The display case on a Sunday, right before the morning rush arrives and clears it out.

After seeing other reviews, we decided to give Bisou a try. We went on a Sunday morning, after a late night out, looking for light, fluffy, flaky pastries and boy - we weren't let down. The bakery is tucked away from the main street in between a condo building, preschool and other commercial buildings. It's a bit out of the way for foot traffic, but don't let it's unassuming location fool you. Mahan was behind the counter, and he was very obliging to our questions, and made excellent recommendations. He let us sample the pear danish and pistachio danish. Both were excellent but the pistachio was HEAVEN. Please do yourself a favor and pick one up if you are ever at this location. We ended up ordering a chocolate croissant, regular croissant and a spinach and feta puff pastry. The croissant were light, and balanced but my favorite was the spinach puff. Ask for it warmed up! They also have fresh loaves for purchase. We purchased a sourdough to take home and were happy with it. This was a good stop for a lazy Sunday morning. We'll be going back again and would recommend picking up pastries, a latte, and then heading over to Ambleside for a walk beside the ocean. There's no better way to spend a morning!

The bakeries in North Shore are sure setting new standards! Bison Bake House was a new find I recently came across while in the area. It is quietly tucked in 16 St W that opened just a year ago and is worth a visit! Just gazing through their pastry counter with all the glistening French pastries sure sends those happy feels from my eyes to my tummy! I purchased a variety of pastry and cakes: Raisin & Custard Danish + Tomato & Olive Strudel + Mixed Berry Muffin + Cherry Chocolate Roulette. And the packaging of the box is beautiful too! The goods here makes a wonderful treat to share with family or friends and they surely will be impressed!

I was given an almond croissant and I really enjoyed it! It was buttery, flakey and there was a small amount of almond paste filling in the croissant. It was a nice treat.

The winner for me was the cinnamon roll with caramel and pistachio.

Grandma started reminiscing about us having Galette des Rois when we were in Europe many years ago;…read moreso even though we'd already had our Galette des Rois for this year from To Live For Bakery, for my dear mommy's sake I decided to order another Galette des Rois that we could have with her at her house. This time I ordered a traditional version that comes with a crown and a small ceramic piece (known as a fève) hidden inside the pastry. I ordered this one from Le Pont Patisserie. This shop is known more for their eclairs but they carry a good number of other beautiful and tempting pastries. There was a choice of 5, 6, or 7 inches for the Galette des Rois at Le Pont Patisserie. I ordered the 6 inch for $35 and it was just right for us as we were a small group of people. Wow! Such flakiness! Super impressed with how flaky this Galette des Rois was, and the frangipane filling was heavenly. While it was an excellent Galette des Rois, I do have to admit that I think it is very much overpriced for the size that they offer. Grandma found the fève and was crowned Queen that night! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street Location: 230 15th St., West Vancouver, BCo

Their pastries are freshly made on the day. They were very generous on the filling. I really liked the fluffiness and tastiness of the Zaku Zaku. Service was great as well. The lady took the time explaining their pastries. C shared one of her pastries puff with me and it was nice and light. The flavor was not overpowering. I will be back next time I am in the area.
