Sea Bass Filet
Greg F.

For lunch, we visited Bizmarkcito, which is a mariscos place. It's located on the La Paz Malecon. The restaurant is open air to the front with tables inside and out. It's a very large venue. We ordered the grilled fish (sea bass) with vegetables, six oysters, a lobster taco, and a shrimp taco. The grilled fish was good, and the portion was large. My wife enjoyed the oysters. The lobster taco was grounded up meat with no taste. The shrimp taco was okay. The shrimp were large, but again little taste compared to other area spots. Regarding the service, it was very good. Our server was attentive and friendly.

We had an okay dinner here. Service was good but we waited a bit too long. However, when we got there, we were seated right away. I ordered a seafood pizza and the cheese was too thick and the oysters were way too smoked. Most things were spicy so I wouldn't suggest this restaurant for spice sensitive people. Overall the food was okay. Considering where it is, it was pretty quiet but still had some good vibe. The ambiance was okay. If you really need to find a restaurant, you can go here but I don't highly recommend it. There are many other good places in La Paz.

La Paz specialty, whole deep-fried fish.

After all the hype, this place was truly a disappointment. First they didn't want to seat us together, we were a party of 8. We finally did get to sit together. Second, they ran out of lobster, only the really, really big one's were left, at market price. So I had to get my lobster in chunks on a baked potato, which lacked any flavor whatsoever. Service was slow and meals probably overpriced. Sad, because I was so excited to eat here. The only good thing was my bf's whole cooked fish, a La Paz specialty. The flavors, cook and presentation was amazing.

The sevice was wonderful, and it was our first night in La Paz. The food was super fresh and the view was fantastic. I would come back.

Octopus

Attentive service. Comfortable ambiance. Delicious food . I would recommend the octopus if you've never had it before.

Food was decent, wasn't anything to write home about. The service was subpar and the staff seemed annoyed to work or be there. I'm traveling with Spanish speaking friends and they felt the contempt as well. The best thing that happened was the server came over with a chafing fuel can because there were endless amount of flies. They were relentless when our food came. The smoke instantly got rid of the pest.

Smoked marlin salad

Slow service so be patient. Food was ok, had a smoked marlin salad. Red wine was limited to 3 brands... It is what it is, great location and fun for people watching. There's probably better places but if you don't feel like exploring this place is good.

Camarones a la Diabla

This place was recommended to us by two different people during our trip so we had to come here. I ordered the Fettuccini de Langosta and we all loved my dish. I was so happy with my dish. The Sangria was refreshing. My friends ordered the Arrachera pizza, camarones a la diabla, and the aguachiles.

We stopped in for a couple of ice cold beers. We also ordered a Shrimp Quesadilla! MUI DELICIOSO!!

Stuffed fish

The stuffed fished was insane! Excellent quality and flavor. Our server was attentive and courteous. The clove candle helped with the few flys outside, which were minimal considering we ate outside under the umbrellas. The drinks could have had more kick, but it was still an incredible lunch four our short stop in La Paz.

I agree is a tourist trap. In front of the ocean. Service was slow. Food was good but did not earn 5 stars from me.

The fish was tasty. The setting on the water with a nice breeze was very relaxing. The service was very professional and friendly.

The price is a little on the higher side for Mexico, but when you taste the food, you'll know why. They start you with a coffee cup of fish broth, try it. I'm not a fish broth person, but I finished mine real quick. Their octopus is also delightful. Definitely try everything you can here.

Looking at old photos of the exterior, it's no wonder we've passed this place up every time we've driven through. It was around evening time when we noticed their business sign -bright and vivid. We were familiar with the restaurant in Cabo so we knew the seafood would be good. We had to stop by as we were too starve to wait. We were greeted, seated and given menus immediately. A complimentary tea cup size fish broth arrived at our table; it was bland, but hot. I ordered my usual mixto civeche as my partner with her usual clams. Our food and drinks arrived in no time. While she had no complaints, unfortunately, my ceviche was not what I had expected. I figured since I liked the Toro Guero in Cabo so much, La Paz location would not disappoint. My mixto ceviche was dry and was missing seasoning. It was missing a "kick." Nonetheless, I lemoned it up and finished the entire dish without issues. Like I said, I was hungry. We returned today before our flight back home to San Diego. I wanted to try something new. The shrimp burrito was ok. Not alot of shrimp, too mushy due to guacamole and the tortilla fell apart....to heavy and wet. I used a fork to finish the rest. Staff members are attentive. I would return again and maybe try sometime different

It's a beautiful setting, their attention to detail is readily apparent. Modern and masculine with just enough rustic features to remind you they're cooking meat over flames, you immediately know that you're in for a treat. We had bone marrow served with refried beans (Who knew this was a killer combo?!?), Caesar salad (fresh and traditional), fish tacos (savory and snappy with zest), elote (maybe the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared tender corn oozing with flavor), whole snapper roasted over mesquite, rib eye (perfect medium rare with crispy rendered fat)...oh man...what a treat! Probably my 6th time here over the last decade and they've always been good. They now might be at their peak. It's expensive, likely one of the most costly meals you'll have in La Paz - we ordered wines, drinks, multiple apps, entrees and desserts - and spent around $100 US each for a dinner that would cost twice as much stateside. If you like fine dining, this place is an absolute must.
