are super fresh. My god some of the best chips I've had. We got the ceviche - fire and fresh AF. Western burger was PHENOMENAL. Surf and turf was great - I asked for a side of habanero ranch. My goodness. Anyone who says the food isn't that good is straight tripping. We loved the meal from start to finish. See you foos soon!

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and found the place almost empty. The interior had was San Diego-themed, with sports memorabilia as decor and a large TV screen. We ordered some chips Tortilla Chips, Guacamole, and Salsa for the table to start with. We were a party of 6, and the size of the Guacamole was honestly comical. I think we were each able to get a single scoop. The salsa was decent, but the Tortilla Chips were extremely salty. They had a long list of specials, and I ordered the Shrimp Ceviche from that list. This was fine, but far from the best ceviche of my life. My friends said the same of their meals, including the Fish Tacos and Surf & Turf Burrito. Everything was just okay. Service was good but not the quickest!
