Tried out a Too Good to Go package from this place. When I walked in, I didn't see any of the beautiful, fancy desserts that I had seen last time I was in the shop. Hoping it's just that they were temporarily out of stock or something and that they havn't stopped making those lovely desserts altogether. Those desserts were showstoppers. For the Too Good to Go package I was given a bag that had a savory croissant sandwich in it and a box that had two large sized pieces of some kind of flaky pastry with cheese in it. The croissant had cheese on top and some kind of deli meat in the middle. I don't eat meat so I warmed this up for my husband and daughter to share. The flaky pastry with cheese I saved and warmed up for breakfast with my daughter the next day. A bit of Google searching has told that those flaky pastries are Cheese Pitas. It's a mix of feta and cottage cheese inside. Always a gamble with Too Good to Go. I probably wouldn't have ever thought to order these foods if I'd walked into the shop and ordered regular price. I see that as a plus though, not a minus. I kinda like trying things I wouldn't normally think to try. The pastry on both the croissant and cheese pita were both very flaky. I still prefer the sweets here over the savory items but the savory items are pretty good too. If you like flaky pastries, this is a pretty good place for that! read more

Dropped by this place thinking it was new but turns out they've been around for 2+ years. Must have been living under a rock. We ordered two of their cakes to go. They gave a disclaimer to wait "20 minutes" before eating because it was still frozen. Brought them home and attempted to consume maybe an hour later. It was strangely still cold and slightly frozen. I expected more fruit or more actual cake taste. Perhaps these were to be sorbet/gelato cakes as it was strange to eat these so cold. Cakes themselves were well presented. However the experience was quite confusing as I didn't actually know what I was to expect when consuming. Will need to return to have it there next time so I can rate properly. read more

I have visited Davie Village Bakery several times and always enjoy their variety of menu items, such as croissants and cakes. I visited this bakery for a special limited-edition item featured in the Vancouver Croissant Crawl. Crème Brûlée Cube Croissant Vanilla custard filling with a crunchy, burnt sugar top. 2024 Design Your Dream Croissant Winner. The croissant cube's dough was very crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The vanilla custard filling was delightful, and the burnt sugar topping, reminiscent of crème brûlée, was a standout feature. The XXL croissant is super worth and I highly reccomend it!!! I thought it'd be a gimmick but I was proven so wrong!!! The pistachio XXL croissant was flakey, and they filled it with a delicious pistachio filling which paired so well with the croissant!! Also tried the almond croissant and spinach feta croissant and they were also rly rly good! I would definitely be back to get one to share with friends again!! read more

Located in the heart of Davie Village, this place has the best workers and delicious baked goods. This place was introduced to us as a "eastern European bakery". We got a box of goodies, including sweet danishes, and filled donuts; also got a piece of cream cake for dessert. When they heard we are visiting from Seattle, the people who work here insisted on gifting us some savory pies to try. I loved the meat and the spanich ones, they were perfect for a simple and substantial breakfast the next morning. read more

Wow! Talk about VALUE! Davie Village Bakery is a gem. It is small and their signage is easy to miss from the front, but you would be missing out if you don't step in and check it out. Friendly staff and delicious pastries for a reasonable price. We have been here twice and have tried a variety of things at this bakery. My partner loves their spinach and cheese croissant or sausage roll for breakfast. We have also indulged in their chocolate cakes and their giant chocolate croissants which promises chocolate in every bite. Will certainly be back to try other pastries and gelato as well! read more

Davie Village Bakery is one of the best in the area if you're wanting something sweet, savory, filling or dessert! They truly have something for everyone! All their pastries are soft, fluffy and just the perfect balance of sweetness! They're also very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I love how they offer gelato too if you're feeling a cold and refreshing treat while walking downtown ! I personally loved their fruit tart and Ukranian chocolate bread ! We got the pistachio double baked croissant. It was absolutely amazing. Not too sweet & the perfect chewiness. They also had a wide selection of flavours to try from including a lavender croissant which looked so cute. Will definitely go back for more.
